TDS’ Broadband Stimulus ExplainedTDS applied for funds to bring broadband to customers in our most

remote locations. (46 apps rd 2; 13 apps rd 1)– In total, $135.9 million in projects will be completed by TDS

employees and contractors within 36 months. – Received $12.5 million in grants for projects in Michigan and

Alabama in round one. (Jan. 2010) – Approved to begin 42 projects in 20 states, in round two. (Aug.

2010)– $105 million in grants and $30.9 million of our own funds will be

used to bring high speed broadband Internet to rural America.

TDS will deliver broadband to more than 26,000 new households by 2013.

Upon completion, TDS will have broadband availableto 97% of our customers in 30 states. One of thehighest broadband deployment rates in the country.
