A column is a component of building frame that has duty to bear vertical burden. it is not in partial but the long unit. A short reinforced concrete bear any burden as well as no bending side part on the beam.

The edge of the beam should be given an angkur . The space between the begel along the the beam should be multiflied to the diameter of the smallest concrete in order that the frame of the concrete. To prevent the frame bent, you should set the concrete as close as possible so the scale can be covered the beam properly.
