Record turnover & future growth plansSale based

cleaning and facilities service provider, Floorbrite, has announced record turnover of more than £15.5m for 2017 – an increase of £3m on 2016.

In the last four years, the firm has enjoyed 13%, 15%, 20%, and 24% year-on-year growth. The company’s goal for the next two years is to achieve £20m turnover by 2020, a target that the family-run business is confident it’ll hit.

Floorbrite, which employs more than 1,400 people across the UK, including at a base in Leeds and Birmingham, has continued to build on its year-on-year growth by expanding its portfolio of clients & services into new & emerging areas of the market.

The firm, which is owned and operated by the Wyers family, continues to enjoy a 25 year relationship with CBRE as one of their most long standing clients, as well as having developed relationships with JD Sports, BooHoo, St John’s Ambulance, Urban Splash and new clients including Kier and Zenith Vehicle Hire.

Nik Wyers (pictured), Joint Managing Director at Floorbrite, says, “We’ve always believed that if we’re going to do something, we have to do it well but more importantly – we’ve never been afraid to fail. Direct Air: Leading name in compressed airIndustrial Process News is proud to present

Direct Air and Pipework with our coveted Compressed Air Company of the Month profile.

Direct Air and Pipework specialise in providing industry leading solutions surrounding everything compressed air and pipework. The company was founded in 1993 by Managing Director Allan Dolby, as a family run business. From their head office in Coventry, the company have since become one of the UK’s premier choices for compressed air and pipework solutions. In 2004, they invested in a new facility in Cheltenham, allowing them to cement their footprint in both the Midlands and South West markets. Now, just over two decades on from their inception, they operate on a national scale, and have worked for clients abroad in Slovakia, France and even South Africa.

Approximately 70% of all companies use compressed air for some aspect of their operations, with around 10% of all the industrial electricity consumed in Europe used to generate air. The equipment used to generate the air is referred to as a compressor which takes a gas, usually air, and compresses it into a smaller space. Air compressors use different technologies, including water, oil or fans, to achieve this outcome.

The company have numerous air compressors available, distributing and installing systems from CompAir, BOGE, Hydrovane, Bambi and more leading

brands. When leading on installation projects, they tend to favour aluminium systems over galvanised steel as it is lighter, more resistant to rust, and easier to manoeuvre and install.

As air compressors and pipework are used in a plethora of applications, from manufacturing to supply chains, Direct Air have become a respected name across engineering, aerospace, automation, food processing and pharmaceuticals. Better yet, they offer a free compressed air system assessment to find clients the right solution for their needs.

We spoke to Marketing Manager Emma Dolby about their services, to which she explained, “We offer everything to do with a complete compressed air system; supply of all equipment including downstream, installation, after sales support and ongoing maintenance. In addition, we also have inhouse project management capabilities, where we can create bespoke systems in accordance to client needs. We can provide 2D and 3D CAD design, creating models and drawings of compressed air systems, pipes and plants.”

In recent years, there has also been growing demand for on-site nitrogen generation. Typically, Nitrogen is obtained through liquid N2 delivery and high pressure compressed gas cylinders. However, Direct Air install and service nitrogen generators to deliver gas on-site

which is a more reliable, safer and cost-effective method. Emma explained, “Our nitrogen generators can be configured to meet our customers’ specific requirements. The installation is wonderfully simple too, just connect a compressed air line to the nitrogen generator package and connect the generator outlet to your own nitrogen line, and you’re set.”

Not only that, but Direct Air also offer oil free air solutions. Oil is a huge concern for many different processes, as even a drop can damage equipment, ruin products and disrupt production. “We have multiple oil free solutions to achieve essential air purity for our customers, which include oil free compressors or oil lubricated compressors with filtration.”

The last few years have been particularly exciting for Direct Air, who were recently selected to be one a few selected oil free specialists with access to CompAir's Ultima oil free solution. Direct Air were extremely proud to take delivery of the very first Ultima compressors in Europe. Boasting a 12% energy efficiency and allowing for a 37% smaller carbon footprint, the Ultima guarantees reduced energy consumption and hence reduced energy costs. Last year, Direct Air also won the Northern Europe Oil Free Distributor Company of the Year award, as well as UK Compressor Distributor of the Year, selected by Gardner Denver.

Direct Air also have a robust after sales support service team. All contracted customers have access to their 24/7 response unit, which is particularly good for production facilities which tend to run 24/7. Their maintenance engineers are all manufacturer trained and are able to be on-site within 24 hours’ notice.

This year, they are celebrating their 25th Anniversary and underwent a transformative rebranding in February. With a new logo, new website and reaffirming their commitment to always deliver the very best products whilst practising great communication, expertise and technical guidance, Direct Air demonstrate why they are the number one choice for all compressed air requirements.

If you would like to know more about Direct Air’s excellent services, then don’t hesitate to get in contact today. Alternatively, to find out more information please feel free to check out the website detailed below.

Introducing the Electronically Operated Double Diaphragm pumpCDR Pumps is proud to present the

EODD, a pump that will give the features and benefits of a traditional diaphragm pump, but with electric motor drive as opposed to expensive compressed air. The ideal pump solution for applications that require low pulsation and a smooth flow, the EODD features a patented air charged drive which reduces pulsation without the need for pulsation dampeners or surge tanks, while state of the art technology allows the pump to stall under pressure preventing pump failures. The energy efficient electric drive reduces energy consumption up to 5x compared to traditional air operated diaphragm pumps and the

seal-less diaphragm pump design eliminates leaking and failures.

One of the biggest barriers when introducing the Electronically Operated Diaphragm pump is the cost. There is no sugar-coating it, this pump costs

2-3 times more than its air operated counterpart and when you’re running a tight budget to a strict deadline the figure on that quote you have been given is crucial; however, would you pay £2,855 more for a pump that will subsequently save you over £4,000 in running costs in the first six months? The pump quickly pays for itself!

The electronically operated diaphragm pump is a revolution in the pump industry, so to find out more about how it could be the right choice for your application, call CDR Pumps on: +44 (0)1933 674777 to arrange a demonstration or visit: www.cdrpumps.co.uk/eodd

Filling machines by LynchTEC SystemsA family business with vast

experience in solving filling and packing issues in the paints and coatings, chemical and lube oil industries. Our core business is in the design and manufacture of cost-effective small to medium sized liquid and paste filling machines. Primarily for the 1st time buyer where we are particularly good at holding customers hands through their 1st purchase which might take them from a labour intensive manual decanting/filling set-up to a semi-auto scenario. With manual filling there is normally an amount of ‘product give-away’ factored into the process however when the product has established itself and orders have begun to increase, this regular ‘give-away’ becomes an obvious issue where savings can be made

alongside the inevitable ‘bottleneck’ of the manual process. Accurate weights/fill volumes and faster filling speeds significantly improve the bottom line and allows resources to be deployed elsewhere. Nobody ever regrets partnering with LynchTEC Systems to solve their filling and packing problems. LynchTEC – ‘More than just the machine.’

