DESCRIPTION AND COMPOSITION

Following in the foot steps of Ezycoat hard

wearing and durable paint systems, these

textured paints have been specifically designed

to not only protect but to provide an extra

dimension to the finish. As a result the Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes has been born.

Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes are a series

of paintable texture finishes that add style and

depth to a plain surface. Not only do they look

great but they will save time and money without

sacrificing quality.

Maintaining the same quality as has been

achieved with the various other Ezycoat Paint

Systems. Ezycoat Australia has been able to

further extend on its already proven track record

to produce a series of texture products which

have been able to bring together the aesthetic

features of troweled on textures with the

simplicity of paint application to produce the

Ezycoat Textured Paint Series. Ezycoat Siena, Fino and Corsa are the result of this

series.

Each product exhibits differing degrees of

texture, thus giving you more choices when

deciding on a finish for your project.

Ezycoat Siena: A Lightly textured finish which

enhances the properties of a render by adding

additional scrub fine texture and pattern to the

surface.

Ezycoat Fino: A more heavily bodied texture

that will produce definition in texture and

pattern, however maintaining a smooth and

refined edge.

Ezycoat Corsa: The heavier bodied texture of

the range produces a heavy gritty texture which

can be likened to that of a coarse bagged

textured finish.

USE

Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes are a range

of specially designed pigmented coating

systems for application over such products as

EzySkim Render, Super 6 and Conventional

Render. These textured paints are also suitable

for application over non-rendered brickwork,

blockwork and various other masonry surfaces.

The final product/s will produce a protective

decorative membrane/s which are durable,

waterproof and highly wear and U.V. resistance.

Their extra thick film forming ability and

properties enable this range of Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes to maintain excellent

transpiration properties.

Prior to application of the Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes on to a surface it is essential

that the surface be free of any contaminants

that may affect the performance of the textured

paint system.

The coating sequence must follow the

application specification sequence in Table 1.

Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes 1st. coat should

be allowed to dry for up to 6 Hrs. prior to

proceeding with the second coat. The finishing

coat will require a minimum of 12 Hrs. to dry in

full. This may vary depending on whether

conditions. It is recommended that the process

of cutting in, be carried out at the same time as

rolling the Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes on

the walls so as to maintain a wet on wet

application. This will reduce the effect of roller

marks on the wall. Always try to apply Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes in shaded areas out of

the direct sun.

For special effects where uniformity of colour is

not desired and a more irregular colouring is

preferred, it is possible to tint the first coat to

approximately half the strength of the second

coat and apply as per the Application

Specification sequence. The method of application and consumption

rates for each of the Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes will differ. A list of this information is

set out in Table 2 – Product Information.

Drying Time: Between 8 to 12 Hours

Note:

Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes should not

be applied at temperatures below 7°C or when

there is the possibility of rain. The durability of

the product in its original confection is

guaranteed for 1 year as long as it is not

exposed to direct sunlight or temperatures

below 4 degrees.

Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes are not

suitable for use in areas prone to water logging,

submersion, continually damp and/or below

ground. Walls were Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes are to be applied must be free

draining. In the case of retaining walls the rear

of the wall must be engineered to prevent any

penetration of moisture or water through the

wall in to the rear of the Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes. Failure to do so will result in

damage to the Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes and is not covered by warranty.

Ezycoat Textured Paint Finishes are to be

applied only by trades persons holding a license

for this trade as recognised by the legislative

building authority for the relevant state to which

the work is being carried out. Misuse of this

product and/or non compliance with technical

specifications will void any warranties whether

verbal or written.
