BTHR Certification Programs are hotel operations

knowledge and skills related training targeted for

Job Grades 1 – 2. The purpose is to raise the level of

professionalism of Banyan Tree and Angsana

associates in terms of meeting the industry and

Banyan Tree standards of knowledge and skills. The

Programs are also aimed to recognize the

associate’s competence and commitment to

his/her job.

Banyan Tree Management Academy (BTMA) in Phuket,

essential managerial and leadership skills that will allow

them to manage their responsibilities to associates,

customers, & teams effectively.

time to facilitate the sessions.

Pre-workshop activities, case studies, role plays,

structured exercises and post-workshop projects are

used to transfer and apply management and

expected to complete an online learning after finishing

the Program.

This 6-day Signature Program will take place at the

Banyan Tree Management Academy (BTMA) in

“internal facilitators” actively share their expertise,

Banyan L E A F (Leading and Empowering Associates

Forward) Program is about identifying and

developing potential associates in JG 5. It is a self-

regulated career development program requiring

high levels of self-discipline and commitment. It is an

opportunity to prepare these managers for a higher

position.

Once a location is available, the successful LEAFER

who is most ready is endorsed for promotion.

However, there is no guarantee that the LEAFER gets

the promotion even if he/she passes the Banyan LEAF

Program because, it is the best candidate among all

who will get the job. It will entirely depend on timing,

opportunity, location fit and readiness of the LEAFER.

The GM PROGRAM is an exclusive Program that

provides general managers exceptional skills in

A combination of various learning platforms will be

used such as blended learning, interactive classroom

ATD: Designing Learning Certificate

Group Learning/Training Workshop (GLW 005)

Group Learning/Training

The GLW is a five-day workshop conducted annually

for all property Learning/Training Managers to align

training efforts and priorities to the overall business

strategy. This is the venue wherein their competencies

will be assessed and upgraded. One day will be

devoted to CSR training. To enhance the learning

experience of the participants, the program

incorporates another day for a highly-interactive

course conducted by an external professional

speaker.

Learning/Training Managers are expected to

complete an online program before coming to the

GLW.

Managers and Training/Learning Managers need to conduct in their respective

properties in allotted durations.

Conflict Resolution in the Workplace - TTT

This course is designed to serve as an introduction to

conflict resolution in the workplace and to provide

the participant with various activities in order to

sharpen their skills and to apply these skills to problems

of intervention in interpersonal conflicts.

Participants will be able to effectively deal with

workplace conflict in order to bring important issues

to light, open the lines of communication and

strengthen relationships among the associates of our

property. In doing so, the property will become more

efficient in serving our guests, creating a sense of

unity among our associates to work collectively to

achieve the property’s goals and objectives.

Effective Disciplinary Procedures Training Program - TTT

The program focuses on the various interventions that

management can take when an associate has a

performance or work habits problem. The participant

is given the basic tools to gain knowledge about

positive and progressive discipline. The participant is

on BTHR policies and property Code of Discipline

(Associate Handbook). Two-thirds of the program is

devoted to skills training on Counseling and Taking

Disciplinary Action.

The Hong Kong PolyU Winter School is an executive development programme for senior
