Job Description

• As a geologist in other for one to carry out water potential investigation of an area, one

needs to do proper feasibility of such area i.e desk-study, field reconnaissance, survey and

assessment of the area to be study.

• An (ABEM Terrameter LS Machine) or an (ABEM Terraloc Pro Machine) is used on the

field to test or investigate for water in the sub-surface and to also read out all data that is

gathered from the ground for further interpretation.

• After thorough investigation and one is sure of water at the survey area, one will have to

choose a proper construction methods. i.e proper specification of well depth correct

drilling rig specification.

• Thereafter the design and construction follow suit i.e ensuring the well is fit for purpose

e.g diameter, depth casing and screen, gravel pack/formation, pump test and water

quality.

• And more also, data-base/record-keeping must be kept.