Another knockout year for CTS EuropeHere at

Industrial Process

News, we would like to extend a huge congratulations to CTS Europe Ltd for winning our highly coveted Laboratory Containment Systems Company of the Year Profile, as a result of their continued excellence in constructing and commissioning only the best laboratory equipment.

CTS Europe was established in 2010 by Sean Codling, specialising in designing, installing, commissioning, and providing training for all of their laboratory enclosure systems. From their factory in Portsmouth, CTS manufacture high level performance equipment, producing mobile bench mounted laboratory fume hood cabinets and other safety containment systems. These enclosures allow lab technicians to carry out their work in the safest and most secure way possible, with CTS’ systems also capable of being made bespoke in accordance to client needs.

We spoke to founder Sean about who their systems may benefit, to which he explained, “We have a robust network of experienced suppliers and service engineers throughout the world, allowing us to work with clients from all over the UK, Europe, Asia, the USA, Africa and Australia. We supply our products throughout the Pharmaceutical and General Laboratory industry, primarily to Laboratory Managers and Hygienists.”

Enclosure systems are used to provide safe handling environments for the manipulation of potent drug compounds, whilst also providing climatically controlled enclosure systems, allowing for highly sensitive reactions to take place. Hence, these safe and controlled enclosures are incredibly important to a number of critical laboratory processes. CTS’s wide range of products includes powder weighing enclosures, instrument enclosures, ventilated laboratory cabinets, isolator systems, and temperature and humidity controlled cabinets.

Their enclosure systems are made using years’ worth of design expertise, with all of their in-house engineers being Solidworks™ CAD certified professionals. Better yet, for those customers seeking tailor made solutions, CTS can also provide 3D visualisations of any safety laboratory system with their equipment or process incorporated before it is made, drastically cutting down on lead times and costs on all sides. In addition to manufacturing some of the world’s most renowned enclosure systems, CTS also offer a comprehensive and thorough installation and commission service.

Besides manufacturing, CTS’ consultancy service aims to provide clients with a fully coordinated approach for their needs, bringing together engineering, containment and service providers to offer the most complete and reliable containment solution. Not only that, but CTS have an after sales support service, providing preventative maintenance and support if needed.

One of the most lauded and impressive products from CTS includes the Lab Bubble™, an innovative benchtop laboratory fume hood that offers four different types of controlled environments and which won the top prize at the Lion’s Lair Innovation Competition. The revolutionary Lab Bubble boasts a state of the art re-circulatory fume hood system, and is making waves throughout the pharmaceutical market in light of its versatility, cost-effectiveness, and smart design. Despite its compact size, it performs as well as the typical larger build containment systems and is in line with current European Fume Hood performance standards. There are a number of great advantages to opting for a Lab Bubble™. On top of saving space, it requires minimal maintenance, is easy to install, is built to be user friendly, and comes in 4 different models.

Sean explained, “The 4 models allow operators a completely safe and sealed way to approach numerous different processes. Our Safety Bubble model is ideal for operators handling

dangerous chemicals, whilst the Glove Bubble is perfect for sealed environments and sensitive samples. It features gas inlet and outlet ports, meaning users can create the specific gas conditions needed, as well as a transfer hatch that allows for entry and exit within the bubble without disrupting the atmosphere.

“The PCR Clean Air Bubble is most commonly used for handling PCR reagents, with the system operating as a positive pressure HEPA filtered

system to provide an ISO Class 5 clean air blanket around the sample preparation area. The PCR Still Air Bubble on the other hand was made with contamination in mind, allowing users to handle samples and reagents without affecting the inner environment. The best thing about the Lab Bubble is that it can be made bespoke in accordance with our client needs. We also provide pre-tested and pre-validated documentation for each individual system with every purchase.”

The Lab Bubbles are seeing success across the world, with new business emerging in Thailand and Vietnam. CTS have seen considerable success over the past 12 months in particular, with Sean stating, “Year upon year we are experiencing over 15% growth, and that is no different for 2017 to 2018. The majority of our sales come from the UK and Ireland, Germany and France, with our presence in America growing sale by sale too. Forecast wise, we are consistently hitting all of our targets and hence have been able to invest much more into the company. In order to keep up with our skyrocketing demands and improve our lead times, we are currently in the process of setting up another facility in Portsmouth, with the new factory being 9,000ft2, and set to open in 2019.”

In order to connect with the industry at large and showcase their unique systems, CTS attend a number of tradeshows throughout the year. They recently attended Analytica in April and are set to attend the upcoming Lab Innovations Expo in November at the NEC. If you would like to find out more about CTS, be sure to get in contact using the information below, or head over to websites below for more information.

Servo-electric FLEXflow hot runner systemsThe production of a lightweight

centre armrest for the automotive interior is one of the latest examples of the use of the innovative FLEXflow technology from Italian hot runner specialist, HRSflow. The multi-step process combines the thermoforming of a composite sheet with the injection moulding of two different thermoplastics. Development partners in the successful implementation of the project included injection moulding machine manufacturer, KraussMaffei, as well as US mould manufacturer, Proper Tooling.

The load-bearing structure of the centre armrest was created with the aid

of the FiberForm process developed by KraussMaffei in which a thin-wall, fibre-reinforced composite sheet is heated, inserted into the mould and thermoformed. The two subsequent injection moulding processes are carried out according to the principle of the swivel-platen technique simultaneously

in two opposite parts of the same mould. In one step, the carrier is first encapsulated with polypropylene (PP).

This results in the near-final geometry of the part, including the elements needed for subsequent assembly. This PP structure is then overmoulded with a thermoplastic elastomer (TPV) in the opposite section of the mould. This produces the flexible visible surface with the fine grain that is later responsible for the high optical and tactile quality of the centre armrest.

Here at Industrial Process News, we are delighted to present CSG with this issue’s Waste Management Company of the Month profile.

