Behnke intercom devices can be integrated with existing telecommuni-cation or data networks and draw the energy for their standard functions from the phone line or via PoE. Unlike traditional intercom systems, if you use existing phones you do not need a second cable network. The devices are easy to use. For example, visitors can be welcomed and admitted remotely with any standard phone, e.g. from the workplace. If the Behnke intercom is an unrestricted extension it can even be reached from a mobile phone. By using the existing infrastructure, wall-mounted phones and an additional cable system are not required, providing and economic solution.

Discover the new generation of SIP intercom devices!The new IP products have been developed in-house to Behnke’s exacting quality standards and they have a convincing, completely redesigned configuration with numerous new features and options.

Special functions at a glance: ▸ The SIP electronics have an integrated PoE switch with VLAN support. This means that other PoE-capable terminal devices can also be sup-plied with electricity. The subscribers or users do not even have to be in the same IP network. ▸ Thanks to the autoprovisioning function the intercom is set up auto-matically, provided the phone system is configured accordingly. ▸More than 200 phone book entries and 100 speed dialling destina-tions can be stored in the SIP intercom. Depending on the modular features, up to eight direct call buttons and two additional buttons (i button and alarm input) can be connected. ▸ Up to nine voice announcements can be configured, these can be easily recorded into the intercom or uploaded. ▸ The "hands-free" function takes place in full duplex and with echo suppression and provides optimum voice quality. ▸ If the display module is used in an SIP intercom, five different texts, each with four lines of 20 characters, can be configured. ▸ Updates are downloaded via the web interface. thanks to their very flexible modular design. The tried and tested principle of a modular system is available across the Series 20, 30 and 50 products. The function modules offer maximum flexibility as they can be put together in any configuration to meet the customer’s requirements. A range of functions can be catered for – from the high-quality camera module, the keypad with code lock function, the display with phone book function through to the use of access control systems such as card readers and fingerprint recognition. Behnke products bear the “Quality made in Germany” seal, and this is fully justified as they are largely developed and produced in Germany.

Almost all front panels are made of metal (aluminium, brass or stainless steel). This ensures a long life and protection against vandalism, even under heavy use. The use of CNC controlled flatbed laser machines enables stainless steel to be machined with the highest possible precision and fit. The door intercoms can also be powder coated in any RAL or DB colour on request. Behnke products can also be customised to offer, for example, logo engraving, ,engraved lettering, engraved house numbers or custom-made designs .

The video image is routed to a videophone and the door is opened conveniently with a single touch to your touchscreen. The components are connected to the existing phone system, which supports the SIP protocol. The videophones of different manufacturers work as system extensions in IP capable phone systems.

ip video mulTiplexThe Behnke IP video software, as a monitoring control centre, enables camera images from Behnke, Axis® or Mobotix® cameras to be displayed in multiplex with up to 16 cameras simultaneously (depending on the performance of the PC used). It is possible to decide whether each camera is to record continuously or only when required. The recording always takes place in full camera resolution, regardless of the displayed image size. A special format is used for recording, the recorded images can be exported in formats supported by Microsoft® Windows®. The user can choose whether the image for the call from the door is displayed in multiplex or in a separate window.

B-smarT – The app for door inTercom devices

Know who is ringing the doorbell when you’re out and about

B-Smart is the secure and reliable solution for transmitting a live image and phone call from the Behnke door intercom to your smartphone or PC tablet. The smartphone or PC tablet (iOS/Android) is used as a mobile remote terminal. Indoor panels, wall-mounted phones and DECT phones are an option.

Series 20, 30 or 50 door intercom devices are equipped with IP camera modules for the use of B-Smart. The door intercom is connected to the internet and the WLAN network by means of a router for image transmission. Thanks to the new SIP integration, Behnke IP 2.0 makes easy work of setting up an autonomous system. This simple and economic solution saves the cost of wiring in the building.

When triggered by a call, the live video image and the call are encrypted for secure transmission. The image and the call are displayed together via the user-friendly app, the call can be accepted directly. The calls are logged in the camera with their image, date and time and can be called up at any time.

The "TC Behnke" app is re-quired for reception of the live image on the mobile terminal device with iOS or Android operating system. The app can be downloaded, free of charge, from the Apple® app store and the Google® play store.

