Creating exceptional spaces for everyday use.
Alex Getelman founded Aragon Construction in 2000 with only three
employees. Today, Aragon is New York City's fastest growing general
contracting and construction management firm with over 75 professional
employees, sales that exceed $100 million and an unrivaled reputation for
completing challenging, multi-layered projects on schedule, within budget and
with superior workmanship. Today the company, which specializes in interior
construction fit-outs for both the public and private sectors, has an extensive
A-list client roster, including British Airways, Robert Half, Paramount Group,
Shorenstein Properties, Rudin Management, Jones Lang LaSalle, Credit Suisse,
Horizon Media and Lazard Freres Co. To all of them, Aragon offers what
everyone in the business promises but not everyone delivers: true principal
involvement and a commitment to getting the job done no matter what it
takes. As a result, Aragon has grown from a single, large project that helped
launch the firm eleven years ago to the completion of an average of 150
projects annually, and can boast more than 900 projects for the elite of the
Fortune 1000. With proven success in the commercial, corporate, industrial,
retail, hospitality, and airport sectors, Aragon has the depth and resources to
introduce you to the premier construction experience for the tri-state area.

The Aragon difference starts with service.
As one of the leading contractors in New York City we have a track record of
outstanding levels of services. As a standard of Aragon’s, we provide ample due
diligence by visiting the project site to understand the existing conditions,
personally walking the material access space, learning delivery times, and by
reviewing the building’s rules and regulations. Aragon will visit the site several
times during the pre-construction phase to ensure that all drawings being
developed by the team will work within the existing conditions, an imperative
procedure the Construction Manager initiates and maintains. During the
subcontractors’ bid process, Aragon will issue a detailed narrative of the listed
conditions to include in their bid.
Aragon’s operations procedure gives us an unparalleled advantage by enabling
the team to thoroughly process written communication with the use of Timberline
Software, which we have customized to efficiently monitor job progress. Utilizing
standard control procedures through Timberline gives us the flexibility to modify
documentation for individual projects with specific needs. This consideration
makes Aragon’s organizational structure ideal for completing a superior product,
with sharp attention for detail.
PROJECT MANAGER
The Project Manager will spend time in the field working with the
field superintendent, attending and hosting project meetings with
the consultants and monitoring sub-contractor progress. In
addition to on-site meetings, the project manager holds weekly
superintendent meetings where he will be updated on project
progress and any changes that have occurred since his last on-site
visit.
SUPERINTENDENT
The Superintendent is the full-time on-site supervisor. He will deal
with the day-to-day coordination of the trades, handle labor issues
as they arise, and meet with architects, engineers and consultants
to clarify questions pertaining to the working drawings.
FIELD OFFICE
Aragon believes in providing a field office that
serves as an extension of our home office. Our entire
field operation, Principal, Vice Presidents, Account
Executive, Project Managers, Superintendents,
Expediters, Field Estimator, the Client, Architects
and Engineers will use this office as their home
office throughout the progress of the project. The
field is furnished with a conference area for
meetings, and a telephone and fax to enable a
constant line of communication to the home office
and the offices of the Subcontractors.

