The UPS Store #4681 in Ocean View has been locally owned and operated by John and Joan Barrett for 15 years. Prior to owning The UPS Store franchise, John served as a Naval Officer, and both spent time in the business world. After retiring from his position as a Chief Financial Officer in 2002, John Barrett decided that all the free time that comes with retired life did not suit him. He began looking into business
opportunities, and with his financial background, he knew that a franchise opportunity made the most sense. The opportunity to franchise with The UPS Store, Inc. presented itself after the company had bought out Mail Boxes Etc. Working with The UPS Store, Inc. to find a location for his franchise, the Barrett’s signed the lease for a storefront in Ocean View in 2003, and their business remains there today. Starting as primarily a pack and ship business, their services have grown over the years to offer full service design and print, mailbox rentals, lamination, notary services, passport photos, faxing, mass mailing, and more. With a full-time graphic designer on staff, the ability to print in house, and through work with outside vendors, “there is nothing we can’t do,” says John Barrett. You are sure to have seen a print project done by The UPS Store, as they work with many local businesses, associations, and organizations. Striving to satisfy all customers, “we won’t let you leave with a poor quality job,” says John Barrett. Part of the Philadelphia Area Franchise Group, including 100 The UPS Store franchises, The UPS Store #4681 regularly ranks number one or two in graphics & printing within the group. To experience first hand their expertise and quality service, stop by the store at 29L Atlantic Ave, Ocean View, give them a call at (302) 537-8300, or visit them online at www.theupsstorelocal.com/4681.
