Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a famous Russiancomposer. A composer is someone who writes music. He wrote music for different occasions including for ballets, operas andsymphonies. A symphony is a long piece of music which is played by

an orchestra.

The Nutcracker is a ballet written by Tchaikovsky in 1892 - 128years ago. It is based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King

story by Ernst Hoffman.
