The ATLANTIC M-Series Condensing Boiler has a patentedunique fully pre-mix burner with fail-safe ionisation flamesensor. Filtered air is drawn from the boiler room, which thenpasses through a Venturi where it mixes with the natural gassupply before passing through a variable speed centrifugalfan. The air/natural gas mix then passes vertically down acircumferential series of burner tubes where it is ignited to givea circular ‘carpet’ of flame running evenly from top to bottomof the combustion chamber. The air/natural gas volume and,therefore, the heat output can be modulated from 100% downto 25%.

Alongside the vertical burner tubes are a set of smoothaustenitic stainless steel water tubes where circulation of waterfrom the building heating system cools the burner combustionto improve the low NOx performance.

The ATLANTIC M-Series Condensing Boiler has two distinctheat exchangers surrounding the combustion chamber. Bothare manufactured from high grade smoothaustenitic stainless steel tubes surrounded byturbulator sections designed to ensure maximumheat transfer. The hot combustion gases from thevertical burner tubes pass horizontally across thechamber where they transfer high temperatureheat to the first inner circumference of smallertubes as the gases pass through them. The cooledgases then pass through the second outercircumference of larger tubes where the remaining‘dry’ and ‘wet – condensing’ heat is transferred.

FlueARRANGEMENTSThe ATLANTIC M Series boiler flue requirements are economic – oftencutting the material and labour costs when compared to other boilers.As the flue gas exit temperature is always low, the volume of gases isalways greatly reduced throughout the year.

When the comparatively smaller flues are manufactured from highgrade plastics, installations are fitted easily and have up to 20 yearguarantees. Care should be taken when joining multiples of boilersinto one stack to ensure the boiler flue gases are injected togetherrather than interrupting through-put.
