Hosting the show will be John Ritter of Three's Company fame, Canadian Paul Anka and Dennis James. The guests to enliven the proceedings include Bob Hope, Henry Winkler (The Fom) and Donny and Marie Osmond. Add to the efforts the extensive poster campaigo that has taken plaa to publicize &e telethon and the mnt should prove sueeessful. STOP0 VER PRIVILEGE FOR TAXPA YERS

The first 1980 due date for payment of City of Vancouver

#!I taxes is February 5. To accommodate taxpayers, B.C. H will once again grant stopover privileges to anyone who w to get off at City Hall, pay their taxes, and continue journey.

This eoncession does not permit taxpayers to go to City Hall and then make a return journey. Ask the transit operator for a transfer when you hoard your bus. This will allow a one-hour stopover. The transfer must be stamped at the City Treasurer's Department at City Hall to be valid for continuation of the journey.

This special privilege will he in effect through lo February 5 . A similar concession will be available when the second tax pay- ment becomes due.

CHINATOWN BEAUTIFICATION It is expected that minor route changes will become effective

Sunday, January 21 in the Chinatown area due to the closure of the Pender-Keeler Diversion. Routes affected are: 6 Fraser, 19 Kingsway, 22 Knight, 54 Stride, 55 Twelfth Street, 96 Sixth Street and the Shopper's Freebus.

8 Prairie service in the area of Chelsea & lnvemess Streets, Coquitlam. is now a permanent route change.

Westbound, the route is from the terminus at Chelsea & Cedar Drive via Chelsea, lavemess, E w x , Cedar Drive and follows the regular route beyond.

There is no change in the eastbound portion of this service.
