• In 1904 a currency revolution. The Bank of Taiwan establishes branch offices in Japan.
• 1949-1967 : Currency relations cut off.• The New Taiwan dollar is issued• 1968-1979: In 1968 Taiwan invests $20
million in U.S. Government.• 1980-2003: United States puts pressure
on Taiwan to raise its currency rates.

• Issued by the Central Bank of China