Thanks to large, self-explanatory pictograms, the differentiation between the “Call in/out”, “Talk“ and “Open door” phases is very easy to recognise. Use of an inductive hearing system enables hard-of-hearing people to communicate with the remote terminal. To do this, they simply have to switch their hearing aid to the “T” position.

Thanks to the visual contact via a camera you can also make yourself understood by using sign language. Haptic highlighting on the keypad facilitates orientation for the blind and they are therefore able to use all the functions. The aluminium nameplate can also be engraved with Braille.

An additional voice announcement can be used to welcome visitors and to help them orientate themselves

You couldn’t find a suitable door intercom for your application on the previous pages? No problem! With Behnke’s modular system you can conveniently assemble your very own configuration to meet your exact needs. The following steps show you just how easy it is. You can also use our online programme: www.behnke-online.de/konfigurator

Step 1 – Function modules

Choose the right function modules for you on the following page. Please ensure that each door intercom is equipped with a loudspeaker and a microphone. The further the loudspeaker and microphone are spatially apart, the louder your Behnke door intercom can be set. The red star on the function modules indicates whether you need a separate power supply unit. If so, please order it at the same time as the intercom.

If you want to extend or change the functions of an existing door intercom, you can simply swap the individual modules.

Step 2 – Front frame

Once you have assembled your function modules, you need to choose a suitable frame. Vertical and horizontal frames are available to choose from, depending on the type of installation.

Counter plates are needed if functionl modules have to be fixed in the front frame. This is the case for separate electronics (Triphonie) and if the front panels are larger than the basic electronics.

Step 3 – Electronics

The next step is to search for the analogue or IP electronics in the suitable size for the module frame. The cables are labelled, so that later when you install the modules you only have to plug them in.

For space and security reasons or as protection against vandalism, it is possible to install the electronics of the Behnke door intercom away from the place in which the actual intercom is installed.

A bespoke solution

If you would like a Behnke door intercom but your installation dimensions are not standard that is not a problem. Alongside the standard door intercom devices, individual, made-to-measure Behnke solutions can also be implemented. Behnke products can be adapted to any installation requirements both in terms of size and shape, as well as iin terms of material and functionality.

Regardless of whether it is a door intercom, a pillar, a pylon or a letterbox solution, the standard front panels of the door intercom devices are made of 4 mm thick aluminium. Unique to Behnke, the panel sizes can be made to measure and of stainless steel, stainless steel look (V2A design) or , brass.

A large selection of function modules from the Behnke modular system enables a diverse range of combinations from card readerto fingerprintto camera, etc.). You can also choose between analogue or IP technology.

Extending electronics

With these printed circuit boards, the electronics of the a/b Behnke door intercom devices can be extended to include different additional functions. The electronic extensions are available as plug-in boards or as printed boards in an external housing.

This symbol Option E+ indicates whether electronics are

extendable or not.

Additional amplifier

If the normal volume of your Behnke door intercom is inade- quate, you can install the additional amplifier to connect a pressure-chamber loudspeaker to the basic electronics.

Counter plates are used if there are no electronics integrated in to the phone. This is the case for remote, separate electronics or if the front panels are larger than the basic electronics. The open counter plates are used to fix modules onto the front frame, when this isn't achieved with the electronics.

Print behind Plexiglas

This printing technique produces extraordinarily high picture quality. This means that durable prints of photo quality can be produced and opens up a large number of design options, e.g. for logos, coats of arms, etc.

Backlighting uses a special printing method. The Plexiglas, printed twice, initially appears darker. If the light in the background is switched on, the colours become brighter and clearer.

Behnke Nano – cleaning kit

This special cleaning kit consists of a special universal cleaner and a metal-sealing compound. The cleaner is highly effec-tive. The innovative microsplitting process enables thorough cleaning without using harmful solvents or bleaches. The nano universal cleaner removes dirt residues from almost all surfac-es and can be used for both manual and mechanical cleaning. The product is used to clean surfaces, which are then coated with the nano seals.

The nano metal-sealing product is a coating material based on chemical nanotechnology and produces very good repellent performance causing aqueous and oily liquids to trickle off the surface. The seal makes it easier to remove dirt and residues from metal surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminium and brass.
