How are you today friends?Today we would like to share about Habitat and Environment.It is 8th unit in Science lesson.

Here the objectives of science.1. Explain the meaning of a habitat and a population.2. Recognize the different habitats found in the environment.3. Recognize the different plants and animals found in the different habitats.4. Distinguish between a healthy environment and an unhealthy environment.5. Describe environmental conditions that affect our health.6. Know how to care for the environment.

1. Explain the meaning of a habitat and a population.What is a habitat?A habitat is the place where a living thing lives.Here we know that each thing has different characteristics. Such as habitat

for horse, dog, cheetah, donkey, human, etc,,, do not same. Habitat usually influenced by air, water, food, space and shelter. How come if we as human beings, for instance, live without air, we will die soon and other reasons, why? Because we need oxygen to take breath in and carbon dioxide to breath out.

The other side we must know about population. What is a population?Population is a group of living things of the same kind that live and

reproduce in the same place. For instance population of giraffe, they live in the grassland whether male and female, population of elephant too, they live both young and adult live altogether.

Jaguars are strong swimmers and climbers and require large areas of tropical rain forest and stretches of riverbank to survive. Hunting and habitat loss due to deforestation continue to threaten the survival of these marvelous cats.

2. Recognize the different habitats found in the environment.Here the different habitat that we usually find such as garden, forest, desert, and sea.

3. Recognize the different plants and animals found in the different habitats.

FORESTHere some animals and plants found in the forest. Tropical forest in the

example of forest and it is warm and very wet. More than half of animals and plants live here (rainforest).

jaguar This animal, we must keep well because the hunter will take their own fur. We keep them by stopping to buy the products made jaguar fur.

DESERTTalking about desert, the ground is very hot and hard for animals to

move around. The sidewinder snake moves sideways so that only a small part of its body touches the hot sand. Here some animals and plants found in the desert.

SEAAnimals such as turtles and dolphin can choke on plastics bags or Styrofoam cups that are thrown into the sea. Please not to throw our rubbish or litter into the sea but put the rubbish bin. Here some animals and plants found in the sea.

4. Distinguish between a healthy environment and an unhealthy environment.

The characteristics of healthy environment such as:1. clean garden, river, house2. have plenty of fresh air3. fit for people, animals and plants

The are of your own house made disturb your activities, please do not throw the rubbish away because it will invited the germs. Besides, do not throw the rubbish to the river because it will make water dirty and people who drink the water from it will make you vomit and become stomachache and finally will be fall sick.

5. Describe environmental conditions that affect our health.The characteristics of healthy environment such as:

1. clean garden, river, house2. have plenty of fresh air (air quality)3. fit for people, animals and plants4. sources of nutrition (farming: soil quality, water availability,

biodiversity/bio-integrity, genetically modified organisms (GMOs); hunting, fishing: wildlife, fish populations.)

5. water (drinking, cooking; cleaning / sanitation); 6. ozone layer (protection from UV, cancers, etc); 7. space for exercise and recreation; 8. sanitation / waste recycling and disposal.

6. Know how to care for the environment.Here the ways to care the environment.

1. Dispose of rubbish properlyWe should not dispose into the river but in the right place that provide.

2. Reduce, reuse and recycleWe should reduce the use of object that made from metals, plastic,

paper and more. We should reuse and collect them so that they can be recycle into new objects. 3. Stop burning

We should not to burn wood and rubbish because it will produce a lot of smoke.