The industry leading waste management company operates throughout the UK, from 27 waste treatment and transport facilities, offering everything from household sewage services to industrial and commercial waste disposal. With a 500 strong staff base, it offers bespoke waste collection, treatment, recovery and disposal services.

The company is strongly motivated by the goal of diverting waste from landfill, recovering and recycling as much as possible from the waste streams that they handle.

CSG was first established in 1934 by Edgar ‘Bunny’ Hart, who set up the company to offer sewage waste services. Located in Southampton, the family run business quickly made a name for itself for delivering efficient, professional and thorough service. Today, the company is led by Edgar’s daughter, Heather, the Chairman of CSG.

We spoke to Managing Director, Neil Richards about what the company provides, to which he explained, “The prompt collection and treatment of waste is part of what helps keep the world running. Our expert team can collect and process waste so that facilities stay operational 24/7, 365 days of the year.

“Part of what makes us unique is our diverse range of services, covering everything from interceptor cleaning to effluent treatment, aluminium recycling, tank cleaning, precious metal recovery, chemical spill response and much more.

“We are the UK’s second largest privately-owned waste management company. Our in-house transportation network enables us to collect a huge range of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams from most UK locations, whilst our treatment and recovery centres utilise bespoke technology to treat, recover and recycle the waste that we collect.”

Given that almost all industries produce waste of some sort, there is no shortage of companies or sectors that know the CSG name, with more than 1,000 customers, including internationally recognised names, supermarket chains, SMEs, small electroplating companies and many more.

The need for a reliable and low-cost waste disposal service is growing increasingly more important due to strict legislation and the squeeze on costs within the UK manufacturing industry. For many sectors, it has proven more cost-effective to outsource disposal to companies like CSG.

Specialist industrial services offered include hazardous waste management, providing advice, removal, transportation and treatment of dangerous substances.

Oily waste collection and treatment, particularly problematic for companies, is another highly sought-after service. CSG’s nationwide fleet of specialist waste management vehicles can collect oil in either bulk form or in individual drums, IBCs or containers and the company can handle all kinds of oils including automotive oil, brake fluid, diesel, hydraulic oil, solvents, soluble oil and transformer oil.

The fact that the company carries both transportation and treatment means customers only need to deal with one supplier, making the process of their waste disposal simpler and more efficient.

Neil added, “We have a strong focus on waste treatment and recovery, aiming to minimise the waste going to landfill or incineration and recovering valuable raw materials. Our customers have the peace of mind that, when we collect their waste, we manage the process end-to-end, from transportation and treatment through to final disposal, with the protection of the environment in mind.

“Most recently, we have extended our services to include waste from electroplating

processes – a huge challenge in the industry right now, considering the boom in electronic product manufacturing. Electroplating waste can be handled chemically, mechanically or through thermal recycling and we offer bespoke treatment, dependent on our clients’ needs.”

CSG also has an extensive after-sales support, with low cost repair and maintenance services, as well as a highly dependable 24 Hour Emergency Cover. If, for example, a sewage treatment plant or interceptor fails, CSG’s expert technicians can identify the cause of the problem and provide a solution, such as a repair or even the installation of a new system.

The company’s growth strategy has seen it double in size since 2010 thanks, in part, to 15 successful acquisitions. In 2015, the company acquired the North Wales based Willacy Oil, a provider of petrochemical tank cleaning, oily sludge treatment and recovery systems. Still operating under its own name, Willacy Oil has been able to significantly develop CSG’s own oil waste operations.

The company recently invested in the oily water waste treatment plant at its flagship hazardous waste treatment facility in Cadishead, separating oil and water and recovering the oil to then be treated and converted into fuel oil. Due to

improved practices, CSG is proud to say it can now recover around five million litres of oil a year.

We asked Neil what else we can expect from the company. “Right now, we are planning our business strategy for 2020-2025. In this period, we hope to further fuel our rapid growth and innovation, and offer more bespoke services, more diversity and increase profitability. Our new plan will reflect our philosophy and principles more than ever, putting the people at the centre of everything we do.

“For example, right now we are working on a new line of robotic systems for tank cleaning. Tank cleaning can be quite difficult and dangerous as it requires personnel to get inside the tank, surrounded by waste, and clean it from the inside. Our new systems, remotely controlled by an operator, will get inside the tank so that people don’t have to.”

If you would like to find out more about CSG’s outstanding services, then don’t hesitate to get in contact today using the number provided below. Alternatively, for more information, please feel free to check out the website.

When a global

engineering firm’s factory boiler system started to leak and become costly to run and maintain, it enrolled the expertise of Independent Heating & Cooling (IHC), based in East Sussex, to address the issue within an eight-week window.

This Eastbourne building is split into eight zones of offices and manufacturing areas which have varying demands throughout the day. IHC recommended five Evomax 150 kW Boilers (totalling 750kW) mounted on a bespoke frame and header kit from the Ideal Commercial boiler range. The IHC/Ideal Boilers relationship has recently been celebrated in Ideal Commercial’s new ‘Industry Trusted’ multi-channel campaign which highlights the importance

of genuine relationships within the commercial heating industry.

IHC also installed The Co2Vert, an IHC developed, web-based controls system, which allows the building manager to control the heating system, zone by zone remotely. By integrating this with a highly efficient, modulated system (5:1 turndown as heat demands are reduced) it gives the business more flexibility and ability to realise significant energy savings.

From floor scrubber to directorA TCFM

employee has progressed from a Floor Sweeper to a Contract Director – Jeff Lloyd-Jones (pictured) shares his experience.

“In the mid-1990s, I was studying at college doing a course in computer science. To earn some extra money, I started working for TC Contractors, as we were known then. I worked on a temporary, part-time basis where my main duty was operating the floor scrubber at a store near Merthyr Tydfil.

“After completing my IT course, I started working full-time for a medical supplies company in an IT role. I did this job alongside my cleaning operative role. My manager at the time at TC Contractors told me that he had ‘seen something in me that inspired him’. During this time, I was particularly struck by the family feel to the company.

“I took the decision to come and

work for TC Contractors full-time as an In-Store Manager after meeting Trevor Cripps, the founder, and his son Simon in the late 1990s. Not only was the money better but the hours with early morning work was more appealing than having to cover the IT job over 24 hours.

“Having started as an In-Store Manager I have had a number of varied and interesting roles including: area manager; project manager; regional manager; divisional controller and as contract director I am now responsible for the complete Tesco Retail account across the UK.”

