No. II(2)/HWMP/402/2016.—The Governor of Tamil Naduhaving been satisfied that the lands specified in the Schedulebelow have to be acquired for Highways purpose, to wit forthe formation of Illuppur bypass in Illuppur Taluk, in PudukottaiDistrict and it having already been decided that the entireamount of compensation to be awarded for the lands is to bepaid out of the funds controlled or managed by DivisionalEngineer (Highways), (Construction and Maintenance),Pudukottai after having considered the cause shown by theowner (or) other person having interest on such lands as the

case may be do hereby publish the following notice under sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act,2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34 of 2002).

NOTICE

Under sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Tamil NaduHighways Act, 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34 of 2002) the Governorof Tamil Nadu hereby acquires the Rayath Dry landsspecified in the Schedule below measuring to an extent of81127 sq.mts to the same, a little more or less needed forthe formation of Illuppur bypass in Ennai Village, IlluppurTaluk, Pudukottai District.

The plan of the lands is kept in the office of the RevenueDivisional Officer, Illuppur and may be inspected at any timeduring office hours.

No. II(2)/HWMP/403/2016.—The Governor of Tamil Naduhaving been satisfied that the lands specified in the Schedulebelow have to be acquired for Highways purpose to wit forReconstruction of Road Over Bridge (ROB) at Km 0/2 of MSPcamp near Railway junction in lieu of existing old Bridgeat Level Crossing No.1136 in Railway K.M.340/4-5 in betweenTiruchirappalli and Poongudi Railway Stations inK. Abishekapuram Village and it having already been decidedthat the entire amount of compensation to be awarded forthe lands is to be paid out of the funds controlled or managedby Divisional Engineer (Projects), Highways Department,Tiruchirappalli after considering the cause shown by theowner (or) other person having interest on such lands as thecase may be do hereby publish the following Notice undersub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act,2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34 of 2002).

Ý‡´-2047.]

No. II(2)/LE/407/2016.—In exercise of the powersconferred by section 87 read with section 91-A of theEmployees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 (Central Act XXXIV of1948), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, in consultation withthe Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, herebyexempt the permanent and temporary employees of theKanyakumari Medical Mission, Neyyoor, Kanyakumari Districtfrom the operation of the provisions of the said Act for theperiod from 08.05.2016 to 07.05.2017, subject to thefollowing conditions:-

(1) The aforesaid management wherein the employeesare employed shall maintain a Register showing thenames and designations of the exempted employees.

(2) Notwithstanding this exemption, the employees shallcontinue to receive such benefits under the said Act towhich they might have become entitled to, on the basisof the contributions paid prior to the date from whichexemption granted by this notification operates.

(3) The contribution for the exempted period, if already paidshall not be refunded.

(4) The employer of the said management shall submit inrespect of the period during which that management wassubject to the operation of the said Act (hereinafter referredto as “the said period”), such returns in such form andcontaining such particulars as were due from it in respect ofthe said period under the Employees State Insurance (General)Regulations, 1950.

(5) Any Social Security Officer appointed by the Corporationunder sub-section (1) of section 45 of the said Act or otherofficial authorised in this behalf shall, for the purpose of—

(i) verifying the particulars contained in any return submittedunder sub-section (1) of section 44 of the said Act for thesaid period; or

(ii) ascertaining whether registers and records weremaintained as required by the Employees State Insurance(General) Regulations, 1950 for the said period; or


(iii) ascertaining whether the employees continue to beentitled to the benefits provided by the employer in cash andin kind, being benefits in consideration of which exemptionis being granted under this notification; or

(iv) ascertaining whether any of the provisions of the saidAct had been complied with during the period when suchprovisions were in force in relation to the said workshops andstores be empowered to-

(a) require the principal or immediate employer to furnishto him such information as he may consider necessary; or

(b) enter any factory, establishment, office or otherpremises occupied by such principal or immediateemployer at any reasonable time and require any personfound in charge thereof to produce to such Social SecurityOfficer or other official and allow him to examine suchdocuments, books and other documents relating to theemployment of persons and payment of wages or tofurnish to him such information as he may considernecessary; or

(c) examine the principal or immediate employer hisagent or servant, or any person found in such managementoffice or other premises, or any person when the saidSocial Security Officer or other official has reasonablecause to believe to have been an employee; or

(d) make copies of or take extracts from any register,account book or other document maintained in suchmanagement office or other premises.

No. II(2)/LE/408/2016—In exercise of the powersconferred by section 87 read with section 91A of theEmployees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 (Central Act XXXIV of1948), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby exempts theTamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms & Herbal MedicineCorporation Limited, Chennai from the operation of the saidAct for the period of one year from the date of issue of order.

(1) The above exemption is subject to the followingconditions, namely:-

(a) The aforesaid Corporation wherein the employeesare employed shall maintain a Register showing the namesand designations of the exempted employees.

(b) Notwithstanding the exemption, the employees shallcontinue to receive such benefits under the said Act to whichthey might have become entitled to on the basis of thecontributions paid prior to the date from which exemptiongranted by this Notification operates.
