  • Haras Hacienda COVID-19 Action Plan Due to COVID-19, show management plans to implement social distancing policies at the shows. The show office will operate under a CLOSED SHOW OFFICE protocol to help protect exhibitors, staff and officials. General

    • Social Distancing (six feet between individuals) will be followed and you are asked to not congregate any any area.

    • Staff, officials’ volunteers, and exhibitors are expected to wear face masks or face coverings at all times when not

    mounted (staff will patrol the barn area to remind people people to stay 6 feet apart and wear masks)

    • Signage is posted throughout the grounds regarding social distancing, hand washing, and other safety guidelines

    • Anyone who exhibits COVID-19 symptoms, has tested positive for COVID-19 within last two weeks, or has been in

    contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last two weeks cannot enter the competition

    grounds. Exception: Healthcare personnel who have treated patients using appropriate medical grade PPE during the

    course of performing professional duties are exempted from this restriction.

    • Everyone entering the showgrounds will be required to sign a waiver. After temperature check and waiver verified, a

    wristband will be issued each day. No one allowed to stall on grounds without a wristband. Waiver is available for

    download from the website and will also be mailed to competitors by show secretary.

    • Everyone including staff, officials, volunteers and exhibitors will have their temperatures taken upon arrival each

    morning

    • Anyone with a temperature of 99.4° F or higher may not enter the facility

    • Participants and their support crew are required to self-monitor their temperature once daily prior to entering the

    competition grounds. Support crew is limited to TWO people per horse in addition to the rider. Exception: Para

    riders may bring those needed for their safety and support.

    • All participants, including licensed officials and volunteers, must provide emergency contact information and execute

    an updated Waiver and Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement required by USEF, as a

    condition of participation. Competitors are encouraged to not spend extra time at the competition grounds outside of

    their ride times and time to properly attend to their horses.

    • Competitors may not report to their warmup area more than one hour before their ride time.

    • Spectators will not be permitted.

    The Competition Organizer has the authority under GR702.1 and GR914 to remove from the facility any person who

    does not comply with the regulations and requirements in effect at the competition.

    Show Office

    • All entries must be perfect. No office visits will be permitted. Text, phone, and email will be used to communicate

    with Show Office. Packets will be placed in your stall before the start of the show.

    • Scratches and rider/horse changes will be communicated via text, email and/or phone with the show office and issues

    that need staff or official’s attention will be initiated by a phone call. Office and show officials’ numbers will be

    posted throughout the facility.

    • Stalling charts will be created using as much space as possible between different rider groups/barns

    • Music for freestyle rides should be placed in a box by the office door facing the warmup ring by 5:30 pm/ soundcheck

    at 6 pm (make sure your CD/thumbdrive is labeled with your name and horse name)

    Food Service

    • Concession stand will be open with limited snacks/food during the show. The restaurant is not open at this time.

    Competition Schedules, Score Sheets and Awards

    • Ride Schedules and results will be posted on window/door of office on warmup side of arena. Both ride times and

    results are also available on www.FoxVillage.com.

    • There will be no awards office at this show. Ribbons will be placed on a table by the warmup-facing office door. Social

    distancing must be maintained when picking up ribbons.

    • Copies of the score sheets will be emailed to the exhibitor as soon as possible. Those desiring a printed copy of their

    test can leave a SASE in a box by the warmup-facing office door.

    Entries: Entries must be postmarked on or before closing date on first page of prize list. Entries after closing date will be considered post entry and will incur late fees.

Complete entries must include copy of a Coggins taken within 12 months of the show date and 30 Day Health Certificate is required for all horses entering the grounds – NO EXCEPTIONS!! Entries missing any of these items will be considered incomplete. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, based on postmark date and entries may be limited. Those entries postmarked after closing will be accepted at the discretion of the show secretary, based on a space available basis and charged a late fee per show. If the classes are oversubscribed, a Waiting List (in the order of receipt) will be maintained. Management reserves the right to refuse any entry.

    All entries using credit card for payment must use the online entry at EQEntries A convenience fee of 5% will be charged on all credit card transactions.

    Entry Requirements: A 30 Day Health Certificate is required for all horses entering the grounds – NO EXCEPTIONS!! Complete entries must include copy of a Coggins taken within 12 months.

