Ministry Update March brought exciting new partnerships to our support team We had notplanned on Jasmine focusing on any support team development while in theUS for sake of time and sanity and yet God brought along two new churchestwo new individuals and an increase in one donors monthly giving In all wesaw a $500 increase in our monthly support which means were now just $400away from having 100 of our needed monthly support Praise God The otherhuge praise is that one of our new churches Manzanita Baptist Church hasgraciously set up an online giving option Now you can donate online throughthem and receive a tax deduction See the side bar for more info and pleaseremember to specify our name in the Add special instructions to recipient

Sharing at Messiah in February
Plans for Family Retreat have been moving along wonderfully We havebeen asked to set up a booth at a two day Missions event at First Church inApril We are busy starting to prep for that and are working on a displaybanner brochure and other promotional materials We hope to promote not justFamily Retreat but also gain interest in the congregation to be part of theweekly wheelchair distributions at RICD Were very eager to get someonecoming weekly to share the gospel during our work day fittings and thusconnecting the recipients to First Church

Tan and his first camper last year
We also are excited to announce that one of our wonderful volunteers andmember of the Family Retreat Leadership Team Tan has been accepted to aJoni and Friends internship this summer He will be traveling to Arizona in Juneand taking part in the Phoenix Area office internship It will involve serving at aFamily Retreat in Arizona taking the Beyond Suffering course othereducational and community work and a missions trip to Mexico all centeredon disability ministry and equipping him to return to Thailand and furthering thiswork here He has been awarded a scholarship that covers 80 of theinternship fees However we still need $2000 to cover the rest of theinternship fees and his visa and travel from Chiang Mai to Phoenix He hasbeen hard at work coming up with fundraising ideas and were very proud ofthe hard work he is putting into this However this is a very large sum andquite daunting Would you prayerfully consider being part of this endeavorThis is a very tangible investment in disability ministry in Thailand Tan is adeacon at First Church teaches and McGilvary Seminary here in Chiang Maiand was educated at Bob Jones University in the US He is a phenomenal guyand will have the ability to impact his church and community Please email us ifyou or your church would like to be involved in this

As our relationship has continued to development with First Church we

have also decided to begin attending First Church primarily We have beenreluctant to make the full switch because of how much we love our housechurch and the fellowship there We still hope to attend our house church oncea month This switch will also mean that we will be working hard to listen tosermons in Thai so please pray for our language skills Were excited to furtherbecome part of the fellowship and community of First Church and to see howGod will stretch us Please also pray as we work to build a weekly small groupwith a few other young missionary families to have community for us and thekids and spiritual growth in our native language

Joey stayed quite busy with the Wheelchair Project in March He designeda new shelving system for the warehouse and was involved in a lot of newplans for the project We have received some new pediatric wheelchairsthrough an Australian foundation that we are very excited about as pediatricwheelchairs are so very difficult to come by

Thank you so much for praying us through Jasmines visit to the US Weare so excited for all God did especially with allowing the Thai Team such aspecial visit
Family Update
We continued to have an amazing time with family in the US Ilyria andCordelia just loved all the time being spoiled by family We even were blessedto be able to make an unexpected visit to Joeys family in Memphis
Tennessee Ilyria and Cordelia even has their first experience with snowincluding a snowball fight with Mr Matt and Grandma Wendy in the kitchen Weare so thankful for special memories made It means so much for our girls toknow their family and its eases our hearts to be able to continue talking aboutour family once home and keeping the relationships alive and real for themWhat a gift

Cordelia and Uncle Dan at the Pink Palace in Memphis
Wendy Lauren amp Jasmine (plus a bit of Cordelia)
We have made great strides in our adoption Our homestudy is completelydone and waiting at our agency for approval In addition Jasmine was able tocompletely notarize all of our dossier and parts of it are currently waiting to be
authenticated in Arizona and Ohio before going on to our agency Lastly wereawaiting the girls Certificates of Birth Abroad from the US government whichthen need to be authenticate and sent to our agency After that our dossier willbe complete and were praying it can be in Serbia in a month Then we awaittravel (Before you ask we have literally no idea when that could happen Weare telling ourselves November and if not November then January 2016) Wehave received a new update on our girl and though it kills us we cant reallyshare anything more about her We can say that God has answered a specificprayer we had for her development and that she is getting absolutelyphenomenal care which makes our hearts so happyWe can also share that we are only about $5shy7000 away from completelypaying for the adoption What a praise Once we have our homestudy we willbe applying for some grants and setting up a way to donate with a taxdeduction so stay tuned And thank you to all who made our pants fundraisera roaring success

Jasmine and the girls had a relatively easy trip home We pushed it back byone week to visit Joeys family avoid more of the pollution that was particularlybad and allow Jasmine more time to finish adoption paperwork They left LasVegas on the 27th and arrived in Chiang Mai on the 29th after 30+ long hoursof travel The kids did relatively well and were all overjoyed to be reunited after

We continued to have an amazing time with family in the US Ilyria andCordelia just loved all the time being spoiled by family We even were blessedto be able to make an unexpected visit to Joeys family in Memphis
Tennessee Ilyria and Cordelia even has their first experience with snowincluding a snowball fight with Mr Matt and Grandma Wendy in the kitchen Weare so thankful for special memories made It means so much for our girls toknow their family and its eases our hearts to be able to continue talking aboutour family once home and keeping the relationships alive and real for themWhat a gift
