HOW TO UPDATE THE

TRACKER

A guide toward consistency

IMPORTANCE OF THE TEAM

TRACKER

Trackers serve as the record-keeping tools that we use as bases or

references for the works or processes that we do for our clients. Each

tracker is considered a vital component in achieving what has to be

achieved on a daily basis.

WHY UPDATE IT?

Updating the tracker is a very simple and easy task. However, sometimes

the easier the task is, the more that people forget to do it. Call it

complacency or whatnot, but a task as simple as updating the tracker

may affect the team as a whole in different ways.

The trackers, specifically the team tracker, serve as the main reference

for:

- TASKS ACCOMPLISHED

- TASKS TO BE DONE

FORGET or NEGLECT

FORGETTING and NEGLECTING are two different things. It's normal

to forget to update the tracker once in a while, but it's never right to

neglect it. We should all remember though that despite the difference,

both have corresponding repercussions to the team operations, such

as

- Reassignment of tasks already

assigned to someone

- Double posting of blogs

- Missing out tasks that have yet

to be done

- Lack of details concerning

accountability (E.g. Answers the

questions, who and when - who

did what, when it was done, etc.)

THE CURSE of HUMAN ERROR

When aforementioned things

happen due to the simple mistake

on tracker updates or lack thereof,

it can be attributed to what is

called "human error."

And preventing the curse of

human errors lies in us. So...

ADDITIONAL NOTES

- Instead of semicolon (;), use the straight line break < | > when updating the

writer, date returned/approved, and posted columns if there are multiple

writers/editors for one client. Ex. 12/12/2012 Ayeen (2) | 12/12/2012 Lis (2)

- Double posting in Blogspot or Livejournal is allowed only when posting

original blog content for clients.

- Blogs written for FCA clients may be moved from one month to another,

depending on when they'll be approved and returned by the PM. Rest

assured, the writers will be notified accordingly for any changes/transfers

made.

- The team tracker must be updated right after the task is accomplished.
