- We want to follow our heavenly instructions
- We aim to reflect God’s love through our actions and ultimately win souls for the kingdom
- We want to encourage and help volunteers to reach out to those who need a helping hand
- Short-Term Mission Trips are an excellent way to experience the East African culture, meet new people, make new friends, and best of all – change lives!
WHY DO WE GO?
The plan for the teams is to follow on from our previous 2 years out there. Annette Kiisa, the headmistress has emphasised the need for teaching vocational based skills next year.
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
- Working with students at the school, alongside the teachers and those in the surrounding community, improving their skills
- Helping with maintenance
- Primary school programme: memory verses, songs, crafts and games
TEAM 1 (16TH-30TH JULY)
- Students at the school return home for the month, but those that help at the guesthouse, the community and other members at the school will benefit from skills training.

We ask for each team member to fundraise at least £500 to give to the school and community for animal projects, medical centre and upkeep.

VACCINATIONS
You should make an appointment with your GP NOW to discuss the vaccinations involved. Some are free on the NHS, others you will have to pay for.
- YELLOW FEVER: If your GP cannot give you this then you will need to contact the Lisburn Health Clinic. But check with your GP first.
- Hep A- Diphtheria- Tetanus- Polio- Typhoid- TB- Meningitis- Rabies- Hep B- Malaria tablets: Talk with your GP. We will also discuss options at our first team meeting.
FUNDRAISING
EBOLA AND MILITANT THREAT?
If the government or airlines decide it is unfit to enter Uganda for health or safety reasons, we will receive a full refund. You will not be out of pocket.
