Many, particularly cheep watchmaker’s loupes are available. However when using a watchmaker’s loupe you should ensure that it has high quality optical lenses. Otherwise your eyes will fatigue very quickly and headaches can result from continuous use. Our PEAK watchmaker’s loupes with 13 dioptres up to true 80 dioptres, use such superior lenses A bi-convex lens is used for models with 13 to 26 dioptres. Beginning with model 2048-A40D a second, removable bi-convex white glass (crown glass) lens is used. Further versions from 48 dioptres to 80 dioptres have coated, achromatic white glass lenses. All housings have a hole to prevent the lenses from fogging up on the inside. All have an aluminium housing with matt black enamel finish.

As of June 2010 all of our PEAK watchmaker’s loupes have been produced with an additional holder and ad-justable headband. This highly facilitates use, because it is no longer necessary to “pinch” the watchmaker’s loupe under your eye brow. This simple and ingenious improve-ment allows relaxed work. When the watchmaker’s loupe

is no longer required, it can simply be moved to the fore-head with-out setting it down.. This saves time and prevents damage or soiling the lens at the workplace. The watchmaker’s loupe can be removed from the clamping ring and held in your hand.

40 dioptres: PEAK watchmaker’s loupe with two bi-convex, white glass lenses. These magnifiers are produced using UV-absorbing crown glass; for example the same type of glass as used for cor-rective eye glasses. The first permanently installed lens has a diameter of 20 mm and the second lens in a removable lens attachment a diameter of 15 mm. The excellent quality of the silicate glass lenses, which are resistant to scratching and solvents, as well as the high quality, extremely robust and impact resistant aluminium frame make these watchmaker’s loupes a tool to meet all workshop requirements. The lens attachment is removable allowing two different magnification factors. The housing consists of matt black anodised aluminium. A hole in the housing provides ventilation and prevents the lens from fogging up on the inside.

Perfect lenses to satisfy all desires: These three high power PEAK watchmaker’s loupes from 48 dioptres to 80 dioptres have achromatic (colour corrected), coated white glass lenses. The standard coating significantly reduces surface reflection. This ensures considerable higher transmission values, leading to a better contrast ratio and brighter image. The matt black anodised aluminium housings are provided with an air hole to prevent the lens from fogging up. Supplied with case. When select-ing the magnification factor it is always necessary to remember that every increase in magnification decreases the working distance and that a steady hand is required. This applies particularly for ver-sion 2048-A80D.

A mounting ring for inserting the loupe facilitates use of the watchmaker’s loupe considerably. This is combined with a thin, flexible band, for wearing on your head. This allows you to simply position the watchmaker’s loupe on your eye without having to pinch it between your eye brow and cheek, making your work more relaxed. When the watchmaker’s loupe is no longer required, it can simply be placed on your forehead.
