Once again, this year’s Fall Technical Conference will offer training and certification for all levels of HVAC inspection, cleaning and restoration technicians. The conference provides in-depth training that will walk technicians through HVAC cleaning projects from beginning to end. Attendees will review how to take readings to show energy efficiency, AHU restoration, cleaning techniques and more. Fall Technical Conference attendees may select either the Technician Track/VMT Program or the Advanced Track. Each offers a combination of classroom and hands-on training with participants having the opportunity to not only see, but also use tools of the trade in application on an actual

HVAC system mock up with ductwork and additional HVAC system components.

Pre-Conference Training Course *Pre-Registration Required & Additional Fees Apply Pre-conference training course will take place on Thursday, September 14, 2017. Additional information regarding the ASCS & CVI Training Course is located on page 9 of this brochure. Registration for the CVI Training Course and exam will be cancelled if a minimum of 10 attendees do not register for this event by August 1, 2017. In the case of cancellation, registration fees paid for the CVI Training Course and exam will be fully refunded.

C-DET Review Session & Exam *Pre-Registration Required & Additional Fees Apply NADCA is pleased to partner with CSIA to offer the C-DET review session and C-DET exam at the NADCA 2017 Fall Technical Conference. This is an opportunity for certification candidates to undertake a final review of the CSIA Certified Dryer Exhaust Technician Study Manual before the exam is administered. Candidates who pass the exam are listed on the free zip-code finder at CSIA.org. *Note: C-DET review session and exam will be hosted at the NADCA Fall Technical Conference but managed by the Chimney Safety Institute of America. NADCA Certification Examinations *Pre-Registration Required & Additional Fees Apply Candidates for the ASCS & CVI certification exam will have the option to take the exam on either Friday, September 15 or Saturday, September 16, 2017. Individuals are required to take and pass a multiple choice exam. The results of the exam will be provided three weeks after the Fall Technical Conference. Certificate of Attendance / Continuing Education Credits (CECs) Certificates of Attendance and six (6) Continuing Education Credits will be provided to attendees of the Fall Technical Conference. For satisfactory completion, participants must have paid the registra-tion fee and attended their chosen sessions in their entirety. Participants not meeting these require-ments will not receive a certificate. Certificates will be provided three weeks after the Fall Technical Conference.

Registration with payment in full must be received in order to qualify for the registration discount. Pre-registration is strongly recommended as it ensures timely processing of your registration and helps avoid lengthy on-site lines.

Room Reservations A discounted group room rate has been secured for NADCA conference attendees at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel.

NADCA urges all meeting attendees to make sleeping room reservations at the official host hotel (the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel). The hotel was contracted to provide the best rate and service as a convenience for meeting attendees. In order to reserve the required meeting space, NADCA has a contractual obligation to fill a specified number of sleeping rooms. NADCA is at risk for defaulting on this obligation if reservations are made at other hotels. Failure to meet the contractual obligation will translate into NADCA paying higher costs (penalties) to the hotel. Should this occur, NADCA will likely be forced to increase registration fees for future meetings.

To obtain ASCS or CVI certification, an individual is required to take and pass a multiple choice exam. The exams are available through several different outlets, including but not limited to NADCA testing centers, the NADCA Annual Meeting & Exposition and the NADCA Fall Technical Conference. Please note that in order to sit for the CVI certification exam, you must hold a current, active ASCS certification.

The National Air Duct Cleaners Association invites you to join over 1,800 technicians who are ASCS’s and CVI’s. Technicians who successfully complete their respective exams will obtain the prestigious ASCS or CVI

The Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) is NADCA’s most popular certification, as it sig-nifies a high level of professionalism in the HVAC cleaning industry. Through certifica-tion, technicians and contractors demonstrate requisite knowledge of HVAC\system clean-ing, NADCA standards, industry regulations, an understanding of basic microbiological contamination, project assessment and more.

The Certified Ventilation Inspector (CVI) certification is sought by NADCA members and HVAC industry contractors who are Interested in demonstrating a higher level of professionalism and knowledge. Individuals with a CVI certification have un-dergone training in performing inspections, in compliance with NADCA's standards and guidelines.
