I know for myself, as a family, my children will be catching up with their grandparents these holidays which is something they haven't done for six months. Our children will come home today with their Semester One Reports. This is a time to sit down, discuss and celebrate the positives that have been achieved in these reports. A reminder that school photos are on the 4th and 5th of August next term. Have a relaxing and safe holiday. Make some memories as we look forward to Semester Two, whereby ‘normality’ slowly returns. From Mr Harris

Term 2 has been an incredibly busy term with COVID, blended learning, a partial return and then the return of all our children.

Our children have gone from a classroom delivery of learning, to blended learning and then to the return of classroom delivery with a strong focus on technology, encompassing all the new skills that have been acquired during this time.

In terms of change, these times have been unprecedented and my congratulations to everyone on their ability to cope with this change and their ability to move forward. These holidays are all about reconnection and rest. They are about exploring and catching up with family and travelling, which we haven't been able to do now for many weeks.

Message from the Deputy Principals Week 10, Term Two has finally arrived. What a journey it has been! From observations and conversations this week, both staff and students are absolutely exhausted, both mentally and physically. The two-week holidays coming up will be greatly appreciated by one and all.

This term, we have had the opportunity to see our students full-time, without the normal breaks that come with assemblies, choirs, music programs, dance, drama and of course sport. Hopefully, going into Term 3, some of these will be re-introduced as they are an integral part of the whole education of our students.

In this holiday period, recharge the batteries of the mind and the body and just relax. If you are travelling away, soak it up! Most of all, stay safe on our roads and other places you may visit. We definitely have an interesting time ahead for us in our world and hopefully as a community, we can continue to build on the fantastic progress we have made.

Above are some ways in which can help to recharge the mind and body. We will definitely be implementing some, or most over the next two weeks.

Have a great holiday everyone!

The fees in advance can be used for any future activities your child may be involved in.

A Statement of Account will be sent home early Term 3 to inform parents of any outstanding fees and any fees in advance.

Re: Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD)

Every year, all schools in Australia participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). The NCCD process requires schools to identify information already available in the school about supports provided to students with disability. These relate to legislative requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005, in line with the NCCD guidelines (2019).

Information provided about students to the Australian Government for the NCCD includes: • year of schooling • category of disability: physical, cognitive, sensory or social/emotional • level of adjustment provided: support provided within quality differentiated teaching practice, supplementary, substantial

or extensive.

This information assists schools to: • formally recognise the supports and adjustments provided to students with disability in schools • consider how they can strengthen the support of students with disability in schools • develop shared practices so that they can review their learning programs in order to improve educational outcomes for

students with disability.

The NCCD provides state and federal governments with the information they need to plan more broadly for the support of students with disability.

The NCCD will have no direct impact on your child and your child will not be involved in any testing process. The school will provide data to the Australian Government in such a way that no individual student will be able to be identified – the privacy and confidentiality of all students is ensured. All information is protected by privacy laws that regulate the collection, storage and disclosure of personal information. To find out more about these matters, please refer to the Australian Government’s Privacy Policy (https://www.education.gov.au/privacy-policy).

Further information about the NCCD can be found on the NCCD Portal (https://www.nccd.edu.au).

If you have any questions about the NCCD, please contact the school.

Kind regards

Kelly Jordan and Jody Bond
