We are fortunate to have many active community organizations that provide both services and educational activities for families of children with disabilities. In the following pages, workshops from some of the non-profit and government-sponsored organizations in our community are listed. This information is provided by SETRC as a public service; these workshops are not sponsored by SETRC. For additional information on these workshops, including information on registration, cancellation and inclement weather policies, please call the number provided with the workshop description. An additional public service provided by SETRC is the monthly Parent E-Letter. There are many parent workshops sponsored by community organizations that do not make it into this brochure, either because they are only in the planning stage at time of publication or because of space limitations. Each month, we send out an email with reminders about the workshops in this brochure, as well as a listing of any additional workshops that we have heard about. If you would like to be added to the distribution list for this monthly Parent E-Letter, simply send that request to Lois Schmidt at [email protected] with your name and email address. If you would like to see samples of the e-letters, go to the SETRC homepage at: www.pnwboces.org/specialed/setrc/welcome.html, and click on the Monthly Parent E-letter link.
