Introduction

TAMISHNA GROUP is leading exporter of knitwear to various parts of the world, with vertically integrated production facilities located in Bangladesh. The group comprisies of five units - TAMISHNA FASHION WEAR LTD, TAMISHNA DYEING INDUSTRIES LTD, ETAFIL (BANGLADESH) LTD, ETAFIL ACCESSORIES LTD AND TAMISHNA APPARELS LTD, with a sixth unit, TAMISHNA SYNTHETICS LTD, scheduled to begin its cotton mélange spinning operations in March 2012.

Tamishna Fashion Wear Limited+ Tamishna Apparels Ltd

These units are 100% export oriented knitwear manufacturing unit, producing a wide range of products for including pullovers, cardigans, jumpers and sweaters for men and women. We offer a wide range of styles from simple plain fabrics through to full intarsia and jacquard garments, which can be produced to our customers’ unique design and specification using our own in-house design team.

Our current capacity stands at 3.6 million pieces of knitwear a year. Our list of machineries includes 2000 manual flat knitting machines with production capabilities between 3GG and 14GG, as well as a total of 400 semi-automatic knitting machines. Moreover, we have made substantial investment in our automatic knitting section, which currently boasts a total of 102 computerized multi-gauge Stoll Jacquard Machines from Germany. We have also developed specialized facilities in the form of piece dyeing, acid washing, tie-dyeing and deep dyeing garments.

Our factory is located in Tongi, on the outskirts of the capital city Dhaka, consisting of a well-laid infrastructure with world-class amenities, which contributed immensely to Tamishna’s motto of producing highest quality products with the shortest possible lead time. These facilities, intended to to create a healthy environment for its workers, also include:

Tamishna Dyeing Industries Limited

This is another unit within the group, specializing in 100% cotton,

50/50 cotton and acrylic, 100% nylon yarn dyeing, Stone Wash//Acid Wash//Enzyme Wash//Pigment Dyeing//Tie-Dye//Dip-Dye//Garment Dyeing etc. with capacity 80,000 Lbs/day to cater to the Bangladeshi sweater and knitwear sector as well as the factory within the group. We have set up our dyeing unit with modern package dyeing machines and radio frequency dryer plant from the United Kingdom, which enables us to provide high quality dyeing in the lowest possible time as well as supply yarn on cone to our customers at very competitive prices. In addition, our dyed yarn has been tested for harmful substances according to OEKO -TEX STANDARD 100 by TESTEX, Zurich and is certified that the product meets all the required human-ecological criteria of the standard without exception. Moreover, this unit also we have also obtained certification on Textile Organic Exchange ( Organic cotton dyed yarn. )

ETAFIL (Bangladesh) Ltd and ETAFIL Accessories Ltd

ETAFIL, since its inception in 1991, has grown at an average of 20% per annum to become one of the largest suppliers of polyester sewing thread to various garments industries in Bangladesh today. The current capacity of Etafil stands at 2.5 million cones per month. Our dyed yarn has been tested for harmful substances according to OEKO -TEX STANDARD 100 by TESTEX, Zurich who have certified that the product meets all the required human-ecological criteria of the standard without exception.

Etafil’s sewing thread finds its applications in:

1. Denim 2. Woven (Shirt) Manufacturing 3. Knitwear 4. Leather and Artificial Leather Garments

These units also consist of a modern button plant consisting of

machines of Italian origin. This plant is Oko-Tex certified and possesses a capacity of 2 million pieces of sewing thread/month and 1000 GG/day button to support the Bangladeshi apparel market.
