OVERVIEW The Eagle Junction State School P&C Association would like to warmly welcome all new and returning families to Eagle Junction State School. As you prepare for the coming year, there are a couple of things all parents and carers must do.

TEAM APP The EJSS P&C Team App is the main communication tool used by both the school and the P&C. It is essential that you sign up to Team App if you want to receive information from the school (including the Principal), the P&C, and your Class Representative (contact point for parents in each class).

New to Team App The app is free and sign up is simple – Download Team App from the Apple or Google Play app store

Sign up to use Team App. You will be sent an email to confirm your registration.

Log into the App and search for ‘EJSS P and C’

Choose your applicable access group(s) – this will be your child’s class and any other

group that is appropriate (for example, Junior Choir, Senior Strings, EJ Kids’ Care, Sustainability).

If you are new to our school with a Prep student starting next year, select the PrepNY access group. Once you know which class your child will be in (usually late January), you will be able to change your access group at that time.

If you don’t have a smartphone, go to www.ejsspandc.teamapp.com to sign up and view the app on your PC.

Already Registered on Team App All access groups are cleared at the start of each year. Once you know the class name of your child/ren, please:

Log into Team App and click on ‘EJSS P and C’; Click on Settings (top right corner) > Access Groups; Choose the groups applicable to your child/ren – this will be your child’s class for the

current year, plus other groups such as Kids’ Care, choir or instrumental groups; If requested, write a reason for joining that group (e.g. parent of Tommy Chapman); Click ‘Send’ (top right); This sends a request to your Team App administrator and they will either approve or

deny your request.

Team App Frequently Asked Questions 1. How can I change or add to my access groups?

If you are in the wrong access group or you also want to be put in another access group, repeat instructions above. 2. How do I reset my password?

Open Team App and tap the "Log In" button. In the bottom right of the screen you will see a "Reset Password" button. Tap that and follow the prompts. 3. How do I change my email address?

Log in to your Team App account at teamapp.com and click on your name in the top right of the screen. In the drop-down click on the "Edit Account" option. On the page that loads, click on the "Edit" link next to your email address. This will take you to a page where you can enter in your new email address (and for security purposes they also ask for your password again). In order to make sure that your new email address is valid and you are not locked out of your account, they send you an email with a link to verify your email address. You must verify your new email address before you can use it to log in to your account. 4. Why am I not seeing all the messages that I should be?

Administrators and Class Representatives send information to access groups. Check to make sure that you are in the correct access group for your Team App. Click on settings inside your Team App. Then check access groups. Request access to the correct group(s) for you. 5. I am not receiving push notifications – why?

Follow these steps to make sure notifications are turned on. 1. Go to your Team App (ie. select a team from the home screen). 2. Inside of your Team App, click on the “Settings” in the top right. 3. Make sure that you have “Notifications” enabled. 4. Save the setting.

6. How can I stop the push notifications from waking me up in the middle of the night?

If you are on an iPhone or iPad, if you go to "Settings" and then "Do Not Disturb", you can set your phone to not make a sound during certain times of the day (e.g. 10pm to 7am). If you are on an Android phone, there is a "Do Not Disturb" mode that you can turn on before you go to bed. This will stop sounds and vibrations. 7. I don’t want to get a million push notifications

You will only get information that is relevant to your child’s class and any additional groups you register for (e.g. music). You can turn off the push notifications if you like, but then you need to be diligent about checking the app on a regular basis to see what has been added. 8. I don’t have a smartphone

Everything is replicated on our Team App website — ejsspandc.teamapp.com. This is also a great place to go if you want to look at a document full size (instead of squinting at your phone). 9. I have signed up to Team App but am having trouble with something — where can I

go?

There is a FAQ document on our team app under “Useful Info”. 10. I want to know more about what I can do with Team App – where can I go?

Great idea — the FAQ document has some great tips (e.g. adding events directly to your calendar). 11. I don’t want anyone to access my details — is my information protected?

Yes — all information is protected by Team App and not given to any other parties. 12. I don’t want my details to be viewable by people in the school — how do I arrange

this?

Sure – just don’t activate your details in the member details section. You are NOT automatically put into the Member Directory — you must opt in. By using Team App, we also avoid the chance of a Class Rep sending out your email address by mistake. 13. I would like people in the community to know my occupation and contact details

— I think it is a great marketing tool and a nice part of being in the EJ community. Can I do this?

Yes — if you would like to share your business or other details with the school community, log into Team App, go to Settings (top right-hand corner) and click on Member Details. Scroll down to the ‘opt in’ button next to “Member Directory” and click.

MUNCH MONITOR Munch Monitor (MM) is an on-line ordering system that we use in the Eagle’s Nest (Tuckshop/Canteen), the EJ Bookshop, the Tartan Trader (Uniform Shop) and for various school and P&C social events. Generally, the first time you will use MM is to order and pay for your child’s books and uniforms for next year.

