1. G.O. Ms.No. 208, Environment and Forests (EC.1) Department, dated 15-9-2000.







Order: G.O. Ms. No. 23, Environment and Forests (EC-1), 20th February 2019.

Section 28 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Section 31 of Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 provides that the State Government may constitute a State Appellate Authority consisting of one or three persons as it may think fi t, to be appointed to help in the adjudication of disputes relating to Environment and Pollution.

2. In pursuance of the orders of the Supreme Court in its Judgment dated 27-01-1999 in Civil Appeal No.368-371 of 1999 of SLP (Civil) No. 10317- 10320/98 and Civil Appeal Nos.372, 373/99 in SLP (Civil) No.10380 and 13380/98, the Authority has been constituted under a retired Judge of High Court as Chairman and Experts/Scientists in the fi eld of Pollution Control as Members. Accordingly, the Appellate Authority for Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board was constituted vide Government order fi rst cited.

3. In Government Order fourth read above, Hon'ble Justice T. Sudanthiram, retired Judge of Madras High Court was appointed as the Chairman, Appellate Authority of Tamil Nadu

Pollution Control Board with eff ect from 28-03-2015 for a period of three years. Further, in Government Order seventh read above, Government have extended the tenure of Justice T.Sudanthiram Chairman, Appellate Authority of Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board till 18-02-2019 coterminous with the terms of Appellate Authority of Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board.

4. The Government after careful examination appoint Hon'ble Justice K.B.K Vasuki retired Judge of Madras High Court as Chairman, Appellate Authority of Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board for adjudication of disputes relating to Environment and Pollution Control for the period of three years from 19-02-2019.

5. The terms and conditions of the above appointment shall be applicable as per the terms and conditions issued in G.O (Ms) No.116, Environment and Forest(EC1) Department, dated 25-10-2007.

No.II(2)/HWMP/214/2019.—The Governor of Tamil Nadu having been satisfied that the lands specified in the schedule below are required for the purpose of Construction of Road Over Bridge at Km 0/4 of Minjur - Kattur – Thiruppalaivanam Road in lieu of existing LC No.16 at Rai lway Km 24/16-18 in between Nandiyambakkam and Minjur Railway Stations under Chennai Metropolitan Development Project and it having already been decided that the entire amount of Compensation to be awarded for the lands is to be paid out of the funds controlled and managed by the Chief Engineer (Metro),Highways Department, Chennai Metropolitan Development Project, Division-5, Guindy, Chennai – 32 and after having considered the cause shown by the owner or other person having interest in the said lands, as the case may be, do hereby publish the following notice under sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (TN Act 34 of 2002).

No.II(2)/HWMP/216/2019.—The Governor of Tamil Nadu having been satisfi ed that the lands specifi ed in the Schedule below are required for Highways purpose to wit for upgrading State Highways Road (SH-15) - Gobichettypalayam - Erode Road Kugalur and Odathurai Villages, Gobichettypalayam and Bhavani Taluks in Erode District and it having already been decided that the entire amount of compensation to be awarded for the lands is to be paid out of the funds controlled and managed by Divisional Engineer (Highways) Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project-II, Tiruppur and after having considered the cause shown by the owner or other persons having interest on such lands as the case may be, do hereby publish the following notice under sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act, 34 of 2002).

NOTICE

Under sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34 of 2002), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby acquires the Rayatwari dry and Rayatwari manai lands specifi ed in the Schedule below and measuring to an extent of 28207 Square Metres for purpose of upgrading the State Highways Road, (SH-15) Gobichettypalayam - Erode Road in Kugalur and Odathurai Villages, Gobichettypalayam and Bhavani Taluks in Erode District.

The plan of the lands under acquisition are kept in the offi ce of the Special District Revenue Offi cer (Land Acquisition), Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project-II, Salem and Offi ce of the Special Tahsildar (L.A), Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project-II, Tiruppur and may be inspected at any time during offi ce hours.
