SUPER WING CARRIERNooteboom has developed a special semi-trailer that is marketed under the name of Super Wing Carrier. This semi-trailer is equipped with pendle axles, which provides the Super Wing Carrier with a much wider steering angle and signifi cantly more axle travel for ex-tra ground clearance. The pendle axles also ensure the platform remains extremely stable, even at maximum steering angles. This too is an important advantage compared to semi-trailers with turntable steering.

The TELE-PX Super Wing Carrier can also be equipped with a variable adjustable wing support system. With this univer-sal wing support it is possible to transport any type and make of rotor blade adapted to its specifi c needs. And what’s more, in situations where manoeuvrability is a critical factor, the wheel base can be adjusted with this wing support by as much as 12 metres without having to move the load.
132 CM TOTAL GROUND CLEARANCEThe Super Wing Carrier is also equipped with a special mechanic construction in the gooseneck that increases the total ground clearance of the semi-trailer – acting together with the pendle axles - by around 82 cm. Even with the gooseneck raised at its maximum height, the fi fth wheel will remain perfectly horizontal so the tractor can easily turn underneath it. This too helps to negotiate roundabouts and it prevents unnecessary wear of the tractor.
RETRACTABLE AXLE ASSEMBLYHowever, what makes the Super Wing Carrier so revo-lutionary is not just the use of pendle axles. Above all it is the possibility to extend/retract the axle assembly by more than 6 metres. This means the wheelbase is variable adjustable and so is the rear overhang of
the wind turbine blade, without the need to detach the blade from the load fl oor. Adjusting the axle assembly can be done en route, for instance when negotiating a roundabout – depending on the traffi c situation.

SUPER WING CARRIERNooteboom has developed a special semi-trailer that is marketed under the name of Super Wing Carrier. This semi-trailer is equipped with pendle axles, which provides the Super Wing Carrier with a much wider steering angle and signifi cantly more axle travel for ex-tra ground clearance.