Master Abrasives installs eco 200 at Border BallisticsFollowing

the sale at MACH 2018, Master Abrasives has installed the Micromatic eco 200 grinding machine in Border Ballistics Technologies (BBT) facilities based in Scotland.

Paul Batson, Master Abrasives Managing Director, comments, “Geoffrey from BBT was one of the hundreds of visitors we welcomed onto our stand to view the eco 200 grinding machine. We were using the MACH show as a platform for the full range of machinery and grinding products we now offer, and making this sale was one of the highlights for us.”

Geoffrey Kolbe, Managing Director of BBT, has been in the non-military gun trade for over 25 years and established the company in 2015 to fill a gap in the UK market. The company is a manufacturer of high performance gunsmith tooling such as chamber reamers, headspace gauges and other specialist tooling for gunsmiths, all of which are produced to the high standards required with superior quality finishes and high accuracy.

Geoffrey explained, “In line with market demand, we needed to increase our production output. To overcome this issue we established that by utilising our tool and cutter grinder more intelligently we could maximise output. We identified that taking the basic blank preparation operations off this sophisticated production machine, productivity would increase with the introduction of a manual/semi-automatic hydraulic cylindrical grinding machine. The Micromatic ECO 200 machine supplied by Master Abrasives proved to be the ideal machine for this purpose and the price was very reasonable too.”

Award winning bakery and Cornish pasty producer, Prima Bakeries has increased its frozen capacity through

acquisition of a portable cold store from Blue Cube Portable Cold Stores.

The bakery, based at Redruth in the heart of Cornwall took delivery of the cold store in June following a requirement for additional frozen capacity. Using a portable cold store meant capacity could be increased quickly and within budget.

Prima Bakeries has been baking delicious Cornish Pasties, bread, cake, confectionery and savoury products in the heart of Cornwall for over thirty years. The bakery has a retail range for shops and convenience stores and a foodservice range for cafes, hotels and restaurants. The bakery is also well known for its ‘Pasties by Post’ service, delivering direct to consumers.

Blue Cube – one of the UK’s leading providers of rental temperature controlled storage solutions for the food and logistics industries – has supplied Prima Bakeries with the largest unit from the portable range, giving the site an additional frozen capacity of 37 pallets to cope with 20% growth.

Blue Cube worked closely with Mark Norton, Managing Director of Prima Bakeries to find the best possible solution for the site. From the initial enquiry in November 2017 right through to delivery in June 2018, all options were considered to ensure we supplied the right product. Although Blue Cube’s core business is rental, a unit was sold from the fleet to support the customer’s requirements.

It was a challenging site due to ground levels so Blue Cube offered a full package deal including provision for groundwork’s and levelling as part of the sale.

To ensure the unit was future proofed, Blue Cube went one step further and replaced the refrigerant from R404A to R452A. R452A has a GWP of 2140 – a little over half that of R404A.

Mark Norton, Managing Director, said, “Blue Cube has delivered consistently good service, right from the start of this process through to procurement of equipment, delivery and aftercare.

“To ensure Prima Bakeries kept in line with ever changing F-Gas regulations it was important that we considered the GWP impact of the cold store. Blue Cube was on hand to

offer advice and replaced the refrigerant which will keep us compliant for years to come.”

Blue Cube’s portable cold stores are available in 14, 22, 31 and 37 pallet capacities. The units have an operating temperature range from -26°C to +26°C permitting frozen, chilled and ambient storage applications. They can be ground-based or elevated to a loading dock.

The latest generation refrigeration systems ensure greater efficiencies and lower operating costs for customers. Plus LED lighting provides up to 300 lux of light meeting the standard required for loading and unloading.

For product information or details on hiring Blue Cube’s temperature controlled units, please telephone: 0333 320 2620.

Highlights from Spring 2018After another

incredibly successful event at the National Motorcycle Museum in May, FAST Live is the only dedicated fastening, bonding and assembly exhibition for design engineers, production professionals, manufacturers and buyers and has become the best place to see and discuss all the latest fastening and bonding products, processes and practices with leading experts.

As well as the many stands, manned by specialists willing and ready to discuss their latest products and how they could help solve specific design challenges, the seminar sessions are a great way to get more in-depth information. This year’s line-up was no different.

With an increasing number of structural adhesives on the market, choosing the right one can be a headache. Peter Swanson, Managing Director of Intertronics, was there to clarify the matter in his seminar.

The use of adhesives to provide a structural bond instead of mechanical fasteners can provide advantages, including performance and reliability improvements, and reduction in manufacturing costs. However,

Swanson began, “There is no such thing as a perfect adhesive. Inevitably, compromises are going to be made.”

Starting with design and working through production and processing considerations, he discussed the various factors which influence the decisions of engineers, and how to develop a specification based on the necessary priorities and allowable compromises.

FAST Live will next be held at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford on 20 September 2018, co-located with Engineering Materials Live.

Cautious welcome for new Customs Declaration Service from UKWAThe United Kingdom Warehousing

Association (UKWA) has greeted the HMRC’s planned new Customs Declaration Service with a cautious welcome. According to UKWA’s CEO, Peter Ward, the impact of Brexit on customs regulations is of huge concern to members and is high on the association’s agenda.

“There is considerable confusion among import/export businesses as to what lies ahead,” he said. “We welcome the introduction of the new CDS to replace the CHIEF (Customs Handling of Import & Export Freight) system, which is desperately outdated and already creaking at the seams, but we need reassurances from the government that the new system will cope with the estimated 200 million

extra customs entries that will result from Brexit. It is imperative that we know when and how it will be launched. Arguably, this single most important issue will affect all our lives – it is critical, not just for businesses, but for everyone who depends on the seamless flow of goods into and out of our country, that we get this right.”

Ward challenged the ‘frictionless,

uninterrupted trade’ vaunted by the Prime Minister, insisting that the necessary recording of data and collecting of duties and taxes relating to all UK import/export movements post-Brexit will make a smooth transition impossible.

Importers and exporters will be expected to sign into CDS through a Government Gateway account and will be provided with self-service tools, guides and checklists. Some additional information will be required by CDS for declarations to align with the World Customs Organisation Kyoto Convention, currently being implemented in the UK through the Union Customs Code (UCC).

Unattended production for RutlandRutland Plastics is a private company

based in Oakham Rutland with a 66,000ft2 factory and a turnover in excess of £10 million, operating moulding machines ranging from 150 tonne to 1,700 tonne. Looking to achieve unattended production on a Krauss Maffei KM150, Rutland Plastics selected UPM Conveyors to provide a turnkey solution requiring 8 belt conveyors to allow automatic product divert for QC inspection; ferrous/non-ferrous metal detection; product cooling; parts separation and box filling with a capacity of 8 full; 8 empty and 1 filling.

