E. FURNISH AND INSTALL MANUFACTURER'S BACNET INTERFACE FOR EACH SYSTEM TO SUPPORT THE GENERAL CONTROL AND MONITORINGFUNCTIONS FOR EACH GROUP OF INDOOR UNITS. THE PROTOCOL SHALL OPERATE OVER RS485 AND TCP/IP. NO ACTUAL CONNECTION TO ANAUTOMATION SYSTEM IS REQUIRED AT THIS TIME, BUT THE BACNET INTERFACE IS REQUIRED FOR FUTURE CONNECTIVITY .

INSTALLATION

A. INSTALL WALL-MOUNTED, COMPRESSOR-CONDENSER COMPONENTS ON BRACKETS PROVIDED BY MANUFACTURER OF OUTDOORUNIT. BRACKETS SHALL BE HEAVY-DUTY CARBON STEEL, FINISHED WITH AN ELECTROSTATICALLY APPLIED, THERMALLY FUSEDACRYLIC OR POLYESTER POWDER COATING FOR CORROSION PROTECTION. BRACKETS SHALL BE MOUNTED ON A SUITABLE WALL ORSTRUCTURE TO SUPPORT THE EQUIPMENT AND KEEP THE EQUIPMENT OFF THE GROUND. FURNISH, AND INSTALL ANY ANCHOR ORATTACHMENT MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR THE WALL CONSTRUCTION AT THE SELECTED MOUNTING LOCATION. SET EQUIPMENTSUPPORTS SO TOP SURFACE OF EQUIPMENT IS LEVEL. INSTALL UNITS IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER'S WRITTENINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.

PIPING CONNECTIONS

DRAWINGS INDICATE GENERAL ARRANGEMENT OF PIPING, FITTINGS, AND SPECIALTIES. REFRIGERANT PIPING INDICATED ON DRAWINGS ISSCHEMATIC ONLY. SIZE PIPING AND DESIGN ACTUAL PIPING LAYOUT (INCLUDING OIL TRAPS, DOUBLE RISERS, SPECIALTIES, ETC.) TOACCOMMODATE (AS A MINIMUM) EQUIPMENT PROVIDED, ELEVATION DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMPRESSOR AND EVAPORATOR, ANDLENGTH OF PIPING TO ENSURE PROPER OPERATION AND COMPLIANCE WITH WARRANTIES OF CONNECTED EQUIPMENT.

A. INSTALL AND CONNECT PRE-CHARGED REFRIGERANT TUBING TO COMPONENT'S QUICK-CONNECT FITTINGS. INSTALL TUBING TOALLOW ACCESS TO UNIT. ONLY FLAME FREE REFRIGERANT FITTINGS WILL BE ALLOWED. NO SOLDERING OR BRAZING IS TO BE USED.

B. CONDENSATE DRAIN: TYPE DWV, ASTM B306, DRAWN-TEMPER COPPER TUBING, WROUGHT-COPPER FITTINGS, AND SOLDEREDJOINTS; OR SCHEDULE 40 PVC PLASTIC PIPE AND FITTINGS AND SOLVENT-CEMENTED JOINTS. SCHEDULE 40 PVC PLASTIC PIPE IS NOTALLOWED ABOVE CEILING SYSTEMS OR ANY RETURN AIR PLENUM.
