Information Leaf & Fee ScheduleTargeted Course
The Test Series has been specifically structured to help students prepare cyclically for the exam. Each cycle gives
candidates the chance to improve over the previous one and measure their progress. Each cycle, if treated as a
revision cycle, will gradually raise the preparation level of the candidates, giving them multiple revisions of the
entire syllabus.
CYCLICAL STRUCTURE
CYCLE 1 : THEMATIC & REVISION TESTS
The questions in this cycle will test the understanding of
the candidates on different themes of the exam like
Modern India, Indian Geography, World Geography, etc.
In a single test, the candidates can evaluate themselves
for two themes simultaneously. After completion of four
themes, candidates will then appear for a revision test.
CYCLE 3 : COMPREHENSIVE & FLTS
The questions in these tests will be of
advanced difficulty level and the papers will
test the knowledge in all the subjects. This
will give the students exact exam like
experience and will prepare them for the
same much in advance.
CYCLE 2 : REPLICA OF CYCLE 1
but with a fresh set of test questions. Once
the candidates have gone through the First
Cycle, they will be in a position to easily identify
their weak areas for which they can prepare
and then they will again be given a chance in
the Second Cycle to test their strength.
EXAM LIKE SIMULATION
§ LENGTH: All tests will be of 100 questions and 2 hours duration each.
§ SIT-DOWN TESTS - Tests nos. 7-20 (refer to the schedule) will be conducted in sit-down format, exactly in
exam like situation under strict discipline and at fixed timings only.
§ ONLINE TESTS: All tests (even test nos. 7-20) will be available online. The candidate may appear for
online test at any time after the tests are released (check the schedule).
DIFFICULTY LEVEL AND LOGICAL STANDARD
The difficulty level of the test questions will be exactly that of UPSC. It will not be below that. It will not be
way above that either, just to impress the candidates. Focus will not be just on testing the factual clarity.
The logical standard of the questions will be high, which is the actual pattern of UPSC.
REAL SYLLABUS VS APPARENT SYLLABUS
The syllabus of General Studies given by UPSC is only indicative. The actual syllabus of this section is much
more and the details can be explored only after combining the syllabus with the previous years' questions to
create all the possible DIMENSIONS from which the questions may be asked. The Test Series will help the
candidates in framing out the real syllabus of the UPSC exam.
More Features
C3 (CURRENT- CORE- CONCEPT) APPROACH
By analyzing the latest trend of UPSC, we may find that it is just not asking questions from the news issues/
current issues which are very transient in nature, rather it uses them as the context to explore the core
areas of General Studies relevant for a particular year's exam and then it tests the conceptual
understanding of the candidates from the same areas. Based on the same philosophy, we have developed
our C3 (Current- Core- Concept) approach and designed our test series to help the candidates cover all
the issues highly probable for the exam.
C3 BOOKLETS/ SUPPLEMENTARY STUDY MATERIAL
The candidates will be provided with supplementary study material in the form of C3 Booklets covering all
the themes important for the exam in separate booklets.
SOURCES
§ The tests will be based upon authentic and standard sources only.
§ Students will be given clear cut idea about which sources they have to follow for the exam
§ Apart from the standard reference sources, the basic and fundamental sources will also be covered, like
NCERT and National Institute of Open Schooling booklets, Atlas etc.
§ Besides the sources, students will also be given Micro Syllabus areas and issues to be focused on for
the tests
ALL INDIA RANKING AND PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
Besides All India ranking, students can access Section-wise, detailed performance analysis. Subject
and section-wise evaluation will help the candidates in finding out their respective areas of strength and
weakness.