Product divert is achieved with a small reversing conveyor located onto a swan neck conveyor in the well of the machine and at any stage in production an operator can energise to reverse and transfer a shot to

an integral sample drawer for QC inspection.

Metal detection is based on UPM inserting a search coil under the inclined section of the Swan Neck in the well of the machine and on detecting a foreign body will energise an audible/visual alarm and stop the belt conveyor so an operator can check and remove the contamination.

This does not affect the moulding machine cycle as product continues to be produced and accumulated on the conveyor until the operator has reset to start again.

Rutland expressed its total satisfaction with the UPM project team who installed and commissioned the system which is operating 24/7 trouble free.

Are you looking for a coolant mist collector? The Mistresa is available at a similar price to other units, so

why compromise when you can fit Japan’s No 1 coolant mist collector?

Used by virtually all Japanese machine tool manufacturers, the Mistresa was designed and made in Japan by Showa Denki right down to the last nut and bolt, including their own 3-phase industrial grade electric motors.

Each unit is produced by one person, performing the processing, assembly, inspection and packaging, with total

accountability, pride in workmanship and focussed on customer satisfaction.

Coolant mist created by the rotating chuck or cutting tools on your machine is not just a nuisance but a considerable health hazard if breathed in by the operator.

Fitting a mist extractor removes the hazard and ensures you comply with Health & Safety Regulations. There are two styles available to give you flexibility with mounting, while many machines already have a hole for a vertical extractor.

The Mistresa is extremely efficient, removing 99.8% of the smallest mist particles and virtually all of the larger ones. Twin filter elements, the front one, doing most of the work is washable in normal soapy water and then reused. No special tools required for filter element removal and replacement. Each unit is smooth, quiet, vibration free and runs for a long, long time. Some are still in service after nearly 20 years. Larger sizes are available.

How can you optimise your production using data? The sensory tool holder spike® enables an easy

visualisation of the current process standards and enables the expert and the operator to detect issues during processes and helps him to find the correct parameters to optimise the machining processes. The result is a focused, efficient, and documented optimisation. The profit is time saving. And time is money.

■ What is spike®_polar? – Spike®_polar doesn’t only show the forces that affect the tool, but can also determine the direction of action with the X- and Y-coordinates. In this way the condition of each cutting edge can be precisely defined.

■ The Use – Identify loss of component quality due to high wear or a broken cutting edge – Change tools before it comes to a tool breakage. Let the forces that affect the tool decide when to change the tool!

■ So how does spike® work? – It only takes a few minutes to change out a standard tool holder for the spike® diagnostic tool holder to begin measuring forces applied to the workpiece during machining.

The complete spike® system packs up conveniently in its mobile case, allowing it to be easily moved from machine to machine to diagnose any process problems, increase tool life or increase productivity in milling, drilling, reaming, or grinding operations. Many tool manufacturers use spike® to support tool development. Pro-micron offers spike® for different machine interfaces including HSK, Cat, SK, BT or

adapter configurations with clamping systems ranging from collet chuck, high precision mill chuck, weldon, powRgrip, or hydraulic chucks. Once processes are optimised, the user replaces the spike® holder with the standard tool holder, which can now run in improved conditions.

For critical processes, spike® is also available as a long term monitoring solution equipped with a machine interface.

For food producers, the biggest priority is always the health and safety. High standards of hygiene and sanitation

are imperative at every stage of production, from the sourcing of ingredients, to the time the finished product reaches the consumer. We have identified five key areas of food packaging hygiene which could significantly lower the risk of contamination in your food packaging process.

1) Fit downstream oil filters and check them regularly Downstream filters act as another safeguard against accidental food contamination whilst, blocked filters have the potential to fail and allow carryover of oil into the process.

2) Carry out regular and timely maintenance Regular preventative maintenance is your best option to avoid potential contamination. Poor maintenance practices or minor equipment faults can risk oil discharging from the exhaust. This presents a big problem for sites where air quality can’t be compromised. Whereas, correct and regular maintenance not only ensures optimally running pumps that have little or no oil carryover, but increases pump efficiency and pump life expectancy.

3) Use food grade lubricantEven with a high level of carefulness and due diligence, the transfer of trace amounts of lubricant to a food contact surface, food packaging or the food itself can happen, regardless of procedures. Food grade or incidental contact lubricants are specifically designed to meet strict regulatory limitations.

4) Always use genuine parts Genuine parts will dramatically reduce the potential of equipment failure, ensuring a longer, low-risk operational life than if non-genuine parts are used.

5) Go Oil-FreeOil-free vacuum pumps have been specifically developed to meet the needs of manufacturers requiring only the highest air purity standards. They provide:

■ Low maintenance levels as there is no need to replace oil or filters

■ Reduced lifetime cost of ownership ■ Service in situ with no need to remove

from the line for maintenance dramatically reducing downtime

■ Lower costs from oil, waste oil disposal and associated labour.

Christeyns Food Hygiene launches the ultimate CIP solutionChristeyns Food Hygiene, based in Warrington, has

partnered with H&M Disinfection Systems to launch a new, bespoke containerised CIP system for optimising cleaning equipment in the food and dairy industry.

Container In Place is a bespoke, containerised Cleaning in Place (CIP) system which comes fully loaded and self-contained, ready to be connected directly to existing pipework, tanks and associated equipment, providing an immediate and cost-effective upgrade to cleaning requirements.

In many plants CIP equipment can be old and those responsible

for its specification, installation and setting of parameters may no longer be with the business. In addition, modifications to the CIP set may have taken place over time, changing the original operating parameters or flow dynamics, which can affect the efficacy of a clean. Emerging food safety challenges in recent years, such as allergen management and species control, may have also placed additional burdens on the equipment.

Modernising or replacing a CIP set itself requires capital expenditure which may be difficult to secure. There is also the challenge of being able to assign a sufficient break in a production schedule to actually replace pumps, tanks, heat

exchangers and control equipment.

WASPS take control of GHS!Many in industry find there are two major

issues facing them when dealing with safety in the workplace. Firstly, it is a well-known fact that many find the information on a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) ‘too technical’ to understand. In addition, many are still trying to get to grips with the changes brought about by the introduction of the Globally Harmonised System (GHS) Regulation. As a result, SDS are not read but filed away until accidents occur. Secondly, COSHH is a legal requirement but many in industry are finding it a challenge to keep their COSHH assessments up-to-date with the changes taking place while some simply just don’t have in-house expertise or the time to deal with the complexity of GHS SDS.

