In 2002 £10 million was spent on theredevelopment and Brighton Museum & Art Gallery nowboasts dynamic and innovative galleries that provide greatlyimproved access to the museum’s nationally and locallyimportant collections. Galleries include Fashion & Style,World Art, Performance, Body, Fine Art, Local History and20th Century Art & Design. Life and the Afterlife in Ancient EgyptWhat did the ancient Egyptians believe about the afterlife?Who got to be mummified and why?What was life like for ordinary people in ancient Egypt,living and working on the banks of the Nile?Use costume and props, as well as real ancient objects,to explore the lives of the powerful and those ofordinary people.
