TREKKING FROMMACHAME GATE TO MACHAME CAMPA guide and a mountain support crew will arrive at the hotel in the morning to meet you andhold a quick briefing, afterwards you will travel by vehicle to Kilimanjaro National Park'sentrance: Machame Gate (1,800 m). After the quick formality of acquiring climbing permitsand registering, the climbing process with will start by trekking up to Machame Camp (3,010m). The first stage of climbing Kilimanjaro on the Machame Route includes a passage throughthe rain forest (where tropical showers are highly probable).

TREKKING FROMMACHAME CAMP TO SHIRA CAMPAfter breakfast you will start trekking up to the second highest altitude camp, Shira Camp(3,845 m). On this day you will emerge from the rain forest and for the first time be able tosee stunning views of the Shira Plateau laid out in before your very eyes. You will also feelthe change of attitude. When you reach the camp, you will have lunch and have some rest.Afterwards you will go on an acclimatization hike towards Lava Tower Camp with a 300meter gain in altitude and finish by travelling back down to Shira Camp for a hot dinner.

SHIRA TO BARRANCO CAMP VIA AN ASCENT TO THE LAVA TOWERDepart Shira Camp after breakfast and head towards Lava Tower ascending from 3,845 to4,630 m. The rise and fall nature of this trek may present some difficulties to an inexperiencedtrekker, however the 4,600m altitude at the Lava Tower itself is crucial for properacclimatization to occur. The lunch break will take place here in order to give you some extrahigh-altitude time before descending approximately 650 m to Barranco Camp (3,960 m),which is the next overnight stop on this route.

BARRANCO CAMP TO KARANGAOn this day it is best to make an early start to avoid crowding on the way up Barranco Wall.Despite the Wall's seemingly daunting height and steepness the actual climb is rather mercifulat a mere hour or so. The top provides a great photo opportunity with Kibo Peak as thebackdrop.The next part of the day is rife with ups and downs where your guides will choosethe best place for individual climbers.A lunch break at Karanga Camp shall be followed by anacclimatization climb towards Barafu with its highest point being 4,270 m.

KARANGA TO BARAFU CAMPAfter breakfast heading towards Barafu Summit Camp (4,640 m),when reaching to Barafucamp we will have some hour to relax in order to regain strength and afterward you have tocomplete an acclimatization climb towards the intermediate Kosovo Summit Camp with itshighest point being 4,800 m and then back to Barafu Camp, where you will be served a hotdinner. It is better to spend the remainder of the day resting and sleeping before nightsummiting.

SUMMITING ON UHURU PEAK AND DESCENT TO MILLENNIUM CAMPSummiting starts at around midnight from 4,635 m, ending on Uhuru Peak at 5,895 m. Whilethe trek itself is fairly simple, ratified mountain air does pose a challenge. Therefore, a guidewill be present monitor conditions throughout the climb. Upon summiting, you shall have anopportunity to walk on the nearby glacier. The descent to 3,820m at Millennium Camp starts

after a two hour rest back at Barafu Camp.

MILLENNIUM CAMP TOMWEKA GATE

This last camp’s position is far lower at the forest line affording you a good night’s sleep (which isalso further enhanced by personal thoughts of having successfully reached the top). Breakfast willbe followed by returning to a level of 1,650m at the final point in this adventure; Mweka Gate.After a short celebration with the entire climbing crew and arrival at our offices, you will receiveyour climbing certificates and then driven to your lodge.

A booking will exist and confirmed only as soon as you have accepted our offer and paid thedeposit of 35% advance payment of the basic safari rate. This advance payment is due within ten(10) days of making the reservation. There shall be no binding contract until the advance paymenthas been received by KIDORI ADVENTURE Failure to remit your advance payment on time willresult in an automatic change of status of any confirmed space to a provisional basis and thepossible inability to reinstate your reservation. When KIDORI ADVENTURE receives your advancepayment, a booking reference number will be assigned and noted on your original invoice. Thisnumber shall be deemed to constitute acceptance and confirmation of your booking.The balance of the price of your travel arrangements must be paid at least 2 months before yourdeparture date. If the balance has not been received by that date, KIDORI ADVENTURE shall beentitled in its discretion to treat your reservation as canceled and if the balance is not paid in timewe shall retain your deposit.Special airfares are capacity controlled and often sold out months in advance. On advancement of deposit to KIDORI ADVENTURE, the depositor therefore agrees to be bound by thecompany’s terms and conditions. Any cancellation of a booking must be in writing and shall only beeffective upon its acknowledged receipt by KIDORI ADVENTURE. In cancelling your travel arrangements,you will have to pay cancellation charges as follows:

