T3, Week 9: 5th Sept—9th GRADE 4 ENEWS! Important Dates ~ 12 Sept—Footy Day Lunch 16 Sept—Last day of school (2:30pm finish) 16 Sept— COMPLETED camp medical and behaviour forms due back LITERACY: In literacy we are completing our own Explanation Writing pieces, using our new knowledge of the text type. We have also learnt about neologismssuch as the newly formed word: “SELFIE!” NUMERACY: In Maths Groups, we have begun our topic of Patterns and AlgebraThis weeks focus involved the use of addion and subtracon skills, idenfying paerns and connuing number paerns. TOPIC TIME: “PCS Meets the World!This week our Topic focus was around how and why the Olympic awards are significant. We were fortunate enough to have our very own look and touch of a REAL Olympic torch and shirt, as Mrs. Wigzells Dad (Mr. Wis) was actually an Olympic torch bearer during the 2000 Sydney Olympics! Q. What will I do at the camp? A: So many fun things in the middle of a forest, on a farm! Archery, flying

fox, bush cooking, canoeing! Q. Will I learn how to do a new activity? A: You might such as how to swing on a giant swing!!! You might also learn

how to set the table, clean up and feed Spider pig the leftovers! Q. Do I wear my school uniform? A: Yes but only your proper school hat! It is important that you wear your

school hat (no caps) as it follows the sun smart rules. Might be a good idea to make sure your name is clearly written on it!