Create Your Account To register:

Go to www.munchmonitor.com Click on LOGIN TO MUNCH MONITOR

Step 1: The EJSS School ID is eaglejss and the Password is munch4011. Once you’ve entered the information, click SUBMIT.

Step 2: Enter the username and password you would like to use, read, agree & accept the Terms of Use, and then click on CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT

An important email will be sent to you. Find the email and click the link to activate your Munch Monitor account. Check your Junk Mail folder in case the email has been treated as “spam”.

Enter your new Username (email address) and Password then click ACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT.

Follow the guided steps to complete the setup.

- create a Parent Profile (enter information about yourself); - create a Student Profile (add a STUDENT PROFILE for each child); - top-up funds at this stage if you would like.

If you already know your child’s class, select the class from the drop-down menu. If you do not know your child’s class (for example, they do not start until next year): - For New Prep Students - select 'NYPREP' if your child will be starting prep next

year. - For older students – select ‘NEWYRx’ and the year level they will be in. When

your child is allocated to a class, you can go back into Munch Monitor & select the correct class (see below).

Logging In Once you Have an Account

Go to www.munchmonitor.com Click on LOGIN TO MUNCHMONITOR or LOGIN in the top-right hand corner. Enter

your email address and your password. Then, select the green LOGIN to continue.

Selecting Your Child’s Class After You’ve Created An Account Log in and go to MY ACCOUNT. Select STUDENT PROFILE from the drop-

down menu.

Click on your child’s name on the left-hand side in the ‘Student Profile’ menu.

Go to the ‘Class *’ drop down box, scroll upwards and select the correct class for your child. If your child was at EJSS the previous year, you will see that your child has been moved to a temporary class called ‘NEWYRx’ which corresponds to the new year. Also – if you are new to the school and you used MM last year to order your Prep child’s books – they will be in a class called ‘NYPREP’.

After you have selected the correct class, click on ‘Save my profile’ at the bottom of the screen.

Repeat for each child in your family. If your child has left EJ, please follow the steps above but instead of updating class,

scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the red DELETE PROFILE box.

At the Start of the School Year At the start of each year, all children are shifted out of their class from last year and placed in a temporary class. For example, if your child was in year 3 last year, their temporary class for this year will be NEWYR4 until you reallocate them to the correct class. All parents MUST update their child’s profile with the new class for that year. Why?

To enable you to purchase items online from the Tuckshop and Uniform Shop; To enable your child’s tuckshop to be prepared at the correct time and packaged

accordingly; For tuckshop orders – if class details are not updated by the end of Term 1 Week 4,

you will not be able to order tuckshop online; To enable your child’s uniform orders to be delivered to the correct classroom; and For correct delivery of tickets purchased for exciting P&C events!

Please see instructions above on how to select the correct class for your child.

Account Top-up If you use your MM account for the TUCKSHOP/CANTEEN, you can top-up your account online with a credit card, or use cash at the tuckshop. Funds on your account can be used for both Canteen and School Shop purchases.

Log in and click on TOP UP ACCOUNT.

Alternatively, click on MY ACCOUNT in the top right-hand corner and select ACCOUNT TOP UP.

Select the amount you would like to top up your account with and select your card details (either use a previously entered card or enter new card details). Once you are happy with your selections, click on CONTINUE TOP UP

After confirming all details are entered correctly, click on TOP UP NOW. If you would like to change any details, click on BACK and you will be taken back to the previous screen to correct the details. When you click on TOP UP NOW and the top up is successful, the transaction will be APPROVED. Click DONE.

Alternatively, if your account balance is low and you are ordering lunch for your child, when you SUBMIT ORDER, Munch Monitor will ask you to top-up your account prior to confirming the lunch order. Simply follow the instructions.

Canteen (Eagles Nest / Tuckshop) When ordering online from Eagles Nest, you can:

Place lunch orders online up to 4 weeks in advance (up to 8:45am on the day); List your child’s allergies to alert tuckshop staff; Give your child a daily or weekly allowance of snack money; and Identify banned food items for your child when they use their snack money.

You may order Breakfast, Lunch for 1st Break and/or Lunch for 2nd Break. If your child is in the junior school (Prep – Year 3), their longer lunch break is 1st Break. If your child is in the senior school (Year 4 – Year 6), their longer lunch break is 2nd Break.

Select the correct week the order is for. Select the day of the week for the child you wish to place the order for.

Select the tab for the break-time you would like to place an order and start selecting the items and quantity you’d like to order for your child. NB: Munch Monitor defaults to 2nd Break so please check which break you are on before selecting items.

You can select items for more than one break-time and they will all be summarised at the bottom of the screen. If you change your mind about a selection, simply reduce the quantity for that item to 0 and it will disappear from your list. Once you have selected all food items and are happy with your order, click SUBMIT ORDER. An email confirmation will be sent to you.

