Tandy Angel struggles to remember key details about her passionate love affair with the handsome son of a family enemy while tackling two cases including a wrongful homicide charge against her brother and a series of murders occurring on New York's Upper West Side. No one knows for certain how much impact they have on the lives of other people. Oftentimes, we have no clue. Yet we push it just the same. Anax thinks she knows history. Her grueling all-day Examination has just begun, and if she passes, shell be admitted into the Academy-the elite governing institution of her utopian society. But Anax is about to discover that for all her learning, the history shes been taught isnt the whole story. And the Academy isnt what she believes it to be.
