What time is it?
Clocks and watches tell the time

They come in all sizes and shapes
Clocks and watches have faces
Often, those faces are numberedfrom I (1) to XII (12)
Clocks and watches have hands, too
one for the seconds…
one for the minutes…
one for the hours…
Those hands go round in circles, clockwise
(which means from left to right)
Those hands go round in circles, clockwise

Those hands go round in circles, clockwise
(which means from left to right)
From twelve to six, you say it’s past the hour:
It’s 25 past four. It’s half past one.
It’s ten past ten.
From six to twelve, you say it’s to the hour:
It’s five to 12. It’s nine to two.
It’s eight to six.
There are hours
It’s three o’clock.
It’s seven o’clock.
It’s twelve o’clock.
There are half hours
It’s half past ten.
There are quarters of an hour
It’s quarter to six.
It’s quarter past two.
And there is everything in between
It’s 24 past four.It’s 18 past seven
It’s five to twelve.
It’s one thirty-eight.
12 o’clock can also be:
Noonormidday
Midnight.
