DescriptionThe suspension clamp is composed of a UV resistant thermoplastic jaw reinforced with two galvanised steel plates.Its unique patented design has been developed to offer a unique hardware fitting covering all articulated suspension configurations on wooden, metal or concrete poles.Its straight grooves and the reversibility of the system allow the clamp to be installed on figure-8 cables with metallic / dielectric messengers at intermediate poles on cables routes with angles up to 20°.
proDuct overviewThe SC39C support clamp is designed to provide an articulated suspension for figure-8 cables with metallic or dielectric messengers from 3 to 9mm at intermediate poles on cable routes with angle < 20° on spans up to 100m.
Features• The SC39C clamp has two grooves to cover all messenger
sizes from 3 to 9 mm (Ø over the outer sheath).
• The screws can be easily and quickly tightened with a 13mm standard 6-point spanner.
• The clamp plastic inserts act as a fuse to limit damage on the cable in case of abnormal vertical overload (tree, car crash ...).
• The nylon parts provide a 4 kV dielectric insulation between the cable messenger and the pole / clamp.
• The straight grooves allow the suspension of stiff figure-8 cables with FRP messengers.
• The central hole allows an installation on hooks to provide some flexible suspension point and give extra protection to the cable against wind induced vibrations.

installation proceDure1. Secure pole brackets or hook bolts at all intermediate poles with angle < 20°. The brackets and/or hook
bolts should be positioned on the pole perpendicularly to the cable route.2. Install temporary running out rollers just above the bracket / hook bolt.3. Dead-end the cable at the first end pole.4. Run the cable on the rollers to the last end pole and
tension the cable to its full installation load using a come-along clamp, a winch and a dynamometer.
4. Get back to the next intermediate pole and install the suspension clamp SC39C so that the selected groove is situated below.
5. Remove the cable from the roller and position the messenger in the groove. Hold the messenger in place with one hand and tighten the 2 nuts with a 13mm 6-point spanner with the other hand.
6. Repeat this last operation on the other intermediate poles.

On a hOOk bOltThe clamp can also be installed on a 14mm or 16mm hook bolt on drilled wood poles. The length of the hook bolt depends on the pole diameter.Different sizes of hook bolts are available at Telenco.
On bracket + a hOOk bOltThe clamp can be installed on wood poles, round concrete poles and polygonal metallic poles using a universal pole bracket UPB or a suspension bracket CS, a hook bolt BQC12x55 and 2 pole bands 20x0.4mm or 20x0.7mm

Its unique patented design has been developed to offer a
common hardware fitting covering all suspension situations
on wooden, metal or concrete poles.
Its straight grooves and the reversibility of the system allow
the clamp to be installed on figure-8 cables with metallic /
FRP messengers at intermediate poles on cables routes with
angles up to 15°.
Securing
� With a bolt
The clamp can also be installed with one bolt 14x225 mm
or 16x250 mm on drilled wood poles.
� With pole banding
The clamp can be installed on wood poles, round concrete
poles and polygonal metallic poles with a pole banding
fixing kit composed of : 1 pole banding 20mm or 3/4"
SB207 + 1 buckle B20 + 1 plate 30/41 + 1 bolt 1/13.

The clamp can be installed on wood poles, round concrete
poles and polygonal metallic poles with one 20mm or ¾"
pole banding SB204 or SB207 and one buckle B20.
� With a bolt
The clamp can also be installed with one bolt 14x225 mm or
16x250 mm on drilled wood poles.