    Membership/Non Member/Proof of Membership fees: All participants (rider, owner, trainer, agent, lessee, or coach) must present to the competition secretary a current USEF membership card or copy thereof. In the event the participant does not have his/her card or copy, he/she must pay a $45 USEF show pass fee per show. All Riders and Owners must present a current membership card or pay the USDF non-membership fee per show. Those who cannot provide proof of their USDF membership may fill out an affidavit form and must pay the $5 fee. The affidavit may also be used to verify horse registration

  • and/or horse ownership. The USDF non-member fee is $35. Non-competing Horses: Non-competing horses are welcome on a space-available basis. They must have an entry form with all release signatures, a current Coggins, and pay non-compete fee and office fee per show, and a stall fee. Noncompeting horses must wear a bridle number when out of the stall. Horse/Rider Substitution: A new entry form must be completed for any horse or rider substitutions; no additional class fees will be collected, but a new office fee will be charged for the new entry. Freestyles: All Freestyle entrants must include a copy of a qualifying test. Music for all freestyles on CD or thumbdrive must be given to the show office upon check in to show office. Sound checks will be conducted during Friday afternoon. Official Ride Times: Stabling assignments and provisional times will be available to competitors online and emailed. Official times will be available at noon the day before the show. Refund Policy: Entry cancellations received prior to closing date will be refunded, less office fee. NO REFUNDS after closing date.

    Hazardous Weather/Act OF God/Accident Policy: Management reserves the right to cancel any classes due to hazardous weather, Acts of God, accident, or emergency. Every effort will be made to reschedule with priority given to any qualifying classes being offered. No refunds for cancellations due to hazardous weather, Acts of God, accidents or emergencies. Schedule: Classes may not necessarily be run in the order listed in the class lists. It is the responsibility of the rider to inform the show secretary of any time conflicts as soon as possible after receiving the schedule. Management reserves the right to change officials, limit entries, combine or cancel classes, and modify the schedule, and to modify or cancel awards and/or make whatever changes are required by circumstances to the competition specifications listed herein. Show Management reserves the right to cancel classes insufficiently filled and to refuse or require withdrawal of an entry for cause deemed sufficient by Show Management.

    Stabling: All stalls are permanent 10x10 with doors. Stall charts will be posted online and check-in will start at 1:00 PM on Thursday prior to show.

    Arenas/Footing/Warm-Up: All tests are ridden in 20 x 60 meter arena with state of the art, European footing with permanent irrigation system.

    Concessions: The facility offers a concession stand and on-site restaurant.

    Children/Pets: Well-mannered dogs on leashes at all times are welcome. Loose dogs will be impounded and will incur a $100 fee which is donated to the local humane society. Children must be adult supervised at all times. Ribbons and Awards: Prize for first place and ribbons awarded 1st through 6th place for all levels. Management reserves the right to combine classes with 3 or less entries. Ribbons and awards will be available after class has been pinned. Tests will be emailed. Champion and reserve ribbons will be awarded for High Point FEI, national level (Levels Training-Fourth combined) High Point Junior, Amateur and Open for each show. ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR HELMETS DR120.6 From the time horses are officially admitted to the competition grounds by competition management, anyone mounted on a horse at any time on the competition grounds including noncompeting riders, riders on noncompeting horses, mounted participants in exhibition classes and those competing in all classes and tests, including Para-Equestrian tests, must wear protective headgear as defined by this rule and otherwise in compliance with GR801. Any rider violating this rule at any time must immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is properly in place. Protective headgear is defined as a riding helmet which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. The harness must be secured and properly fitted.

    Exhibitors should exercise extreme caution before medicating their horses and should be aware of the US EQUESTRIAN

    USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT DR901.9: Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all

    classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Modified Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A non-member may participate as a handler,

    rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining

    Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are

    exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot

    (exception: Friesian performance FR218) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a

    lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8)

    Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own

    National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.

    MOTORIZED VEHICLE RULE- In accordance with GR1301.7: Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for penalties against those responsible for the child committing the offense. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

    The unsafe use of personal electronic transport devices, as determined by the competition officials and management in their sole discretion, that do not require a driver’s license to operate, including but not limited to segways, hover boards, and single wheeled scooters is prohibited on competition grounds. Operating such devices in areas where people gather may be deemed “unsafe use” if there is a risk of harm to others. If the operator of the device is a minor, the parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating the device in violation of this rule is accountable and may be subject to penalties. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. Sharps Containers: Competition management shall place a minimum of one sharps container per each competition, whether or not stabling is provided. Additionally, at least one sharps container per fifty occupied stalls for the disposal of needles and other disposable sharp instruments in convenient locations in barns housing competition horses. It is competition management’s responsibility to replace such containers when full and dispose of them properly. Competition management may fine any individuals including trainers, owners, exhibitors, or their agents up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. If local law has different requirements, local law will prevail.

