Rationale for a Team Approach
Teams are a part of everyone's life. You're a member of a family team, a staff team, school, health care and community teams.
So it's appropriate that you understand how to
function effectively as a team member.
How to create Team
Spirit
Teams succeed when members have :
Commitment to common objectives.
Defined roles and responsibilities for each person in the
team.
Effective decision systems, communication and work
procedures .
Good personal relationships between team member.
Increase their appreciation of each other and feeling of
team spirit is called Skill Appreciation.
Having a positive attitude and kind word for everyone.

Competitive relationships become more cooperative.
There is a willingness to
confront issues and solve problems.Teams develop the
ability to express criticism constructively.
There is a sense of team spirit.
How to foster team spirit
1. Make sure team members know a bit about each other's personal life.
2. Find reasons to celebrate together, such as birthdays, birth of a baby or grandchild, moving into a new house.
3. Let them know that you are also part of the team by asking your staff what they need from you to make their job more satisfactory, and doing your best to provide it.
4. People working together can sustain the enthusiasm and lend support needed to complete the work of each program
5. Discuss, determine and agree rewards for good performance
6. Make sure the combined purpose and importance of the team’s work is understood by everyone Keep everyone informed on progress
Positive spirit among team
Co-operation amongst team members should be encouraged
Forming smaller groups that work together on tasks and projects can help to promote closer working relationships.
Build a strong relationship between the organization and its customers
Encourage customer feedback so that your team can appreciate the positive effects they are having.
Strive to avoid disagreements
This can be dealt with by maintaining and encouraging communication. All member are able to freely talk about how they perceive the problem arose and offer suggestions on how it may be resolved.
Open up about yourself
Showing your human side can encourage your team members to lower their own barriers, and the more affinity they feel for each other on a human level, the better they will work with each other.
Recognize and celebrate when objectives are achieved
Team spirits can be lifted when their work results in the attainment of their objectives.