If you change your mind about an order after it has been submitted, you can go back in (before 8:45am on the day), amend the order and it will be updated – your account balance will also be updated accordingly. You can also delete the order (before 8:45am on the day) and the cost will be credited back onto your account.

If you wish to amend or delete an order after 8:45am on the day, you will need to contact the tuckshop on 07 3637 1113 as soon as possible to discuss. It is imperative that you contact the tuckshop asap as some items, e.g. sushi, are outsourced and the orders are phoned through to the external supplier at 9am on the day.

School Shop (Bookshop/Uniform Shop/Events/etc) Munch Monitor is used by various subcommittees of the P&C to sell school supplies (book packs), school uniforms, tickets to family, student or parent socials, etc. These items are sold through the SCHOOL SHOP. To purchase these items, follow these steps:

Log in and click on SCHOOL SHOP.

Select your child’s name in the drop-down box beside STEP 1 – SELECT STUDENT.

Select what you would like to purchase in the drop-down box beside STEP 2 – SELECT CATEGORY

The usual options available include:

- Tartan Trader – School Uniform (unisex polo shirts, skorts, tartan dresses, tartan shirts, unisex shorts);

- Tartan Trader – House Uniform (house polo shirts and house shorts); - Tartan Trader – Swimming Uniform (house swim bags, house swim caps and

house swim shirts); - Tartan Trader – Uniform Accessories (school bag, hair accessories, hats and

socks); - Tartan Trader – Winter Vests & Jumpers (fleecy vests and zippered jumpers); - Tartan Trader – Bookshop (library bags and other miscellaneous bookshop

items); - Bookshop – Book Packs are available for purchase in October each year; - Senior contribution (Year 6) – this is only relevant for children in Year 6 and

further information in this regard is distributed to Year 6 parents by the Seniors Committee at the start of the year; and

- Events - tickets for family, children and parent social events (these will be options as and when required).

For example, if you would like to purchase 3 x size 4 (unisex) Polo shirts, you would: - Select the TARTAN TRADER – SCHOOL UNIFORM category, - Find the size 4 Polo shirt, - Click on the quantity drop-down box and select 3.

Once you have bought all the items you need from a CATEGORY type, select ADD TO CART.

Once added, the following message will appear. Select ADD MORE ITEMS to continue “shopping”.

Scroll to the top of the page and change the CATEGORY to continue ordering other items, for example, school bag, hat, socks, etc. Remember to ADD TO CART before leaving a category.

Additional notes: - Most Prep students are size SMALL for hats however all hats come with an

elastic toggle to tighten, if required. - All socks are based on shoe size. Generally Prep students are 5-8 (extra small),

9-12 (small) or 13-3 (medium). - When purchasing book packs, remember to select the book packs you would like

based on the year your child/ren will be in next year. Make sure you select ALL the book packs you want to purchase, even if not for the student you selected, as this will make collection easier (they will all be under one child’s name).

Once you have selected all your required items, it is time to CHECKOUT. Select VIEW CART at the top of the page.

Review the ORDER SUMMARY in your shopping cart. Select ADD MORE ITEMS TO CART if you need to add or edit items. If you would like to remove an item altogether, click on the rubbish bin to the left of the item and follow the steps. When you are happy with your selections, select CHECKOUT & PAY.

When selecting your payment method, you can either use your previously entered card details or enter your card details through NAB. Enter in credit card details, if needed, and select CONTINUE.

Your order will be processed and you will receive a receipt of payment (via email). Please retain this receipt as proof of purchase.

If you have ordered: - from Bookshop, your book pack(s) will be packed and available for collection in

November. - from Tartan Trade (uniform shop), your order will be packed and left in your

child’s teacher’s pigeon hole for collection and distribution to your child to take home. If you are ordering Prep uniforms the year before your child starts school, your order will be packed and available for collection in November during book collection or on Friday mornings between 8-9am from the Uniform Shop (located under A Block).

- tickets for family, student and parent social events – the organisers of the event will advise how tickets will be distributed. For example – the EJ Movie Night in October, tickets are handed out to families (via the students) a couple of days before the event.

Fees and Charges When used for the TUCKSHOP/CANTEEN, MM charges a small fee per term ($3.65) which is deducted from your MM account balance. This is irrespective of how many students on your account or how many times you place orders. When used for the SCHOOL SHOP (Bookshop, Tartan Trader and most other P&C purchases), there is no service fee.

Munch Monitor Account Closure You can cancel your Munch Monitor account at anytime and there are no fees to do so. It is particularly important to close your account when leaving the school so you are refunded your account balance. You can access the Munch Monitor Account Closure Request Form under USEFUL INFO on Team App or by contacting Munch Monitor directly at [email protected].