If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be ableto reclaim these charges.You can cancel your booking without paying cancellation charges if the performance of your package,or the carriage of passengers to your destination, is significantly affected by unavoidable andextraordinary circumstances. In such circumstances, we will arrange for your booking to be terminatedand for you to receive a full refund. We will observe advice provided by the Tanzania law.No refunds are given for lost travel time or substitution of facilities, for itineraries amended afterdeparture, for circumstances arising beyond the control of KIDORI ADVENTURE necessitatingalternative arrangements being made to ensure the safety and / or further participation andenjoyment of your safari, if you do not appear for any accommodation, service, sightseeing or tripsegment without notifying KIDORI ADVENTURE or if you leave your safari after it has begun, or missany scheduled sightseeing, activities, meals or accommodations

We reserve the right to cancel your booking. We will do so only in case of unavoidable andextraordinary circumstances or failure by you to pay the final balance. Unavoidable and extraordinarycircumstances mean a situation beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have beenavoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. We shall inform you without any delay andbefore the start of your holiday.If your holiday is cancelled you will have either a refund of all monies paid or accept an alternativeholiday of comparable standard from us if we offer one (we will refund any price difference if thealternative is of a lower value).In the event a refund is paid to you, we will pay this to your bank account within 14 days after thecancellation and you will not have any right for compensation.

If, after you have accepted our offer and paid the deposit, you wish to change your travelarrangements in any way, for example your chosen departure date or accommodation, we will do ourutmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes to be mademust be in writing from the person who made the booking. You will be asked to pay any further costwe incur in making this alteration. You should be aware that these costs could increase the closer tothe departure date that changes are made and you should contact us as soon as possible.You can transfer your booking to another person, who satisfies all the conditions that apply to thisbooking, by giving us notice in writing at least 7 days before departure. Both you and the new travelerare responsible for paying all costs we incur in making the transfer.Note: Certain travel arrangements may not be changeable after a reservation has been made and anyalteration request could incur a cancellation charge of up to 100% of that part of the arrangements.

It is a term of your booking that we are able to make changes to any aspect of your booking. If thechange is insignificant, we will ensure that you are notified about it. Examples of insignificant changesinclude alteration of your outward/return flights by less than 12 hours, changes to aircraft type, changeof accommodation to another of the same or higher standard, changes of carriers.If we are constrained by circumstances beyond our control to alter significantly any of the maincharacteristics of the travel services that make up your package you will have the rights set out below.We will contact you and you will have the choice of accepting the change or having a refund of allmonies paid. You can also accept an alternative holiday, where we offer one (we will refund any pricedifference if the alternative is of a lower value). We will tell you the procedure for making your choice.Please read any notification of changes carefully and respond promptly as if you do not respond to uswithin the timescale given your booking may be cancelled.If you choose to accept a refund of all monies paid we will pay this to your bank account within 14 daysafter you accept the refund.

“Force Majeure” means that KIDORI ADVENTURE will not be liable for any alleged damages because ofany circumstances including, but without limitation, acts of God, explosion, flood, tempest, fire oraccident, war or threat of war, sabotage, insurrection, civil disturbance, or requisition, sickness,quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions or other untoward occurrences.If KIDORI ADVENTURE is affected by Force Majeure it shall forthwith notify you of the nature andextend thereof KIDORI ADVENTURE shall not be deemed to be in breach of these terms and conditionsor otherwise be liable to you, by reason of delay in performance, or by non-performance, of any of itsobligations hereunder to the extent that any such delay or non-performance is due to any ForceMajeure.If KIDORI ADVENTURE is affected by Force Majeure it shall be entitled to, and may in its sole andabsolute discretion, vary or cancel any itinerary or arrangement in relation to the trip. Payment of anyrefund by KIDORI ADVENTURE to you as a result of the non-performance of any of the obligations ofKIDORI ADVENTURE hereunder shall remain in its sole and absolute discretion, although KIDORIADVENTURE shall use its reasonable endeavors to reimburse you where possible. However, KIDORIADVENTURE shall be entitled to deduct from any refund recoverable the reasonable actual andpotential costs to KIDORI ADVENTURE of the Force Majeure.Regarding civil unrest, once KIDORI ADVENTURE has investigated the prevailing situation as it deems fit,it shall remain in the sole discretion of KIDORI ADVENTURE whether to proceed with the trip. You mayin such circumstances cancel the trip. However, if, after having made all reasonable and properinquiries KIDORI ADVENTURE is of the opinion that the trip may proceed, no refund will be payable toyou.

