oRIentatIon PRogRaM FoR sY and tY students

The orientation program began on 14th June, 2021 with the welcome of the students, their parents, dignitaries, coor-dinators and faculties members. Followed was Saraswati Vandana and next, a brief description of the institute, which included the history, mission and vision of the college. The students were then shown a brief presentation on descrip-tion about the college accompanied with college achievements throughout the all these long years. Students were then introduced to the new course started by college which are Hotel Management, Fashion Designing and Interior Designing. Next were department wise overview which included the brief of the course and subjects for the current semesters (3rd and 5th) which was given by respective departmental coordinators. Examination pattern and rules were explained. Students were instructed the code of conduct for the online mode of the session. Lastly students were enlightened by the placement opportunities given by the college. Orientation program concluded with vote of thanks

Session on Stock Markets

A webinar on "Stock Markets" was organized on 3rd June, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in association with Shine Projects for B.com and Self-financed students of degree college.

The session started with the introduction of the resource person Mr. Shri Harsha, M. D-Shine projects, Certified Stock markets analyst, active speaker in share markets, Article writer and Macro Economic Experts. The resource person Mr. Shri Harsha started with basics of Capital Markets. He explained about the primary and secondary markets.

The objective of the webinar was to give the exposure and un-derstanding of Stock Markets operations to the students.

RMC Celebrates World Environment RMC Celebrates World Environment DayDay

A webinar was organized on the event of World Environments Day i.e. on 05th June, 2021 at 1 p.m. by NSS Officer, Prof. Nilesh Dubey for Degree Students. Objective of this session was to create awareness on environ-ment and how can we participate in protecting our environ-ment.The session started with awareness about environment, how to save environment and also taken oath on “Not to use Plastic” and “save electricity”. Thereafter students participated in Quiz and poster making competition where first winner Zoya khan was awarded with certificate.On the whole, the session was highly informative and interest-ing where students gained several inputs on the partial area in world environments.

Session on Investment Awarness

BAF, BBI & BMS department of Reena Mehta College of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management Studies had orga-nized a Webinar on “Investor Awareness” which was conduct-ed by Mr. Tanuj Poddar a management graduate with over 17 years of experience in BSFI industry. Sir has core competency in Banking Products - Retail & Corporate, Mutual Funds, Life Insurance, Soft Skills. Prior to embarking his career as an entrepreneur, he has worked with organizations such as Stan-dard Chartered Bank, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, HDFC Life Insurance and Bharti AXA Life Insurance. He has hands on experience in various functions like Training, Placements, Sales, Marketing and Business Development.

The webinar was attended by more than 50 students belong-ing Bcom, BAF, BMS, BBI, and Mcom stream. Sir had given a brief idea on how to invest carefully, what are the pros and cons of investing, how important investment is for long run.

The webinar ended with question & answer round and finally vote of thanks which was given by Ms. Sonal Jain. Overall response for the webinar was good and satisfactory

Tree Plantation Drive By NSS Unit of RMC

“MY EARTH – MY DUTY”

Every man needs the oxygen for their life and Trees are the foremost source of oxygen as well trees help to reduce the level of co2.

The NSS Unit of Reena Mehta College organized “Tree Planta-tion” programme “MY EARTH – MY DUTY” under the Na-tional Service Scheme (NSS) on 18th June, 2021 at RPF Barrack as well as in the college compose. It was attended by NSS Pro-gramme Coordinator, college staff and 10 student volunteers. Under the Guidance of Asst. Prof. Nilesh Dubey, NSS Program Coordinator, NSS volunteers planted more than 10 trees. The students also placed bricks as barricades and each student took the responsibility to nourish and maintain the allocated plant.

RMC Celebrates International Yoga Day

International Yoga day was celebrated in Reena Mehta College on 21st June, 2021. Students, Teaching and non-teaching staff of Degree participated on this day. Mrs. Kim Doshi, a Yoga Teacher and Mahamantri of Patanjali Yoga Samiti was with us on this day. She gave information on importance of yoga in our day to day life. The Yoga trainer Mrs. Kim Doshi taught few exercises useful to all the attendees. More than Fifty (50) Participants, participated and also performed few asana with all enthusiasm and energyYoga is a boon to mankind. At this time when anxiety & fear is looming over the world, Yoga can invoke much-needed inner strength & resilience in life. The NSS units of Reena Mehta College a webinar on “Dangers of drug abuse and its prevention” as part of the observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26th June,2021 by Organised Awareness Talks on Google Meet. Dr. Mohini Gupta (BAMS), Santushti Ayurvedic Medical College, she is Residential Medical Officer (RMO) in Priya Multi-Speciality Hospital. She has given speech on drug addiction and how to prevent its networking by creating awareness among the students. Around 21 volunteers include P.O participated in the webinar.

On 7 December 1987, the United Nations General Assembly decided to observe 26 June as the Interna-tional Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an inter-national society free of drug abuse.
