encouraged to give their individual responses.

Many activities are done in a collaborative manner to

make them stress free for the learners who are not so

confident.

Points to ponder before the listening LessonIf the teacher is doing an activity on comprehension take

following into consideration

Asking the learners to attempt the task only when they

hear it the second time.

If required ,playing the CD again or read again for

learners to complete the portions they were unable to

do in the first attemptReading aloud the relevant portions which learners

were unable to comprehend when played on the audio

equipment earlier.

Level Five-Good Listener

Able to understand speech about personal topics ,involving concrete

objects.Ability to understand tone of voice,give appropriate listener.

Level Four- Competent Listener

Able to more or less understand speech on personal topics involving

concrete objects.Some ability to understand tone of voice of the

speaker and give somewhat adequate

Level three – listener of adequate ability

Can understand some conversations in English but may require some

repetition

Can barely understand speech about personal information and
