How to teach the teacher?
• Aim: skills for teaching the subject in English
• Credits: 4 ECTS
• Schedule: – Part 1: 4 X 45 min a week, 10 weeks– Part 2: practice and feedback (12 weeks,
individual work, 90 min per participant)

•including the specific preparation and teaching experience of the participants

How?
A safe „playground“ for hands-on experience•participating, not listening. Memento! Socratic method – peer discussions.

• via experience of others: – video lectures – texts – materials on the special field

Activities:
• individual tasks: – introduction to the course
(the first 7 min with the „students“) – teaching a topic (15 min) – teaching a topic more thoroughly (30 min)– blog– hands-on teaching to real students
• friendly feedback – reflections by the participant (Noticing Sheet, video)
Cerebrations
• tutors’ joint preparation for the seminars
• tutors’ joint work during the seminars– guiding– noticing– feedback
• course materials and schedule in the blog
• study materials, written (home)work and communication in the blog
To sum up:
• diversity enriches
• group synergy: more confidence for teaching in a foreign language, sharing and learning, noticing, practicing various methods of teaching
• synergy of joint teaching