    GR845 Equine Vaccination Rule 1. At Federation licensed competitions, horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by

    documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to

    entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by

    Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methods mentioned below. The frequency of

    vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers’ or veterinarian’s recommendations. It is recommended that vaccines are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. 2. In the case of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor,

    upon request by Competition Management, must provide documentation from the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in

    question received the vaccinations; name of the vaccines and date of vaccine administration. 3. In the case of vaccines administered by

    a person other than a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine

    purchase which is signed by the owner, or agent with care, custody, and control of the horse; name, serial number and expiration date

    of the vaccine; and date of vaccine administration. 4. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a

    history of adverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian on

    official letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperatures taken twice

    daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperature taken and logged

    twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to the Competition Management, steward,

    or technical delegate when requested. 5. Competition Management may not amend or enhance vaccination requirements without prior

    approval of the Veterinary Committee. BOD 1/17/15 Effective 12/1/15.

    US EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION RULES

  • THE RULES MAY HAVE CHANGED FROM THE CURRENT RULE BOOK. IT IS THE COMPETITORS’ RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE CURRENT

    USEF RULE BOOK FOR ANY CHANGES. The listed rules Are only general and are subject to change at the discretion of the Board of Directors of USEF. Current

    rules can be found on www.usef.org.

    All questions not covered in these rules and regulations shall be decided by the show management whose

    decision shall be final.

    Every horse entered for competition will comply with the rules of the horse show management, but management

    will, in no case, be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be condition of entry that each

    exhibitor shall hold this horse show and the officials and employees of the show blameless for any loss or

    accident to his horse, employees, equipment, which may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise.

    The management reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries, disqualify any riders

    or exhibitors, prohibit entries and cancel award prizes without claims for damages; to cancel or combine unfilled

    classes, or to reschedule classes after due notice to exhibitors; to change rings or rotate judges.

    Exhibitors are notified that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the judges or officials, on the part of the

    owner, manager, rider, or groom shall disqualify the horse, and the owner shall forfeit his entry fee and other

    fees.

    Show management reserves to itself the power to prohibit any person from attending or showing a horse in the

    ring and to remove any groom or horse from the show without being liable for compensation.

    No person will be allowed in the show ring during the time of judging except the exhibitor and those having

    official or requested duties to perform.

    It is the tradition of the show that riders be correctly attired for the class in question, that attendants be neatly

    dressed and the horses properly presented. Management may in its discretion bar any person from entering the

    ring if not suitable presented to appear before an audience.

    Young Horse Spectacular Hunter Breeding Class List Horses to be judged on conformation, way of moving, quality, substance, soundness and suitability to become or in the case of sires and dams apparent ability to produce or beget hunters. Transmissible unsoundness is only to be considered in cases of sires and dams or prospective sires and dams. Yearlings, two-year olds and three-year olds are to walk and jog before being moved on the line in order of preference. First place winners in their respective classes to return for Best Young Horse.

    MEMBERSHIP AND ENTRY AGREEMENTS

    Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Modified Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and

    Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or

    trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving

    Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this

  • FEDERATION ENTRY AGREEMENT By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the “Federation”) and the local rules of the competitions listed herein. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. Non-competing Horses: Non-competing horses are welcome on a space-available basis. They must have an entry form with all release signatures, a current Coggins, and pay non-compete fee and office fee per show, and a stall fee. Noncompeting horses must wear a bridle number when out of the stall. Horse/Rider Substitution: A new entry form must be completed for any horse or rider substitutions; no additional class fees will be collected, but a new office fee will be charged for the new entry. Official Ride Times: Stabling assignments and provisional times will be available to competitors online and emailed. Official times will be available at noon the day before the show. Any rider violating this rule at any time must immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is properly in place. Protective headgear is defined as a riding helmet which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. The harness must be secured and properly fitted.

  • ENTRY AGREEMENT

    By entering the below-identified show held on the premises of Haras Hacienda at 26427 Peden Rd, Magnolia, Texas,

    and adjoining properties, (the “Competition”)and signing this entry blank as a rider, owner, parent/guardian, on behalf of

    myself, my child, and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the applicable rules

    governing the Competition; including, but not limited to those of USEF, USHJA, USDF, WDAA, The Confederation for Working

    Equitation, Houston Dressage Society, and/or GHCTA as well as all applicable local rules of competition (collectively “The Rules”).

