Spot Cart● A system that will enable guests to select the products that they want to buy and pay for

them using their smartphone, and simply collect their purchases which will be waiting for

them in a shopping cart.

with Target’s mission of outstanding value, continuous innovation and exceptional

experiences to their guests.

Video Mining● An in-store data analytics technology that will help Target extract valuable information

and understand their customers better

● The system attaches a layer of software to the existing security cameras to track the

movement of guests in the store

● This will help Target understand shopping patterns of customers. How many times has

this person come in? Where do they go in the store? Have they visited multiple store

locations?

● Anonymity for guests

● Inexpensive because the technology already exists and can be used on the existing

cameras

Social Media● Refurbishing the app interface for user friendliness

● Integration of both apps to avoid confusion

● Promote each of Target’s focus areas in the social media promotions by sharing

pictures, recommending products to guests etc

● Providing a platform for the Target Guests Community to engage with each other

● Encouraging people to share pictures of themselves using Target products
