Background: The City requires the furnishing and installation of TemporaryFencing at various critical infrastructures during theRepublican National Convention. The Tampa PoliceDepartment has determined that the Pro-Active Barricade

System designed by Premier Global Production Company,Inc., is the most secure system available. The construction ofthe Pro-Active barrier system is unique to Premier GlobalProduction Company, Inc. and comparable equipment cannotbe located.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE "SINGLE SOURCE" PROPOSAL OF PREMIER GLOBAL PRODUCTIONCOMPANY, INC. FOR THE FURNISHING OF TEMPORARY FENCING IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF$290,000 FOR USE BY THE TAMPA POLICE DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OFPURCHASING TO PURCHASE SAID PROPERTY, SUPPLIES, MATERIALS OR SERVICES; PROVIDING AN

EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF TAMPA, FLORIDA:

Section 1. That the "Single Source" proposal of Premier Global Production Company, Inc. for the furnishing of:

Temporary FencingEstimated Expenditure: $290,000,

is hereby approved, and the Director of Purchasing is hereby authorized to purchase same.

Section 2. That the award period shall be from the effective date of the awarding or approving Resolution unti

completion of the project.

Section 3. That funds for payment for such purchase are to be provided in FY2012 from Account NoGPD8FATPD-06300 (Republican Nat Conv 2012-DOJ Grant) in the estimated amount of $290,000.

Section 4. That other proper officers of the City of Tampa are authorized to do all things necessary and propein order to carry out and make effective the provisions of this Resolution, which shall take effect immediately upon itsadoption.
