TMG ROADMAP

TMG was estabilshed in 2009 by 3 like-minded indi-viduals. The establishment at the time was in part due to the lack of any cohesiveness in the NZ Health ICT market, with many small companies looking after a ‘part’ of the market, noone was keen to do every-thing. Until now.

The TMG co-founders came from a range of ICT back-grounds including; District Health Boards, Primary Health Organisations and Maori & Pacifi c Organisa-tions. As such, there is was, and still is a wealth of knowledge within the company with regards to how ICT works in the health sector.

The obvious next step to aligning a highly fragmented sector, was to use ‘cloud’ technology. Cloud technol-ogy allowed things to be achieved with both scale of economy and to be delivered in both urban and hard to reach rural centres.

Three years down the track and TMG’s ‘cloud hosting’ model was at full speed! TMG had grown it’s client base exponentially in a very short period of time, this posed a serious risk to both TMGs current and future customer base.

TMG decided to take the most logical next step: increase resources. But not only did TMG increase it’s resources, they reduced overheads and stream-lined core business processes to allow their model to remain cost eff ective and effi cient.

TMG strategically aligned with some equally innova-tive business partners to create more diversity and much greater redundancy . Now your data is on almost all of the time and immune to failure.

A year later, TMG was being constantly faced with a raft of legislation and restrictions around patient privacy and security of data in the ‘cloud’.

This was to be expected, TMG were pushing the boundaries of the current policies and legislations around how patient data was accessed at a National level. Heavy conversations were had over many a Na-tional forum about allow ‘cloud’ companies to deliver health data back to the patients ‘Health custodians’ - the GPs.

So what did TMG do....We went out and decided to reinvent how secure patient data could be accessed. TMG worked with some of the best health ICT minds in the country to develop a ‘Secure Health Bridge’ back to a GP’s PMS system hosted in the datacentre. This was revolu-tionary, as it gave clinicians and administrators a way to securely access patient data via a web-based SSL VPN bridge.

This year we have focused on responding to feedback from our peers and clients - yes that’s right, we listen!Two of the most requested new features or products to in the past 18 months were; cheaper/more reliable phones and telehealth.

TMG did the research and concluded that one was a ‘necessity’ to General Practice, the other was a ‘value add’, and so Internet Phones was born (or VoIP Tele-phony as some know it by).

TMG now have an incredibly robust Internet Phone product that no other provider (coms or ICT) can compelete with in the health sector. This product is fl exible, easy to use, extremely high quality and most of all - cost eff ective!

REQU IREMENTS

Medtech will be delivered over a secure private connection back to our datacentre over a high-speed Layer 2 connection. You will connecting using our custom built linux terminal clients that allow ease of use and fast connection to your PMS session.

You have the ability to access any health tools that can be accessed via a cloud-based system. This can sometimes rule out applications that are made to run locally, however these account for less than 2% of tools used in our model.

All our other products are specifi cally built to work with our Application Hosting model. This means that everything - just works!

We can take the hassle out of having multiple providers for each diff erent ICT service. TMG have our own domain & web hosting platform that is - you guessed it - custom built for our platform.

We usually recommend bringing your domain (and/or site) across to TMG as it allows us to help you faster and with less delay. Alot of issues with emails can be fast tracked this way.

• We use a dedicated internet connection to deliver all phone lines

• Your phones don’t need to be on the same premises - you can intstall a DDI and handset anywhere you have an internet connection (whilst remain-ing in your group of phones)

• There is a rich selection of features such as caller ID and Auto-attendant

• One internet connection replaces what would normally be several diff er-ent phone lines.

• You can have as many simultaneous calls as their are DDI’s (phones)

• We supply a fully managed switch, router and UPS as part of the service

• We work to provide the best possible internet available in your area

• Note: your existing connection will be used for computers. A separate connection will be in place for the phones (pricing included below). *In some cases we can use the existing internet connection for phone. This is usually where you have a small number of users or you have very high speed broadband available

• We highly recommend a single cell phone for the site is available at all times. In the unlikely event of an outage, the phones will failover to the mobile phone

Google Apps:For a small per user fee, you get alot of product. Gmail, Calen-dars, Hangouts (video), Drive (documents), Collaboration Suite (Docs, sheets, forms and slides). You also get the ability (should you choose) to manage the whole thing yourself via a easy to use Google admin panel. Google syc for Outlook, allows you to still use a familiar email client, but the browser interface is just stunning.

Hosted Microsoft ExchangeIf you are used to Outlook and/or Exchange for your email ac-cess and management, then this one may be for you. Hosted Exchange gives you a browser-based email client that looks and acts exactly as your outlook client does on your PC. The advantage is that this product can go anywhere you do.