    I agree to be bound by the Rules and to the applicable codes of conduct. I will accept as final the decision of the Competition

    officials on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the Competition, its officials, directors,

    employees, independent contractors, premises owners, agents and assigns for any action taken under the Rules. I represent

    that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree

    that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Competition may use or assign photographs, videos,

    audios, cable-casts, or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion,

    coverage or benefit of the competition or future competitions. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and

    they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably wave and release any

    rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or

    misappropriation. The construction and application of the Rules are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of

    the State of Texas, and all actions to enforce, dispute, or assert any claims under this agreement shall be brought in the courts

    of the competent jurisdiction in Harris County, Texas.

    RELEASE ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER AND INDEMNIFICATION

    This document waives important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing.

    I AGREE that in consideration for my participation in this Competition to the following:

    I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse, as a rider, owner or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the Competition involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including, but not limited to, broken bones, head injuries, trauma,

    pain, suffering, or death (collectively “Harm”)

    I AGREE to release the governing rulebook and association presiding over the horse show to include USEF, USDF,WEIAUSA, the Confederation for Working Equitation, Houston Dressage Society, Showsecretary.com and/or GHCTA, the Competition, their officials, directors, employees, independent contractors, agents and assigns from all claims for damages or otherwise for any harm caused by me, my child or my horse at the Competition. I understand that I am entitled to wear protective equipment. If I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to my child’s participation and AGREE to assume all of the obligations of this Release on behalf of my child.

    I AGREE that “Competition” as used herein includes all of the officials, officers, directors, employees, independent contractors, premises owners, agents, personnel, and volunteers of the Competition, as well as any affiliated organizations.

    I AGREE that if I am injured at this Competition, the medical personnel treating my injuries may provide information on my injury and treatment to Competition management. I represent that I have the requisite training, coaching and abilities to safely compete in this Competition.

    BY SIGNING BELOW, I AGREE to be bound by all the Rules and all terms and provisions of this entry blank.

    Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability

    Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19

    The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19

    is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and

    local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations,

    prohibited the congregation of groups of people. HARAS HACIENDA has put in place preventative measures to reduce

    the spread of COVID-19; however, HARAS HACIENDA cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-

    19.

    Further, attending HARAS HACIENDA could increase your risk and contracting COVID-19. Due to these unprecedented

    times no individual will be allowed on the grounds without a signature on this document deeming the information

    provided as understood by the signed individual or as guardian for any minor in their care. By signing this agreement, I

    acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by

    COVID-19 by attending A Horse Show at HARAS HACIENDA and that such exposure or infection may result in personal

    injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-

    19 at HARAS HACIENDA may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not

    limited to officials, officers, directors, personnel and volunteers. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks

    and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and

    death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with

    my attendance at HARAS HACIENDA or participation of ANY Horse Show held at HARAS HACIENDA.

    On my behalf, I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless HARAS HACIENDA, its officers, directors, and

    representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind

    arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions,

    omissions, or negligence of HARAS HACIENDA, its officers, officials, directors, personnel, volunteers and representatives,

    whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation at any Horse Show being held at HARAS

    HACIENDA.

    ALL THREE boxes on the back of your entry form should be signed. The Trainer Box should be signed by the adult responsible for the horse on the show grounds. For JR/YR, this should be the parent’s signature (or the accompanying adult).

    A LEGIBLE copy of a current Coggins dated within 12 months of the last date of the show must be included. The name on the Coggins MUST match the horse’s show name or a notarized letter from the vet must accompany the Coggins.

    Current USEF/USDF cards must be included with entry. To be registered in Adult Amateur classes, your card must note your amateur status. Both rider and owner must be a member of USEF and a participating member of USDF for ride in qualifying classes to count. Owner may be a USDF Business Member.

    Horse’s USDF registration must be included. If you’re riding in qualifying classes, you must also have a copy of your horse’s USEF registration.

    Make checks or money orders made payable to Haras Training, LLC. American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit card payments are accepted.. If paying entries by credit card, a 5% processing fee will be added to your total fees.

    All entries using credit card for payment must use the online entry at www.EQentries.com

    Entries must be POSTMARKED by or on the closing date.

    PLEASE NOTE: Any entry that does not include the above upon receipt will be assessed an incomplete fee. Any entry that does not include the above by the closing date will be considered late and will be assessed a late fee. Packets and ride times will not be distributed for incomplete entries.
