DESCRIPTION
Teachers are under increasing pressure to harness the potential of the internet and educational technology, yet this focus on tools often obscures a larger issue: rethinking the role of the teacher. Teachers no longer need to think of themselves as the hub of all content and knowledge in their courses; rather, the modern learning landscape has empowered teachers to become designers of rich learning experiences that allow students to take ownership of their learning, engage the world around them, and discover new ways to express themselves. This presentation will focus on how to leverage principles like learner-centered design and tools like learning management systems, cloud-based technology, and mobile devices to create multifaceted experiences for students.TRANSCRIPT
