Note:-

1. The number of vacancies as shown above can increase or decrease. Further, appointments can be made

from the existing selection panel for vacancies of similar nature in ICAR or other schemes approved by

the competent authority.

OTHER CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS/CANDIDATES

1. Knowledge of Hindi language (Hindi speaking, reading and writing) is essential for all posts of

Madhya Pradesh Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur.

2. The upper age limit for the applicants for appointments at the point of entry posts shall be 38 years on

the last date of submission of application form (The Vice-chancellor can relax the same in special

circumstances).

3. Appointment to the post shall be temporary and its further continuation shall be subject to approval by

the competent body/financing agency.

4. The benefit of reservation to the applicants will be available as per provision contained in the Madhya

Pradesh Lok Seva (Anusuchit Jatiyon, Anusuchit Jan Jatiyon Aur Anya Pichhade Vergon Ke Liyae

Arakshan) Adhiniyam, 1994 and amendment made by the Govt. of M.P. from time to time. The

applicants belonging to ST/SC/OBC category and claiming benefit of reservation should be a bonafide

resident of M.P. The candidature of such applicants shall be considered against the post reserved for

ST/SC/OBC category provided the caste to which he/she belongs to has been included in the list of

ST/SC/OBC notified for M.P. State.

5. There shall be reservation of vacancies with regards to women candidates as per provisions of Madhya

Pradesh Civil Services (Mahilaon Ki Niyukti Hetu Vishes Upbandh) Rules, 1997 and amendments

made from time to time.

6. There shall be reservation for blind, deaf and other physically handicapped persons as per M.P. Govt.

rules and instructions issued from time to time to regulate reservation for above categories.

7. Applicants must possess the essential qualifications and experience on the last date for receipt of

applications. However, the desirable qualifications for the applicants can be considered on the

date of interview.

8. The requirement regarding minimum percentage of marks shall be relaxed up to 5% in case of

Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates. MPPCVV Employees (either belong to

unreserved or reserved category of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes) with a minimum of 5

years service in the Vishwavidyalaya shall be provided relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum

percentage of marks.

9. Application not accompanied with application fee, copies of Certificates/Degrees/Marksheets/

Transcripts in support of academic qualifications, and other required documents shall be

rejected.

10. The candidate must download the “Score Card” attached with this advertisement and filling the same as ‘Self Assessed Score Card’, that must be enclosed along with the application form. In the

“Score Card”, the marks for Ph.D. qualification have been distributed as under:

(a) Candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree with “Course Work”, shall get full

marks as specified for Ph.D. qualification in the “Score Card”.

(b) Candidates who have been permitted by this University (MPPCVV) or by JNKVV, Jabalpur to do

the Ph.D. Degree prior to issue of this “Score Card”, shall get full marks as specified for Ph.D.

qualification in the “Score Card”.

(c) Candidates who have been registered for a Ph.D. Degree prior to the date (September, 2009) of

Notification of UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations,

2009, and are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree before or after that date (September, 2009),

shall get full marks as specified for Ph.D. qualification in the “Score Card”.

(d) Candidates who are or have been registered for a Ph.D. Degree after the date (September, 2009) of

Notification of UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations,

2009 and are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree without “Course Work”, shall get 50% marks

against the marks as specified for Ph.D. qualification in the “Score Card”.

11. The candidate should enclose the list of their scientific publications. The scientific publications should

be listed under the Published/Accepted category of Scientific Papers (Full Research Papers/Review

Articles), Extension Publications, Popular Articles, and Books/Manuals/Monographs. The papers

should be classified on the basis of their publications in: Refereed (Peer-Reviewed) Journals with

Impact Factor (IF)/National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) Rating; Refereed (Peer-

Reviewed) Journals but without IF/NAAS Rating; Non-Refereed but Recognized and Reputable

Journals having ISSN; Conference Proceedings; Indian/National Publishers’ Books with ISBN; and

Registered or Vernacular and Indian Language Journals. The applicant should enclose the

reprints/acceptance letters of all the papers Published/Accepted in Journals/Proceedings/

Souvenirs/Books, etc. Similarly as a proof of publications of Books/Manuals/Monographs/Theses/

Dissertations/Project Reports, their cover pages or acceptance letters from the competent

authorities/publishers/editors, etc. should be enclosed with the application form. 12. The selected candidate shall be governed by the Vishwavidyalaya rules and service conditions and

shall be paid allowances as permissible by the Vishwavidyalaya from time to time. Higher initial salary

may be granted to the meritorious candidates as per provisions and statutes of the University.

13. Summary sheet, as per the format supplied along with blank application form, shall be prepared

and submitted in QUADRUPLICATE. It should be prepared with due care as the same will be

submitted to the Screening Committee/Selection Committee along with application for

consideration. 14. Persons already in service must apply through proper channel. However, to avoid delay, an advance

copy of application may be submitted so as to reach the Registrar in time.

15. Applications, complete in all respect, should reach the Registrar latest by the prescribed date for

submission of application.

16. The Candidate shall have to appear for interview, if called for, at his/her own cost. The ST/SC/OBC

candidates will be allowed travelling allowances as per rules of the M.P. State Govt.

17. The application fee shall not be refunded in any case.

18. The Vishwavidyalaya reserves the right to increase/decrease or not to fill in the posts and/or not to call

any of the applicants for interview.

19. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any influence, directly or indirectly, shall disqualify the

candidate.

20. If disproportionately large number of applications is received, then Vishwavidyalaya may opt a

DETAILS OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POST OF DEAN, COLLEGE OF VETERINARY

SCIENCE & ANIMAL HUSBANDRY

Essential:

i. A Ph.D. Degree in any branch of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry.

ii. A First Class Master’s Degree in any of the branch of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry

(M.V.Sc. or M.V.Sc. & A.H.) with minimum 3.00 OCGA in 4.00 point scale or 6.50 OGPA in

10.00 point scale or equivalent (Trimester/Semester system) or 60% marks (Traditional system); or

an equivalent Degree of Foreign/Indian recognized University.

iii. A Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. or B.V.Sc. & A.H.).

iv. A minimum of 15 (fifteen) years experience in teaching/research/extension in recognized national

institutes, out of which at least 5 (five) years should be as Professor or equivalent positions.

OR

An eminent scientist with proven record of scientific contribution of working in reputed

organization/institute having at least fifteen (15) years experience in the area of Veterinary Science

& Animal Husbandry, out of which at least five years should be the teaching experience.

v. Proven track record of ability to initiate, organize and coordinate the

research/teaching/extension/educational activities (as supported by published works/innovations) in

the field of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry.

vi. Registration under the Veterinary Council of India (VCI).

Desirable:

i. The candidate should possess administrative experience of minimum of five years in the capacity

of In-Charge Dean of College/In-Charge, Centre/Head of Department or Office/Principal

Investigator, All India Network Project.

ii. Evidence of published work with a minimum of 5 research papers in the field of specialization with

NAAS rating of total of 20 marks in refereed (Peer-Reviewed) scientific journals as specified by

National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS).