Aragon delivers “Best in Class” results.
Aragon Construction stands out among its competition by offering quality,
service, and commitment to construct for many of the premier firms housed in
this great city. When choosing Aragon as your construction manager, you get
a team of experienced professionals who make client satisfaction top priority.
Prospective staff is carefully scrutinized during our three-tier interview
process. Beyond the requisite experience, Aragon seeks individuals with
proven management skills, a vision of the future that can be intertwined with
ours and, most of all, those searching for the challenge that only high-quality
service delivery can produce. These are the people that will make it happen
for your project.
Construction Management Services
A full time superintendent and project manager will be assigned to the project
for the duration of the job. The super is the on site manager, and insures that
the subcontractors are building the project according to plans and
specifications. Any unforeseen conditions that arise are brought to the project
manager’s attention for correspondence to the client. They also supervise the
onsite, Aragon employs, Local 79 Laborers to maintain a clean, neat and safe
jobsite. The Project Manager’s responsibility is to expedite the project by
requesting all submittals, equipment cuts, and specifications from the subs
and forwarding them to the architect, engineer and owner for approval. Their
ultimate responsibility is to manage the paperwork portion of the project. All
requisitions for payment are coordinated with our in-house accounting
department to ensure proper billing.
12
Construction Management Services (continued)
Each week, the PM and superintendent hold a jobsite meeting with all members of the project team to track schedule and any open
issues. This keeps all parties involved in the project informed of the events that lead up to the project completion. Our director of
operations visits the project site weekly to meet with our super and project manager to review paperwork, quality and details.
Mandatory weekly office meetings at Aragon’s headquarters are held to again discuss each project in detail. This system covers any
items that may have been overlooked at the jobsite meeting. The closeout portion of the project is the most important to Aragon and
our clients. We pre-punchlist our jobs prior to turnover so that the architect, engineer and client are satisfied with the overall quality and
outcome of their job. All warranties, waivers of lien, operation manuals and as-built drawings are delivered in an expedient fashion so the
project is ready to be completely billed and closed out. The inner workings of all Aragon’s administrative staff support all members of
the team to expedite all paperwork and correspondence. At Aragon Construction our loyalty and drive for excellence towers over our
competitors, and is the reason why Aragon stands above the rest. Quality and service are our top priorities!
Pre-Construction Phase
Aragon Construction provides all phases of Construction Management (CM) Services during the pre-construction phase, Aragon
dedicates its expertise to the design team. Producing quality drawings and specifications is critical to a project’s success. The CM team
analyzes drawing amendments to ensure details and changes developed at project meetings are incorporated. This requires a
continuous dialog within the team and with client representatives. Job site visits are conducted and building logistical issues are
considered. Our goal is to provide a complete and accurate bid package, maximizing value engineering and incorporating cost options
and materials substitutions as identified during the design process. Aragon works closely with consultants and utilizes industry alliances
to determine construction costs associated with the scope of work. The result of this effort is a complete projected cost breakdown by
sub-trade for client and design team review. Our format is concise and simple to understand. Material options, special order lead times,
and other issues impacting schedule are also revealed at this time. A successful effort during this process results in a clear
understanding of not only projected job costs, but also the expected level of quality and length of work schedule.
Procurement Phase
Our fair and honest dealings with our clients develop a level of trust critical to “Best in Class” results. This phase is grounded in quality
bid documents and pre-qualified trade contractors. Aragon’s vast experience and successful track record has resulted in an
extraordinary list of service providers. We have built these relationships through close examination of work practices, job performance
and overall client satisfaction. Using a minimum of three subcontractors for each major trade, Aragon schedules mandatory job site
walkthroughs so field conditions are witnessed and discussed at all levels. After the site tour, any questions received are answered and
distributed to all bidders. We require bid responses from our subs to include a reiteration of work detail, line item cost breakdown and
separate pricing for alternative methods. Upon receipt of the proposals, our estimating department and assigned project manager review bids both individually and as a group.

Lissioni Associates
Elie Tahari, one of the most prominent women’s fashion designers, selected
Aragon as the General Contractor for the expansion of their corporate offices,
working alongside such architects as Lissioni Associates from Milan, and J.J.
Falk.
Midway through construction, Elie Tahari himself had elected to change the
architectural design to incorporate visions that aesthetically enhanced his
location. Although the project changed extensively, Elie Tahari did not want
these changes to impact the scheduled completion. In order to adhere to this
request the project was converted into a design and build which entailed the
re-design of the infrastructure, new layout of finishes and the addition of an
executive bathroom. This project also included backlit glass walls, custom
media units, and large sliding glass doors; all of which created an elegant
backdrop for this designer’s inspirations.

Gensler
Aragon Construction was chosen as Construction Manager for the 200,000 +
square-foot interior renovation for fashion retailer Limited Brands at 1740
Broadway.
Aragon worked closely with world-renowned architectural firm Gensler and
the Owners Representative, Gardiner & Theobald, to complete the project,
which took place over eight floors of the Upper East Side property. Twenty-six
offices and four conference rooms – including a sophisticated tele-presence
room – were included in the renovations. The additions and changes added a
modern, clean aesthetic to the space.
Fabric wall panels and glass partitions with applied films were utilized
throughout the project to ensure privacy. Areas that had originally been
painted dark grey were covered in white and combined with white lacquered
MDF wood headers. The brilliant white color scheme brightened the office
considerably and contributed to the impression of additional space. Various
electrical, data and mechanical infrastructure changes were completed to
accommodate the revised layout.