Environmental Science Limited (ESL) has addressed these issues by updating its software called ‘GHS WASPS’ (Workplace Action Safety Protection Sheet) which enables users to easily produce a workplace safety hazard sheet from a complex GHS SDS. The WASP Sheet is a one-page graphical representation of hazards in the workplace. It is also possible and easy to create WASPS from product labels and they can be displayed near the workbench in laminated form. Workers whose mother tongue is not English will

find WASPS useful because they are pictorial and also available in other languages. The new GHS software is sold on a subscription basis in order to keep up-to-date with any legal changes.

Sustainability award for water reuse company’s technologyOne of the UK’s leading water re-use companies is

celebrating after the announcement that one of its wastewater systems has been recognised in a top award.

Aquabio’s anaerobic membrane bioreactor system (AnMBR LE™) treats wastewater at the Glenmorangie distillery in Scotland’s Northern Highlands. The plant is part of the Glenmorangie’s DEEP, Dornoch Environmental Enhancement Project which has been awarded the Hydro Nation Award – sponsored by the Scottish Government – at last year’s 18th annual VIBES – Scottish Environment Business Awards.

The anaerobic digestion plant at the Ross-shire distillery was officially opened earlier last summer, boasting the use of natural biological processes which both reduces chemical oxygen demand (COD) output in distillery wastewater by up to 95% & creates energy in the form of methane rich biogas.

Importantly, the biogas replaces some of the fossil fuels used at the distillery to heat the stills in which the spirit is made.

Terry McCarthy, Managing Director of Aquabio explained, “The low energy Anaerobic Membrane Bioreactor Plant – or AnMBR LE – is designed to improve the quality of the

effluent being discharged into the Dornoch Firth and the resulting biogas is reused as fuel in the site boiler system.”

The plant now largely operates automatically and can be remotely monitored on line; this ensures optimum efficiency in both wastewater treatment and power generation.

Delta launches string PV inverter M125HV series at Intersolar 2018Delta, a global leader in power and

thermal management solutions, recently announced it is launching its new 1,500 Vdc string solar PV inverter M125HV series alongside a broad portfolio of energy-saving lithium-ion battery energy storage solutions at Intersolar Europe.

The M125HV is designed to optimise the productivity of solar PV power plants as it features industry-leading peak efficiency up to 99%, 125kVA of

maximum output power, active cooling, and an electromagnetic interference (EMI)-proof design. With extensive expertise in developing high-efficiency power electronics and integrating energy-saving solutions, Delta is uniquely positioned to facilitate solar PV power generation and energy storage projects.

Andreas Hoischen, head solar PV inverter sales for Delta in Europe, the Middle East & Africa (EMEA), said,

“High-power utility-scale string inverters are currently transitioning from 1,000 Vdc to 1,500 Vdc. These new systems allow for longer strings, resulting in fewer combiner boxes, less wiring, less trenching, and significant balance of system cost savings. Our new M125HV series inverters for 1,500 Vdc systems, for instance, can reduce levelised cost of electricity by enabling higher-voltage arrays. That’s a huge advantage for solar developers, EPC contractors, and of course investors.”

Storage systems for residential and commercial photovoltaic installations were another trend reflected in Delta’s product portfolio on display at Intersolar Europe 2018. The company’s ES30 and Hybrid E5, for instance, lower costs for residential and commercial operators by increasing the amount of solar power a facility or residence can consume itself instead of feeding it into the grid.

Delta reveals Cloud data centre infrastructure solutions at CEBIT 2018Delta, a global leader in power and thermal management

solutions, recently demonstrated its Datacentre Infrastructure Solutions for Cloud and edge data centres on display at the world´s leading digital innovation tradeshow, CEBIT 2018, to serve as the very foundation of the digital economy – the focus of CEBIT 2018. The modular DPH series and the monoblock DPS series UPSs, respectively with 500kVA and 600kVA capacity each, satisfy the high power

needs of Cloud data centres while the brand-new RT series UPSs offer flexible configurations of 10-20 kVA for edge data centres. The new Li-ion Battery Solution for UPS systems, which boasts leading energy storage footprint with up 51.8kWh in a 19” cabinet, is an ideal solution to substantially reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) in data centres.

“As the IoT megatrend continues to expand rapidly, we’re seeing a lot of data centre resources moving to the edge. With billions of devices generating vast amounts of data that has to be stored and processed, it is impossible

for centralised data centres to accommodate all the traffic. A global leader in colocation services in the Asia Pacific region, for instance, recently selected our power container solutions for their edge network,” said Jackie Chang, Delta’s

President & General Manager for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

Delta’s total data centre infrastructure design concept provides an efficient and reliable backbone for digitisation as the overall market shifted to fewer but larger data centres. However, as IoT drives data centres to the edge, they need to become more adaptable, scalable, and flexible. The two trends that are defining the data centre infrastructure market right now – small, decentralised edge computing data centres and the increasing size of large centralised data centres – were both reflected in Delta’s product portfolio on display at this year’s CEBIT.

Engcon, the world’s largest manufacturer of tiltrotators, will be

offering its EC-Oil automatic hydraulic attachment system as a standard fitting on its twin-hitch products.

This means that when you want to disconnect the tiltrotator – for example to use a breaker; dig narrow, deep trenches or shift large volumes of earth the EC-Oil option allows you to do so automatically. You don’t need to get out of the cab to tackle tricky electrical connectors and hoses. What’s more the system is now available at no extra charge.

Engcon is the only tiltrotator manufacturer in the world to offer an automatic hydraulic system as standard.

“Hydraulic attachments and twin-hitch tiltrotator configurations are increasingly popular in the excavator market, so for us it was a logical step to put the two together as a standard product. It’s an innovative step for Engcon, and a great leap for the excavation industry,” says Stig Engström, Engcon’s founder and owner.

From May 2018, Engcon will deliver the Q-Safe 60 machine hitch, fitted with the company’s EC-Oil fully automatic hydraulic coupling when ordered in conjunction with the DC2 control system, as standard. This also applies to the company’s tiltrotator/DC2 control system top brackets, allowing the connection and disconnection

of hydraulic, electrical and central lubrication between the two.

