MacLean’s for the fabulous Book Fair. The commission from these

sales goes back to the library to purchase new books for the

children. Thank you so much to those families, who purchased a

book to donate to the library, it is greatly appreciated.

Due to the Kindergarten to Year 2 excursion KE and 2P’s library

be able to do so on Thursday.

Mrs K Dowding - Teacher/Librarian

The last of the plants have been ordered this week for the 'Bee and Pollinator' project and you'll see these in the gardens soon. The first seedlings that the school community planted during the June 2019 working bee have survived and grown very well, some are even flow-ering! We welcome everyone to join us for another working bee on September 22nd, to help prepare the gardens for opening as part of the Lake Macquarie Garden Club's Open Garden and Art Trail 2019.

There has been a lot happening behind the scenes to make props and grow plants for our entry in the school garden bed design compe-tition, to be displayed and judged at the Lake Macquarie City Coun-cil's 2019 Living Smart Festival, Speers Point Park, on September 28th. Please mark this festival date in your diaries and make a plan to visit the competition gardens.

REQUEST FOR ALL SCHOOL MAINTENANCE LOCAL

TRADES PROVIDERS AND SUPPLIERS

The NSW Government has committed the largest investment in planned

maintenance at public schools in the history of NSW. A record $1.3

billion is being spent on an ambitious delivery program, focused on

employing local businesses and contractors across the state.

To assist in addressing regional school maintenance issues and at the

same time provide work for local trade’s persons and suppliers across

the Hunter / Central Coast regions, over $100 million is being invested to

upgrade and maintain our school infrastructure.

Given this record spend by School Infrastructure NSW, you are invited to

an Asset Management Unit industry breakfast briefing. This will provide

information to existing and new contractors on how you can get involved.

To find out more by attending our Industry breakfast on Friday 20th

September 2019 – 7:00am at Rutherford HS (Primarily targeted to

Company’s /Tradespeople in the Lower Hunter/Upper Hunter) register at
