BROKERAGE EVENT 2020FINAL REPORT

The GSMA MWC series (formally known as

Mobile World Congress) is the world’s

largest exhibition for the mobile industry,

and incorporates a thought-leadership

conference featuring prominent executives

representing global mobile operators,

device manufacturers, technology providers,

vendors, and content owners.

More than 2,400 companies showcased the

latest technology, products and services

across 120,000 net square meters of

exhibition and hospitality space at Fira Gran

Via.

Tech Spirit Barcelona was the initiative that arose

spontaneously after the cancellation of Mobile World

Congress (MWC) and 4YFN. The event was held from

February 23rd to 27th and had more than 5.000 people

registered.

The event was hosted in different venues throughout

the city of Barcelona being la Casa Llotja de Mar its

main venue and epicenter. There were more than 45

activities and 108 events celebrated with 60 national and

international speakers and more than 100 venture

capital investors.

ACCIÓ celebrated the brokerage event which was

planned during MWC2020 at Casa Llotja de Mar within

the framework of the Tech Spirit event.

• The 75,6% of the 386 total participants,

participated in the physical event in La Llotja de

Mar, Barcelona on February 25th & 26th.

• The 76,6% of the 1.085 meetings booked were

held physically.

• The average number of physical meetings per

participant was 5,7.

• We reached 70% of the meetings tables

capacity.

• By April 9th, 2020 we have received feedback

from 88% of the physical meetings. Respondents

say 91 (11%) of the meetings did not take place.

held virtually.

• The average number of virtual meetings per

participant was 2,5

• By April 9th, 2020 we have received feedback

from 55% of the virtual meetings.

Respondents say 108 (43%) of the meetings

did not take place.