operations under one roof, will be completed in early 2012.
The 25th floor features a design showroom and large space for full-scale
runway fashion shows, which is presented with theatrical lighting that has been
custom-wired for the space. All aspects of the company are represented
between both floors, which house all fashion and beauty divisions in a
showroom setting as well as corporate offices, conference rooms, and
customer service.
The primarily white, modern palate is designed to showcase both high-end
fashion and architecture, through the use of custom millwork and creative
lighting. Wide architectural poured concrete floors and high, beamed ceilings
set the stage for style showcases and a customized shopping experience, and a

18-story office tower at the northwest corner of 53rd Street.
Columbia utilizes the new midtown space—the entire second floor—for its
Medical Center’s Department of Ophthalmology, which operates under the new
name "Gloria & Lewis Flanzer Vision Care Center of Columbia University
Medical Center.”
This space features 14 treatment rooms, an elevator lobby, waiting area, office
rooms and technical rooms. With over 14 types of light fixtures, eight different
kinds of stone and several styles of glass tile being used throughout the space,
lighting and finishes are tailor-made to suit the purpose of the room they are in.
Visitors are greeted in the elevator lobby with warm and inviting light, a
soothing stone tile floor and a soft colored wood ceiling, while the waiting
room is lit with a variety of medium/high level light fixtures. An intricate 50-
foot-long by 9-foot-high feature wall of Anigre Quartered Fiddleback wood
paneling and back lit glass was also installed.

Aragon Construction was chosen as Construction Manager for the Upper West
Side’s prestigious Mandell School’s new state-of-the-art facility at 795
Columbus Avenue; a 15-story mixed use building between 98th and 99th
Streets on the east side of Columbus. After the new facility was completed,
total capacity grew from 300 to 650 and was able to matriculate children
grades 2-8.
Aragon constructed many exciting features such as a black box theatre in the
basement: inspired by collaboration among the teachers, the head of the drama
department and a theatre consultant so that students can stage their own
drama productions. A 2,000 square foot library occupies a significant portion
of the second floor and is centrally located among the classrooms for easy
access. It is both a research center and a place for traditional stacks and
volumes. A 20-foot long digital screen was installed on the first floor, and is
constantly being updated with student artwork. Numerous sustainable
materials were utilized in construction and Mandell School hopes for an
eventual Silver LEED certification. The floors of the school were made entirely
of rubber from old tires, making them 70% post-consumer product; the
classroom lights have dimmers and the entrance to the school was made from
bamboo.

mission of the College. Aragon renovated the existing basement, upgraded all
of the theater’s mechanical systems, fire alarms and electrical services. New
screens and draperies, an up-to-date audio system and expanded stages (that
can be used for performances and meetings) were also installed. Lighting in the
space was redesigned, while the 1960s era front doors and entryway to the

British Airways chose Aragon Construction to expand and upgrade their
baggage back operations space – technically known as a baggage make-up
room – at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal Seven, in Jamaica,
New York. Together with architectural firm Graf & Lewent Architects, LLP,
Aragon began working on the renovation in March and was completed by mid-
July. Graf & Lewent’s design team included Sideris Engineers and conveyer
consultants, BNP Associates, Inc.
British Airways needed a solution that would increase both the amount of
baggage it could handle and screening capacity. Specifically, the task included
adding more linear feet to the baggage carousel, or make-up device, and
reconfiguring the space to handle two additional 9,000 pound CTX scanning
machines. Aragon was able to hurdle challenges, such as sensitive security
issues, while enlarging the existing system.
Aragon went on to building British Airways headquarters at 2 Park Avenue on
the 11th Floor. The design features a clean, classic space that is representative of
British Airway’s distinguished status as one of the world’s leading airlines. The
large, efficient floor plan features spacious conference rooms and open
perimeter offices that flood with natural light.

Aragon transformed the 18th Floor of 745 Fifth Avenue into a high-end
headquarters for a leading development firm of resort properties and
entertainment venues. Along with architectural firm Meyer Davis, Aragon
implemented a modern and clean design approach, with residential-like
touches to enhance the aesthetic of the space. Marble flooring welcomes
visitors in the reception area, while the conference room seen from the elevator
has a continuous glass wall; after stepping off the elevator the eye is led
through reception, into the conference room, then past the terrace and right
into Central Park.
The elegant space includes 3,000 square feet of two large outdoor terraces
with remarkable views of 5th Avenue and Central Park, which will be used
primarily for client meetings and entertainment.
The office is made up of a reception and open office area, three conference
rooms, 18 private offices, flamed stained oak wall paneling throughout, two
pantries and a file room. A challenge of this project was fitting the high number
of private offices comfortably on the single floor space. To solve this problem,
Aragon utilized glass walls throughout, allowing for the creation of not only 13
private windowed offices, but also five, light-filled interior offices.

