In the early to mid-1990’s Michael Naylor our investor and board member was assisting US based IPPs to diversify into emerging, deregulated markets and capitalize on the “dash for gas”. Primarily he was involved in power asset development, also supporting companies such as AES, Sithe, Intergen, CMS, Cinergy, Duke.

Michael Naylor and Daniel Muir are equity investors and Non-Executive Directors who operate in the board-level executive search business in the clean technology industry worldwide (www.aurigapartnership.com). Our combined experience exceeds 60 years; more than any other business of our kind.

Tom has been active in renewable energy recruitment since 2004 and has worked on mid to senior level appointments with many of the industry’s most high-profile players in development, private equity and venture capital. Having built brand new renewable energy and clean tech search and selection propositions for a PLC and start-up, generalist recruitment company, Tom took the decision to start his own business in 2009 to focus exclusively on the renewable energy and clean tech sectors.

Tom takes an active role in promoting the renewable energy industry to young people and works with Renewable UK to promote training and education opportunities to increase the UK talent pool and ensure a prosperous UK renewables sector for years to come.

Jeff graduated from Aberdeen University with a degree in Sports Science and has represented Scotland in Rugby. After 6 successful years working in the leisure industry he transferred his business development and account management skills to recruitment consultancy in September 2008. In July 2009 Jeff became the first employee of Taylor Hopkinson specialising in roles for the wind, wave and tidal sector covering the full project life cycle. Account management strategies and delivery for a number of industry leading names also falls under Jeff’s remit. He presently sits on the Renewable UK Skills and Employment Strategy Group.

...to renewable energy and the environment. During our first year of operation, we committed to minimising our carbon footprint wherever possible without sacrificing the quality of our service delivery. We also committed to reducing this footprint per head every year by reviewing our practices, operations and suppliers frequently, ensuring we are doing all we can to reduce our environmental impact. In January 2014, to be amongst our clients and latest developments in industry, the Glasgow team moved into new headquarters in Glasgow in the Industry Engagement Building at Strathclyde University. We are now based in the INOVO Industry Engagement Building, which is the first building in city centre Glasgow to offer an EPC rating of A and BREEAM “Excellent. This development forms part of the Technology and Innovation Centre, and these together form the International Technology and Renewable Energy Zone (ITREZ).

We are a member of the Renewable UK Skills and Employment Strategy Working Group, which focuses on the development of skills and talent within industry; membership includes employers, academia, training providers, and recruitment specialists. Our commitment to the industry is further demonstrated in our policies which we believe show ambitious plans, but underpin our ethos. Recent charity work (we undertake a minimum of one fundraising effort per year) has seen the team at Taylor Hopkinson Associates successfully compete a half-marathon in 2012, Tough Mudder in 2013 and a 22.5 mile run over Mount Snowdon, Wales, in 2014, totalling over £11,500 raised.