Although KIDORI ADVENTURE. hopes that it would not need to levy surcharges it reserves the right todo so on the invoice amount, if this becomes necessary KIDORI ADVENTURE will endeavor to notify youin writing as soon as it is aware of any likely surcharge, and you must pay the amount of such surchargeno later than ten (10) days after written notification has been received (depending on thecircumstances). If the surcharge is not paid within such time, KIDORI ADVENTURE may construe suchnon-payment as an act of cancellation on your part.Rates used in the safaris are based on tariffs and exchange rates valid at the time of printing andadvertising safaris. Should a rate vary against the U. S. Dollar by more than 3%,KIDORI ADVENTUREreserves the right to recalculate the safari cost and apply the differential as a surcharge. Any refundmade by KIDORI ADVENTURE shall be in its absolute and sole discretion.

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between KIDORI ADVENTURE and you. To thetotal exclusion of any other terms and conditions . No alterations to the terms and conditions may bemade by any unauthorized employee of KIDORI ADVENTURE authorized representatives or agents,unless in writing by an authorized employee of KIDORI ADVENTURE. All decisions and matters subjectto the discretion of KIDORI ADVENTURE shall be made by an authorized officer or employee of KIDORIADVENTURE.

Carriage by Land, Sea and Air is subject to the terms and conditions of the carrier with whom youtravel and to international conventions – some which may limit liability. Land, Sea and Air travel arealso subject to operational decisions of carriers and sea ports which may result in cancellations,delays or diversions, over which KIDORI ADVENTURE has no control and for which KIDORIADVENTURE accepts no liability whatsoever.The passenger contract in use by the airline carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the solecontract between the transportation companies and the purchaser of these programs and / or thepassengers.

Temporary or permanent loss of baggage is the responsibility of you or the carrier. Please note thatwhen traveling by light aircraft during your safari, space is limited, and luggage is limited to a weightrestriction of 15-20kg. (Depending on aircraft type-some private charters may be less) per passenger,and ONLY soft luggage or duffel bags are allowed. No hard suitcases are allowed, and NO EXCEPTIONSwill be made.

It is your responsibility to ensure that passports, visas, travel permits, health certificates, inoculations,international driving license, or other documentation required for the trip are obtained and are inorder. It is your responsibility to meet any additional costs incurred by yourself or by KIDORIADVENTURE on your behalf as a result of any failure by you to comply with such requirements. Anti-malaria precautions should be commenced prior to departure. Please consult your physician for moredetails. Safari clients should bring their own insect repellant as this is often not available in the camps.

You must advise KIDORI ADVENTURE in writing of any special requests, i.e. diet, facility or physicalhandicap, when you submit your reservation request to KIDORI ADVENTURE which will be met ifpossible.

KIDORI ADVENTURE reserves the right without further notice to make use of any photography or filmtaken on this safari by any staff member, safari guide or operator for general purposes withoutpayment or permission.

The payment of the advance payment OR any partial payment for a reservation on a safari constitutesconsent to all provisions of the conditions and general information contained in any brochure(electronic or otherwise), invoice and travel documents. The terms under which you agree to takethese safaris cannot be changed or amended, except in writing, signed by an authorized officer ofemployee of KIDORI ADVENTURE.

You shall comply with instructions of any representative of KIDORI ADVENTURE safari guide or localground operator at all times. No client shall be accepted or be permitted to continue on a safari whiletheir status or mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of any representative of KIDORIADVENTURE safari guide or local ground operator, such as to render them incapable of caring forthemselves or make themselves objectionable to other safari clients or become a hazard to themselvesor other safari clients and KIDORI ADVENTURE will not be responsible for expenses by such personsprecluded from completing the safari for this reason.

Please remember, when you book travel related services with KIDORI ADVENTURE you are enteringinto a binding agreement that assumes all terms and conditions are fully understood as stated in thisdocument. On advancement of deposit to KIDORI ADVENTURE, the depositor therefore agrees to bebound by the company’s terms and conditions.

If you have any cause for complaint while on safari, you must immediately bring it to the attention ofthe local representative of KIDORI ADVENTURE or agent, who will attempt to resolve the situation.
