Regardless of your answer to question #3, please explain your opinion.

Comments (taken directly from survey) Depends on Activity We have staff in 4 separate offices, many employees do not know each other and

what everyone does. I think this will give everyone an opportunity to interact with each other, since we

all do not work side by side. This would be a lot of fun and helps to build up the moral of a team.

It is fine to have team building activities but our office is very busy and we do not have time to participate.

Teamwork boots the work atmosphere I believe that team building activities bring employees closer together.

Survey Question #4: C O M M E N T S from question #3

Do you think “walks” are an effective or ineffective way to

bring our employees together? (Please explain your opinion)

Comments (taken directly from survey) Need more details regarding walks.

i.e Time, Place, Carpooling, (Donations?) Not for me, In the past I have experienced being apart of a group, that

started out as a group, but only lasted for a few minutes. Sure! I think several people already do them and if we join together it

would be a positive!.

Do you have any ideas for team building activities? Comments (taken directly from survey)

Need more lead time for activities. If one was out for a day or so, they may not even have known about it until it was too late. I liked the hula-hoop/luncheon we had. How about a bowling party after work hours?

-loved the two games Kristy brought in last time-loved the hula hoop game-pictionary-win, lose, or draw game (that would be cool)-musical chairs blindfolded (play Christmas music if we do this at the Christmas brunch)

Baking Christmas cookies and sharing them will all who participate. You will make a little bag of cookies for whoever is participating and them give them out. You should get a nice variety of cookies

Survey Question #8:

I said neutral to weekend gatherings because I know I personally have a lot going on outside of work, as I'm sure many others do, and I doubt many people will participate.

Other ideas:Have small group activities - "fun" days - when all clinicians are offsite - engage in several team building activities such as noted on this website http://wilderdom.com/games/InitiativeGames.html

Wrap-up

As a result of this survey, we have gained positive feedback about the topic of team building. Thank you so much for your input!!!

With regard to some of the comments: Office too busy/not having time to participate – These team building activities are something

that the staff said they wanted to see more of and management, both in this department and at Franklin Square, encourage. If you feel you are too busy to participate, please tell your supervisor/manager – we will gladly sit out and cover the work in your office so that you can join or have others help get the work caught up later. If you don’t tell us, we don’t know. If you just don’t want to participate, that is fine as well, but please don’t ruin it for everyone else who does.

Walks – started as a group but then lasted 5 minutes – The walks are meant to be fun and many people have been doing them for years so they may know others at the events. If we start as a team, but end up separated later on, that’s probably why – but it’s the joining together in the first place that matters.

Not enough lead time (notice of events) – The pumpkin carving was the first activity we have done together like this and it was last minute on our part to even decide to do it. We apologize for that. In the future, more notice will be given.

Thanks again for the feedback! It helped tremendously! Together we will come up with an action plan to help promote teamwork in our department.

Special thanks to Anthony for helping take the lead on these activities (and for his savvy work on this PowerPoint!!!) - From Management!