ACE introduces new online gas spring calculation program

In just five easy steps, design engineers can now calculate and design a gas spring tailored to their

application using the new gas spring calculation tool found on the www.acecontrols.co.uk website.

In the past, it was necessary to contact the ACE gas spring team directly and complete a design form sent back and forth by fax or e-mail when enquiring about the selection and availability of a suitable ACE gas spring. Thanks to this new online calculation program, design is now easier, faster and can be made at any time – 24/7.

Unique in the industry, the program is completely intuitive and applications can be visualized in either 2D or 3D. The most common applications of push type gas springs on hoods, flaps, hatches and machine housings can now be calculated in a few simple steps.

The recommended ACE gas spring and the required mounting accessories are specified precisely. In addition, an installation sketch can be generated with the help of the online tool.

In the interest of its customers, ACE uses this service to shorten the entire process from design and ordering to delivery. In the current version of the software the order is still triggered by an online inquiry; it is planned in the future, that the gas springs determined by online calculation will be available directly from an ACE e-shop.

For customers who would still like help with their product selection then personal advice and assistance in the calculation and ordering of ACE gas springs is always available.

James White of Denis Rawlins Ltd outlines a safer and less disruptive approach to high-level cleaning.

Maintaining cleanliness is a challenge in an industrial environment – all the more so if cleaning interferes with

the smooth running of production processes.

High-level cleaning adds another level of difficulty – in terms of disruption on the ground, safety when working at height, and cost. Inside or out, the task usually entails access platforms, scaffolding and/or specialist contractors.

But cleaning at height does not have to be disruptive, high-risk or comparatively high-cost.

In a safety-first setting, the best way to manage risk is not to put people in harm’s way in the first place. Working from ground level, it is now perfectly practicable for any cleaning team to tackle high-level areas and keep surfaces demonstrably clean.

The latest super-lightweight carbon fibre poles are easy to handle and manoeuvre yet incredibly strong. Coupled with a standard vacuum unit, this can enable any operative to clean interior areas up to 11 metres from ground level, or 15 metres outdoors.

But this British system, called SpaceVac, has additional refinements that make it particularly suitable for an industrial environment.

Vacuuming is as effective as at floor level, as there is no loss of suction. Also, an in-built wireless camera allows the user to check the progress of cleaning on live, high-quality video – or recorded for viewing by the supervisor or client.

SpaceVac comes with a variety of tools and cleaning heads, which are manufactured in one piece from 100% carbon fibre for maximum strength and minimum weight.

Another innovation – the SAFER (Safe And Fast Easy Release) locking mechanism – ensures the components of SpaceVac’s internal cleaning system cannot separate during operation, even at full extension.

Compliant with Health & Safety Executive guidance, SpaceVac is also safer in industrial environments where there

is a risk of combustion. The range includes the world’s only ATEX certified high-level cleaning system certified as safe for use in explosive atmospheres and hazardous environments.

All of this means that high-level cleaning can become routine, and more cost-effective. SpaceVac puts proven technologies in the hands of in-house cleaning teams and general contractors so they can raise their own output, without impacting others.

Making low flow more efficientCombining the proven technologies

of Sundyne Barske Wheel hydraulics with the HMD Kontro sealless magnetic drive, the GSPLF (LF for Low Flow) sealless pump has been developed to fill a gap in the market for a high-efficiency low flow magnetic drive centrifugal pump with a single stage high head capability. The GSPLF meets the requirements of API 685 and has full ATEX compliance, making it ideal for chemical and hydrocarbon processing applications.

Sundyne has over 50 years of experience in offering Barske Wheel pumps, designed to provide efficiency in the low specific speed regime often referred to as low flow, high head applications. These pumps have an open impeller with straight blades and a tapered conical diffuser to produce the desired performance. Development and testing demonstrates that this

combination produces a head factor (ratio of developed head to theoretical head) considerably higher than that of traditional back-swept Francis vane impellers.

The combination of Sundyne Barske Wheel hydraulics with the HMD sealless magnetic drive, reliability, design flexibility, and efficiency is further

optimised, ensuring trouble-free, safe and environmentally conscious plant operation. An additional advantage of the GSPLF is the flexibility inherent in the diffuser and impeller combination, which can easily be rerated should the duty point change without replacing the pressure casing.

HMD Kontro has more than 25 years’ experience in API applications and a 70 year track record in magnetic drive technology, being the first company to develop a magnetic drive sealless pump.

Further information, including a copy of the GSPLF brochure, can be seen and downloaded from the Sundyne HMD website at: www.sundyne.com/hmdkontro or alternatively, please telephone: +44 (0)1323 452141 or email: [email protected]

Driven by a passion for F1, with the fast-paced use of 3D printing and how to apply it to create high value end products fast, FDM Digital now has the aerospace sector firmly in its sights, knowing the potential savings in this sector alone is well into the 100’s of millions of pounds over the life of an aircraft with end applications such as low volume thin wall ducts, brackets, and paint finished final parts to name a few.

Overall, FDM offer a vast array of matchless benefits that their competitors do not. These benefits consist of: Specialist knowledge in Formula 1 applications such as soluble core technology, time served manufacturing & engineering experience across a range of industry sectors, digital laser scanning used for reverse engineering or inspection, and also the partner of choice to work alongside developing industry quality systems that allow seamless integration of Additive Manufactured parts into their organisations.

Breathe clean with BenchVentHere at Industrial Process News, we are

extremely pleased to announce that BenchVent has been awarded with our

highly commendable Air Filtration Company of the Month profile as a result of their outstanding ventilation technology.

BenchVent was first set up in North Yorkshire, 1986, by Doug Taylor. Despite being a small family business, they have managed to grow to become one of the world’s leading suppliers of specialist air filtration cabinets and related solutions. We spoke to Managing Director, Michael O’Hara, about how the company has progressed since its beginnings and where the future may take them.

“BenchVent initially started out as GraphicAir Systems, specialising in filtration and fume extraction. Having proven so successful across the UK, we decided to set our sights higher and expand further afield into global territories, expanding our footprint across the world and cementing ourselves as one of the premier leaders in worldwide ventilation and extraction. Today we can be found in the UK, Europe, Australia, America and even China.”

As health and safety legislation is becoming tighter and tighter across the world, more and more companies are looking to strengthen their health and safety within the workplace, with toxic gases, fumes, solvents and powders being

a cause for concern. Without proper extraction, toxic fumes can build up within spaces, leading to serious long-term health complications such as emphysema and other illnesses. As a result, air filtration is of prime importance, clearing away fumes and hence producing a cleaner working, learning and living environment. BenchVent’s wide range of cabinets and cupboards can be seen in use in research and development, the pharmaceutical industry, electronics, beauty, dentistry, and throughout schools and universities.