Aragon Construction, completed a 17,600 square-foot interior commercial
space for Forrest Solutions Group. The staffing & onsite outsourcing firm will
occupy the entire ninth floor of 19 West 44th Street. Aragon delivered a clean,
modern space that compliments the re-branded Forrest Solutions. Utilizing a
color palette of blue, orange and white that mirrors their logo, the new space
expertly showcases this next chapter for the firm.
The firm’s creativity was further showcased with inventive names for various
locations in the office – such as “Imaginarium” for the boardroom and “Fish
Bowl” for the small conference room – which helped infuse their personality
into the design. The space contains 15 offices, including two hotelling offices
and two general work areas known as Kumbaya Rooms.
The property’s high ceilings were exposed and plastered with a special finish to
convey the desired industrial look. False columns and beams were included to
neatly enclose all wiring, and Custom large white floor tiles added a brilliant
finish to the space. All offices feature floor to ceiling glass fronts, further
accentuating the open floor plan.

cabinetry and niche millwork; exotic woods and stones such as rosewood and
onyx were used throughout. A state-of-the art boardroom features a drop
down projector from the ceiling and fabric-wrapped walls for sound control.
The office also contains cast glass walls, a special area for artwork and high-

A global leader among financial institutions chose Aragon as Construction
Manager to complete their build-out. In order to meet the aggressive 12-week
schedule imposed by the client, Aragon was brought on board to complete
various pre-construction work to meet all of the necessary specifications to
execute this project on time. Special features included warming pantries, ADA
bathrooms, new trading desks and board room, and a full IDF and BMS system
that interoperates with the client’s existing 44th & 45th floor offices. This
interoperability required careful coordination so as not to endanger the
integrity of the existing network systems and services which are vital for their
core business.
Less than one year after the completion of the 48th floor project, this firm
requested Aragon’s expertise toward the successful completion of an even
more aggressive undertaking. At the start of 2010, Aragon began pre-
construction coordination for a three-floor build out, to be completed by the
summer; a construction schedule consisting of three times the space, in three-
quarters of the time as the previous project.

Aragon was chosen to build-out an entire 20,000 sq. ft. floor for investment
company, Solar Capital, in the landmarked building at 500 Park Avenue. In
conjunction with Ted Moudis Associates, Aragon held an imaging session to
determine their preferences in terms of colors and materials.
A palette of warm tones creates the office’s modern classic interior. The new
space includes five interior offices and twelve perimeter offices, as well as an
open trading area. Rosewood panels have been incorporated on the walls and
ceiling to create a sense of continuity throughout the space. The Wolf Gordon
wall coverings and fabric wrapped panels, on display between the glass front
offices, provide the space with additional ambiance.
The four conference rooms feature calicutta stone conference tables with fine
brass inlays and DORMA sliding glass doors. A finance room, pantry, two new
bathrooms – one with a shower –, two small lounges and two open office areas
with systems furniture, round out the floor plan, while McGrory back painted
glass and CaesarStone countertops highlight the acute attention to detail.

Four Floor Build-Out
Ted Moudis Associates
Aragon Construction was chosen as Construction Manager to build a four-floor
office suite for Royce and Associates. The office space which will house the
company’s New York City headquarters, is situated on floors 21 through 24 at
745 Fifth Avenue—a landmark Art Deco building in the Plaza District that
overlooks Central Park. With an aggressive 18 week schedule, collaboration had
to be very close and frequent with the other teams on this project in order to
deliver this on time.
Aragon built a handful of special features within the vicinity, including a wood-
clad internal staircase that joins together the contiguous floors of office space
which leads to two terraces. Aragon also built a main reception area on the
23rd floor, conference rooms, new pantries, a LAN room, private offices, open
work areas and a large trading desk area which features a state-of-the-art
cooling system that regulates equipment temperatures by circulating chilled
water. On the 21st floor, a gym was built accentuating a special platform that
absorbs sound and vibrations, with an adjoining locker room and shower. The
gym floors and carpets used throughout were all made from recycled
materials, making them 70% post-consumer products, achieving “Green” status.
A lighting expert was also consulted to ensure that light levels throughout the
space comply with New York City energy codes.
