Letter from Harcourts Tasmania CEO:Tasmania kicks off this quarter with increased listings after a quieter than anticipated winter sales period. Despite
a slower 3 months, the Harcourts brand continued its growth with the opening of our Huon office by Andrew and
Jodie Henry in the south of the state, the second for this high profile team. Our Legana office has seen a change of
ownership with Paul Champion recently taking over the West Tamar territory.
We have also seen our market share closing in on 10% for the first time in Tasmania, which we attribute to a
greater number of offices and highly trained quality staff. Harcourts now has 19 offices throughout Tasmania with
opportunities still existing in the southern market for further growth and expansion.
The Harcourts Academy has successfully trailed the registration of our own sales and property management people
wholly through the Academy and no longer accessing the Real Estate Institute of Tasmania. With our first student
receiving registration with more than a 90% exam result, we look forward to rolling out a marketing and training plan
to become the most recognised real estate training body in Tasmania.