Michael added, “In addition to manufacturing and supplying our own cabinets, we are able

to distribute air filtration products from other manufacturers as well, creating a diverse product range that can cater to multiple industries. Better yet, we can also create bespoke units depending on clients’ specific requirements. This allows us to provide a one stop shop service that clients can rely on for all their extraction needs.”

From fume extraction units for gas, dust, soldering and lasering, to fume cupboards, fume hoods and portable spray booths, BenchVent have a clean air solution for almost anything.

One of their most sought after products includes the highly versatile BV-T1 High Vacuum Solder Extraction Unit, which filters fumes and can be used for laser soldering, PCB drilling, glueing, tinning, brazing and much more.

BenchVent’s downdraught workbenches are another example of their ventilation excellence, capable of providing dust and fume extraction in one self-contained and compact unit. With these, users can get on with their work while any fumes are quickly and efficiently filtered away below them, ensuring a cleaner breathing space.

As a family business, BenchVent has managed to retain a high level of customer service, being small enough to care but large enough to act as a global supplier. In addition to customer service, they also prioritise innovation and staying at the forefront of the fast-paced world of technology and manufacturing. In order to increase their market share, BenchVent currently have big plans to push their presence throughout America and China, securing a wider client base and growing the name of the company on an ever larger scale.

If you would like to contact with Benchvent’s expert outstanding team, don’t hesitate to get in touch today. Alternatively, you can always find out more information by checking out the website detailed below.

Here at Industrial Process News, we are extremely delighted to announce that Innovec Controls have been chosen to

receive our prestigious Process Control & LED Safety Solutions Company of the Year award. This is in light of their excellent and on-going design and manufacturing services for a wide range of different sectors.

Innovec Controls was first established in 1987 by CEO and Business Owner Rob Newman. Based in Australia, the family run company was set up in Sydney so as to provide process control instrumentation and LED lighting for public transport, such as trains and trams, as well as the larger oil and chemical industry. Today, they are renowned as one of the world’s leading specialists in designing and manufacturing, and their solutions can be seen in use from Asia to Australia, Scandinavia, North America and much more. Innovec Controls also opened up a UK office in Liverpool in 2016, as an offshoot of the company. They have worked with all manner of companies, including the likes of Oil Processors such as Shell, Exxon, BP, as well as wholesale distributors.

Their many products include Additive Injection Controllers, Flow Measurement and Batch Controllers, Dual Marker Lights, Process Indicators, Totalisers, Alarm Systems, Calibrators and Various Automotive Instruments. We asked Rob what set their products apart from the competition, to which he explained, “We bring a green alternative to our products. For instance, our energy efficient, low maintenance LED Safety Lighting products offer both high reliability and long lamp lifecycle, and they are used extensively on Metro Rail, Metro Tram and Freight Rolling Stock Locomotive applications. These products tend to last for at least ten years and are highly sought after in the oil, chemical and mining industries.” Committed to using only the latest and most up to date technologies, Innovec Controls’ products are able to achieve much higher efficiencies as well as lower manufacturing costs.

In the past 12 years in particular, Industrial Process News has been impressed by the innovative strides the company has been making, as well as their slew of new projects and high-profile booths at some of the world’s biggest tradeshows. Just a few months ago in April, Innovec Controls attended the Stoc-Expo in Rotterdam. Here,

attendees and peers alike were astounded by the long queue at their stand, brimming with potential clients eager to find out what made Innovec so different from other European Manufacturers.

Not only that, but Innovec Controls have also secured an exciting new distribution agreement with a company in Fareham, meaning they will be able to better supply their wide range of products throughout the UK, as well as Western and Eastern areas of Europe. This is expected to boost sales even more, as well as secure their position in the market and help open up new regions for business.

Innovec Controls are also constantly investing in their products and technologies, including their key products such as their IAI Additive Injection Controllers. Rob explained, “Our self-contained measurement and control systems have been specially designed for users to easily inject additives into their fuel, helping to improve the burning efficiency of the fuel and leading to significant cost savings. At the terminal, where additives are blended or mixed into the primary fuel, the system ensures that only the correct amount of additive is applied. The system can also be programmed to automatically inject the additive straight into the tanker.”

The IAI additive injection controller has a number of features built in for ease of use, including a 64 x 128 bit Mono Graphics LCD display and an M0 32 bit ARM processor and the ability to be controlled by RS485 communication. The instrument accepts one wild flow input, six additive flows, can control 6 pumps, drive six solenoids and has 6 permissive inputs Prioritising safety above all else, Innovec Control house all injection controller systems within IECEX or ATEX-approved explosion proof housing, plus IP65 weatherproof plastic enclosures.

Explosion proof batching systems are another area of expertise for Innovec Controls. One of their most popular, known as the IBLEXD Explosion Proof Batcher, works as a stand alone controller and features a 64 x 128 mono graphics LCD display and integrated RGB LED backlight. Easily configurable, it has a number of front touch buttons, infra-red hand held programmer and

can operate batch volumes from 0.001 to 999,999 litres, either in local or remote mode. It has proven highly popular in a range of different applications,

including water treatment, dosing, food ingredient batching and aerosol bottling. Not only that, but it also features a Low Flow Alarm, which becomes active and cancels the batch when no

input pulses are detected.

Having only been operating in the UK for eighteen months,

Innovec Controls’ products are already gaining steam. Although the future remains

ever more uncertain, Rob explained his hopes for the company, adding,

“Brexit has presented us with an excellent opportunity. Previously, we had planned to further expand into the United States, however this appeared harder to achieve due to the current political state over there. We then turned our attention to somewhere new, and given the trade opportunities presented by Brexit, decided to plant our footprint across the UK instead. Right now, we have big plans to open up a manufacturing facility in the UK, which will enable us to improve our supply and lead times.”

This September, Innovec Controls will be attending the Sensors and Instrumentation Show at the NEC, Birmingham, where you can find them at stand A6. Here they will display further information on their batch controllers, additive controllers, explosion proof technologies and much more.

If you are seeking bespoke instrumentation and would like to take advantage of Innovec Control’s manufacturing services, then don’t hesitate to get in contact today. Alternatively, you can always find out more information by heading over to the website below, where you can find a full list of products and even case studies highlighting previous work.
