Hotbox Since 2016Founded in 2016 in Maranello, Italy, a team of part time pizzaiolos and engineers were fed up with delivering cold and soggy pizza to their clients. Desperately failing to find a solution they decided to take matters in their own hands. As so many great innovations, the idea was sparked by an accident when Claudio burned himself on the exhaust pipe of the scooter while delivering pizza. Aerospace engineers, cousin Anthony, long time friend Marco and Industrial Automation technician Domenico applied advanced physical principles and ingenious innovation to make Hotbox –keeping the food warm (85°C) and crunchy (steam-free) for up to 40 min of transport, recycling the excess heat from the scooter engine.

Since then, the team is growing and continue to innovate and work hard to makeHotbox available for restaurants and delivery teams across the globe, with themission to elevate the quality of the food delivery industry – hot & crunchy food atthe doorstep!

HOTBOX was born from our need of reaching perfectionOur team’s backgrounds of industrial automation, design, aerospace engineering andexperience in catering business have blended to create an intelligent and sustainableproduct.Our patented technology combines two systems: HotAir in order to control food’stemperature, and SteamFree in order to monitor its humidity, keeping the rightfood’s texture. This is how Hotbox keeps the food warm (85°) and crunchy (steamfree) for over 40 minutes of delivery, with the aim of becoming the new deliverystandard for quality food.

Indeed, we Hotbox know the effort and determination that restaurant owners sustainin order to make high quality food. We know that the hard work behind few minutesof cooking a perfect pizza is way longer: the cure for detail is a process that lastsyears and that concerns suppliers, equipment and quality ingredients. We havecreated a product that keeps food quality because we believe that love for deliciousfood is universal.That is how Hotbox was born, in order to make restaurants deliver into theircustomers houses the quality and passion for the food they cook.
